Sunny Summer Sunday PWYC
It's still summer out there, we're back to sun and little chance of rain for now. What are you doing today to end this weekend? Family? Friends? Some down time and quiet?

Morning Girls…
I have things I want to do around the house since I’ve had several off days. Stripped my bed and the sheets are in the washer. Once they are done drying I’ll remake the bed.
Got Sweeties pills straightened out by using Pill ID. One less thing to worry about. I need to vacuum and mop my kitchen floors. Also need to get my fresh chicken breast in my vacuum thingie so I can get them in the freezer.
It’s hot and sunny here and if I get every thing done may sit outside and read for a while.

Re: Sunny Summer Sunday PWYC
We're having three neighbor couples over this evening for "Bourbon, Beer, Burgers and Brats."
I need to get busy, the house is "clean" because dcleaning lady was just here on Friday but I have to undo the damage since then. I'm making a Mediterranean 7 layer dip thing and trying to keep it simple. Dh is grilling burgers and brats and I'll pull together the condiments etc. One friend is bringing deviled eggs and another dessert, and I don't know about the third. Dh also bought a chopped salad thing at Costco too. I prefer fresh to those salad in a bag things, but he loves this one.
I'm going to suggest we use our dining room instead of expecting any guests to eat on the west facing screened porch in 94 degree heat. Our breakfast table seats four right now, could seat six if we put the leaf in. If we use the DR everyone can sit together.
I made step goal of 56K last week by 710 steps. Sticking with 56K this week, considering the heat continues.

Re: Sunny Summer Sunday PWYC
Thanks for opening the village, [Twins'There won't be a huge amount of quiet time around here today. I need to get some things done around the house and the yard, get ready for work tomorrow, and visit dMum this afternoon. It's going to be another hot, sunny day. In fact, we have a heat warning, that will likely last most of the week. Our city actually has something called "extreme heat response".https://edmonton.ctvnews.ca/edmonton-to ... -1.6954194 I try to avoid using it, but thank goodness we have central air conditioning!
I'll have to check at the care home to be sure how dMum's garden is doing. Each resident has the opportunity to "adopt" a planter or raised bed. We've got one along the walkway to the gazebo area. Although we've had rain lately, I want to make sure it's got plenty of water with the coming heat. In the meantime, I should get a few things done around here:
- morning daily chores
- feed ddoggos
- water the patio pots
- fill the bee fountains
- sew half a dozen cat pads

Good morning!
My day is off to a good start. I started with two new to me habits.
** Morning mile before coffee (day #28)
** Morning papers before internet (day #3)
After those are accomplished then I feel energized with a clear mind and a plan.
Breakfast has been cooked and served. I do enjoy starting my day with delicious nutritious food.

Hi!
Dryer is going with a load from a couple of days ago. Just one of those "refresh" type cycles. Washing machine is also going with towels, etc.
Dishwasher needs to be emptied.
No idea what is for supper tonight.
Dh is outside watering his veggies.

Keeping Cool Tips /
So we are supposed to hit F. 108* mid. week here.
I am SO glad for the summer routines I have done in the past shifting my tasks earlier in the day that are
outside and a bit more exertive than others. Like walking and garden stuff watering shady areas etc.
Journals can be inside and later in the day.
Skipping
some things like dishes did not get done yesterday.
Bc I was in the basement sewing # noone cares lol!
I did spiff up the counters a bit and took out most of the trash that needed to go out I'd left out in case I needed to look at the carb count.
I have three fans upstairs that helps a lot, ac makes it pretty cool downstairs in the basement so
I've been using a blanket!
To keep it sleep-able upstairs, might be camping out on the couch downstairs this week.
# luv living alone so I can do this.
Ddoggo is getting used to joining me more in the basement these days.
I made up my cranberry juice and it's ready to go in the container I use for that.
I used to help with doing up water containers in the freezer for LH lunches and at work.
Make up a jug of tea etc. I just go one glass at a time now.
I could fill up ice trays but I do not use much of that. However.
Hot weather tip / when you are outside hose down your hair to cool off and grab a kitchen towel for on your neck after you soak it down.
Good luck with your summer routines.

Ddog is walked.
I think my plan right now is to work 45 minutes beginning at BOTH.
----------------------------
I didn't get this posted earlier, It's now 12:20 and I worked 45 min. I'm trying to decide what to do next round. I also need to eat something so may delay a bit to eat?
