Friday Conga Line PWYC
Weaving through the house, we're working in a conga line to get stuff done today! Get that fruit on your head, conga style, and let's go! I hear the music starting!

Re: Friday Conga Line PWYC
I've been Conga-ing already with a type of declutter. I have returns to make today, and have gathered paperwork and taped each onto correct box so that I myself have no confusion later while I'm trying to balance all this fruit on top of my head!
HRH has a friend dropping by and we think he'll go to lunch with us, so that I can just ask them to wait on me a bit while I do the return - shouldn't take long since it's at the same place. A favorite sandwich shop is served by the same parking lot, so I wouldn't be surprised if nice sandwiches are in our future.
I need to get the back seat of our car straightened out some so that I can sit back there, though! This daughter of ours still has a stack of clothes in it from all her moving out!!!
Medicine Cabinet Day is today, in the (whoops, SLIDE ahead) CoMpLeTeLy RaNdOm July Declutter Challenge of our lovely, yet slightly whimsical homes. Anyone else have a medicine cabinet that isn't really being as helpful as your household needs it to be?
lucylee, I think that sounds like fun traveling to the event, especially if the children are excited about it. Enjoy.

Re: Friday Conga Line PWYC
Morning girls…
Been to class and just made my breakfast. Enjoying my second cup of coffee as well
Today is laundry day as yesterday was a recovering on for me. I also need to run several small errands but that shouldn’t take long.
It was a quiet night here last night with only a few people setting of small firecrackers. I was glad for that because I went to bed early. Thankfully I slept really well so that helped with my recovery.
I still have some computer work to do but may wait till tomorrow. My migraine lasted 24 hours with most of the sever pain occurred for 12 hours in the middle of it. Couldn’t sleep and I had to take more meds than usual so I’m still in recovery mode.
Don’t know how much dancing I’ll do, but slow and steady wins the race

Re: Friday Conga Line PWYC
Dcleaning lady is doing her magic and I've finished my breakfast. I managed to get the bed sheets into the washer early enough that she could put them back on the bed so that's a good thing.
Heat index is nearly 100 already but I walked ddog two laps. I need to figure out our supper. I'll s2s after dcleaning lady is done, I'll be cooled off from walk by then I hope.

Re: Friday Conga Line PWYC
~~ Waving Hello from the soggy and cool plains of Oklahoma~~~~ We are 25 degrees cooler today than yesterday!!!!!!
We had a couple rip-roaring thunderstorms through the night. The storms entered with strong winds that took out several trees, electrical poles, trampolines, and even took off a couple roofs of nearby outbuildings. Then once the storms made their grand and impressive entrance, they took a couple hour break and then settled down to give us 3.5" of much needed rain. Many local towns were without electricity for over 12 hours while the lineman worked through the night replacing those downed electric poles. I was thankful to have a generator that kept us comfortable. Restoring the internet service took a little longer than the electrical repairs but it came back online a few minutes ago.
There was a break between the storms that allowed the fireworks to happen. The fact that there were no lights made the fireworks appear brighter in the dark. We stood outside on our little hill and watched firework shows from several surrounding towns in a 20-30 mile radius.
DS15 came home from doing fireworks with all his fingers intact so I consider that a success.
My morning mile was a challenge this morning. It was still raining with lightning so walking outside wasn't possible. However, I am committed to doing this mile first thing, so without a plan I just started walking from one end of the house to the other. My first lap was 88 steps but by the time I finished the mile I had increased my lap to over 150 steps by adding in every possible room. Walking inside the house didn't raise my heart rate like walking outside swinging arms does, but I did the best I could with the circumstances I had so I am counting it.
I just cooked 24 pieces of bacon for everyone to have 6 pieces each. Depending on how each person makes their BLT sandwich it will make 1 or 2 sandwiches. I love fresh tomato/mayo sandwiches and the bacon was a treat. Now I am hoping the thin slice of bread doesn't cause my stomach to bloat. One BLT a year is usually my limit. This was it and I enjoyed every bite.

Re: Friday Conga Line PWYC
I was up late last night (very unusual for me), and up at my regular time this morning, which has resulted in me being quite tired. Perhaps some fun in the conga line will energize me. DH and I went out for breakfast, and now he's gone for a nap (he worked last night), while I opened and closed windows and drapes according to where the sun is at the moment. It's going to get fairly hot here (26C - 79F) By next Wednesday, we'll be up to 33C (93F). I realize temps like that are a walk in the park for LadyMaverick
but its's getting on up there to "dang it's hot today! for us Alberta wimps. At least we have a dry heat, rather than the humidity that Kathryn deals with.
I'd better get myself moving here..:
- go through Tupperware and baking stuff
- pull out the reel mower and make sure if it still works
- tie up the tomatoes
- flip laundry
- bring up new donation box

Re: Friday Conga Line PWYC
That worked out so well. Store was not crowded on this unusual workday at all. Many folks must be on vacations. I waited less than a minute to be helped and they were quick as a wink. $s back in the bank acct - very glad about that.
HRH was not going to be happy with a sandwich, so we ended up being the first customers at a fusion (as in several Asian cuisines together) restaurant and were served quickly, had a lovely meal. I had Thai Tea, which I've never ordered on my own (dd always gets it for me) and it was delish.
Very much enjoyed our company today. This is certainly my favorite of HRH's old friends. Since he was at our wedding, he must be my friend, too.
I must give friend credit - it's not often I get to sit in a restaurant anymore, since HRH doesn't enjoy that very much! He is usually a pick-up-order kind of guy!
Oops, have a timer going off.
