The reel mower and grass catcher have been located, cleaned off, checked (working fine), and posted on Ki ji ji. Tomatoes have been tied up, laundry flipped, ddoggo let in and out two or three or four times. She loves to be outside, but wants to come in with us. Then she wants to go back out to be whoever is still out there. It's not overly hot yet, but my brain just doesn't want to work. DS is setting up the second electric mower (also from dMum's) to see if it's worth putting up for sale. To buy one brand new would be about $300. It was working fine the last time DS used it, so fingers crossed!

I need to get moving:

- take pics and post electric mower on Ki ji ji
- wash dishes
- bring up clean laundry, fold, and put away
- deadhead peonies under the living room window
- deadhead roses under kitchen window

DS tried starting the electric mower, and it's being rather finicky. It did start, but ran very unevenly. We're going to leave it dry out for a couple of hours and see if it's any better then

I am staying up with hourly step goals. I turned my reminders off during VBS week so I got out of the habit of doing that hourly challenge. It is taking some intentional focus to make sure I get minimum steps accomplished each hour. It is a good reminder to pick up the limbs that the storms blew out of the trees last night. It is going to take several days to get all the limbs picked up. The storm stripped some of the green tree leaves and plastered them on the side of our home. I expect the leaves will fall off the house once they dry.

I placed 2 curbside orders to pick up tomorrow @high noon. The Sams order is the biggest with 18 items $217. The WM order contains a few things (15 items $41) that I can't get at Sams. Thankfully the two stores share a parking lot so I will just need to move from one pickup spot to the next. Most of these orders are cold things because I usually have regular pantry items mailed to my front door.

That piece of bread I ate has my stomach aching. It is frustrating when i KNOW what is going to happen, but I still do it. I have discovered that I can eat freshly baked bread without having the pain. There is obviously some ingredient in store bought bread that doesn't agree with my stomach.

I tried to make the yearly check up appt for the teens with family doc. I was surprised to find the doctor office is closed today. I have this task on OMM list so I will be reminded to do it on Monday.

I started to post from downstairs and dh got home and my thought train (what I have left) went to heck in the proverbial handbasket. When he comes in it's like a tornado sometimes. Where the mail? Then into the closet in front of the house pulling things out. Then someone coming by. Then wanting to know if I want to go out for a burger for dinner. Then something else, and something else.

This a.m., to get out of cleaning lady's way I came upstairs and went down a rabbit hole. When I pulled myself out I stamped a very little, then realized it was almost 3 and I hadn't had lunch. So I went downstairs and made lunch, and realized I also hadn't walked the ddog or showered. So I walked the dog, and I'm cooling down again now so I can shower.

LadyM, the dr offices where I work out are closed today, so the gym is closed also. They are all affiliated.

I'm on my step goal for the week, but will need to hit 8K tomorrow too to make it.

Bsweet, we have the same with ddog. She wants out, then in again. What she would prefer is for me to go outside and play but in this heat I just haven't. We threw around "Foxy" for a couple of minutes outside last night.

Well, I ended up deadheading the peonies under the kitchen window, and in the oval bed in the lawn. I'll work on the ones under the living room window later (when there's a bit more shade on that side of the house. I also started deadheading the big rose bush in the oval bed.

There have been two responses already about the reel mower. The first one wanted to send a courier to pick it up today, and he'd come by tomorrow with the cash. Ummmmm... I don't think so! The second one wanted to pick it up this evening, and pay by e-transfer. Then he said he'd send it, but it's never arrived. I let him know that I hadn't received the transfer, but there hasn't been any response. Nor did they ask for my address. Hmmmmm.... suspicious much?

Now I'm trying to decide what to make for supper.

The promise of rain seems to have been an empty one. Sigh. It's so very hot.

Humidity - here, we have some that feels as though it should really be parted in some way before swimming through it. You tend to start walking slower after going out into the weather. 96-97 today and everyone's hair has inflated. Putting in my barrette requires quite a bit of compacting first.

Steamed several greens together and enjoyed that with black-eyes, quinoa and brown rice tonight. I'd made cornbread for HRH.

The little medicine cabinet was not too difficult a challenge, but I have some things for dd to decide. Tomorrow the challenge is sort of lost on me - I probably don't have enough items, yet probably should toss what I have, am consistently clueless.

bittersweet, I'm sorry you've received such unserious responses about the lawn mower.

Twins', glad you at least got in a little stamping for some fun. Your dh must be hearing the beat of a different drummer.

Ramblin', I hope you continue recovering well.
