I did a store run to the local market. A few things I needed were on sale win win!
Restock and some ahead for the freezer meat sale; got a sausage like I gave to dgdson, plus one more to freeze ahead
and package of sausage for the next time some one gets in a pizza making mood I'm good.
Drove the rig around to make sure it was charged up with good praise music was very enjoyable.
Spotted a yard sale on the way home and scored a baking dish with a carrier unopened in the
box that was on my list! For $4.00 so I count the other fun items free! A planter for the deck,
three wire bound journals you know I"ll use those, and a fancy long magnifying glass like 6" long silver,
a serving tray with flower on it, kiddie rolling pin and cookie cutters for doggos treats. I think that was all.
$17 for all of it.
The last journals I had I cut pages to fit my disc bound planner and have used two of the three I did up.
Had lunch and then soaked my feet.

LOL, LadyM on the clean up. Those things could also go to "prison" and he'd have to redeem in whatever currency would move him.
Dh is just annoying me today. He called home again suggesting we go out to dinner, and I've already planned dinner. And we ate out last night and I'm trying to eat "better." He's golfing this afternoon.
I'm upstairs, didn't s2s but will later. Even tho I haven't accomplished much, I needed to just get away and focus on this.

Dh asked about where the nearest dollar store was. I gave him the nearest on foot and then by car and he argued the one by car wasn't at all near by foot. His hearing/comprehension is going and it leads to bickering.
I'm thinking of napping now. Maybe I'll dust, then nap so I can say I did two of the five items.
Dusting done, including some tidying (but not enough.)
Also dh was ready to work on music so we picked the two pieces to do. We know one (although he doesn't know the bass line) and the other is an easy-to-learn hymn so we just have to practice, practice, practice.
I've set up the sewing machine now. I have one LONG seam to sew. Our king-sized mattress pad has worn out on one side (not sure if it was my side or dh's) so I'm sewing a seam down the 'middle' and will turn it into a mattress pad for the bunk bed or air mattress here for dgs. Once that is done, I'll get that out of the dining room where it is waiting to be finished. It sat on the bedroom floor for over a week, waiting for me to have time to launder it first.
I need to hang up a load of laundry to dry then walk the dog, and it's HOT! Dh came home early from playing golf, and he doesn't get hot. I'd ask him to walk ddog but I need the steps.

Back upstairs, I worked a bit more and am mentally worn out. A few more comments to resolve. Hoping I can work on this Sunday and get it back to her on Monday?
Tomorrow we are going to be out in the heat, but hopefully in the pool some? At dfriends at the river.

I stepped out on the deck to get a tray I have trying and looked up and on the horizion and
saw all this black smoke billowing up to the sky, heard no sirens but in a few min.
they were blaring. It is not so black now. So they much be putting water on it.
We are one fire watch through the weekend.
It is at the edge of town and out by the dump.
Nope between 1.5 mi from me. it is out now.
Something exploded in a shop and shook near by homes it was a shed
and it is gone now. They blocked off that area so lurkey lues cannot go see it.
Watched a movie for my Fri. fun.

DH is wearing a CAM (Carnation Ambulatory Monitor). It is only about the size of my hand and has been securely taped to his chest for the next 14 days. The instructions said not to wear it in a sauna or a place where excessive sweat happens. We laughed about that and said it was like telling someone living at the north pole to not get cold.
Hopefully DS15 new-to-him tires work out okay. The tires on his main pickup were so old that they were dry rotting. He searched around and found a tire shop that would sell him used tires. He bought new-to-him tires and got them mounted for a total investment of $140. Just looking at the tires, they look good to my untrained eyes. DS15 said 3 of the tires are all terrain and 1 is snow tire. I have NO CLUE if that matters.
The repair shop called and said the weedeater is ready to be picked up. DH and I retrieved it and will test it out later this evening. We are 2+ hours away from golden hour.

All five have been accomplished. Plus about a 15 minute nap.
No jiving but a bit of bopping during music practice. The two pieces picked for Sunday are "I'll go where you want me to go" by Mary Brown for the opening musical meditation, but dh will play it too fast compared to the online versions, and "Bringing in the Sheaves" for the anthem. Both are old so in the public domain. "Bringing in the Sheaves" is a good rousing hymn and we'll have the congregation join us on the chorus.
Both are rough because I have to remember to not follow dh since I'm singing the harmony.
The walk was rough but it was my first this month. There's something wrong with my tracker because it has be moving at 18 minute miles and I'm sure I was a lot long than that. I think the issue was that I was moving sooooo sloooowly that it didn't recognize I was moving when I was! Seriously, I went 1.77 miles in 32 minutes. That's not right for me, at my best it would be 1.5 miles in that time and I was no where near my best, moving one foot in front of the other, leaning heavily on my poles and each step causing discomfort bordering on pain.
In the time I walked the block to the grocery store from the restaurant, picked out the three items I was buying, and walked the 3/4 of a mile home, dh had walked over 3 miles, walking into the apartment before I had finished putting away my keys and hat.
I got the vitamins I needed to finish filling my dispensers. I dropped one of the dispensers so had to refill it picking up the vitamins off the floor. I thought I was short some until I remembers I had already taken one evening and one morning set. Then the pills worked out correctly.
Next up, I'll do that sewing so I can put away the machine and the mattress cover. Then I'm going to try to get to bed early.
I arose early and S2Sed so that we'd be better able to leave for the appt. Waiting for hair to dry, I watered some indoor plants.
The appt was not a big deal, although the wait was long and the tv, which seemed to be on some silly dance program anyway, was without audio. I had my phone and could enjoy posts here a little, but he was so bored. LadyM, I told him your conversation with Alexa. He says he just starts out with the phrase, "Alexa, Max Volume" to save time because "she" always makes such small changes.
Then to pharmacy. HRH was super irritated that his eye drop had been put back into stock. He'd JUST checked this a.m. and it was available for pickup. So, when we got home, I had to call the nurse and quickly let her know before the weekend. We've gotten the message that the eyedrop WILL be there tomorrow.
Later I did some declutter work on today's Shoe Day, and followed up on yesterday's Accessories Day.
This evening, I did some watering outside and made up a dilution of bat guano fertilizer, pouring that on certain plants I decided need a boost.
He says that since we will likely go back out tomorrow for the eyedrop, he'd like to eat lunch out with me. I suggested that we could call his friend who went with us last week when HRH had such a good time. But he said, no, you're my favorite person, I just want to go with you.
So, aside from being very pleased with that comment (!), I'm encouraged to find that HRH is becoming more open to going out. I think the positive appt with the kidney dr has reminded him that his good eating has kept him at a more confident place for trusting restaurants. A few years ago, the prognosis was that he would never improve because damage to kidneys was irreversible, dialysis inevitable. Nope.
He said, "where do you want to eat?"
I said, "anywhere"
He said, "If I ever open a restaurant, I'm going to name it "Anywhere" because that's the restaurant wives always choose."
We're going to a Mexican place now, because that was the first suggestion I finally came up with. Easy to make good choices there.
lucylee, I hope your dmother's pain responds well to the injection.
Ramblin', did that minimal pain-relief do the trick for you yesterday?
