((((Those dealing with fires and smoke))))) It sounds horrible.

I made 36 hamburger sliders. It only took about 45 minutes to prep, cook, assemble and package them. I used Hawaiian Rolls for the slider buns. The family absolutely loves these.
I don't eat them because experience has taught me the Hawaiian rolls will cause my body to ache. No thank you. I have plenty of food available that doesn't make my body hurt.

I am experimenting with taking pictures of my food before eating. Having visual picture of food on plate seems more powerful than words describing the food in an app. But it is another thing to remember to do. Will I remember to take a photo? I am not confident about that.

Hi!

I went to Costco for paper towels and toilet paper. That's all I got! I forgot that I wanted a case of Frappacinos.

Tonight I will be making hamburgers and grilling them. Most likely doing a sweet potato for dh as well. I'm having some leftover pizza for a very late lunch. We had a neighbour drop by. He owns a winery. We haven't seen him for a while so sitting on the patio and chatting took a while.

Later...

Ooops... dh saw a package of fettucine alfredo that I bought yesterday, so we had that and chicken burgers. Cheeseburgers will be tomorrow night.

LadyM how do you prep your tomatoes and peppers for the freezer? After that thunderstorm yesterday, our garden is going into overtime!

Did another round:
Bathroom has been mopped and Swish n swipe happened.
Kitchen sinks got scrubbed.
Sprayed bugs & put some stuff on weeds.

My spirits have perked up after lunch.

So happy the winds came up to blow smoke out of here yea!
Next up go to the basement and fetch laundry out of the dryer.
Swiffered & mopped other bathroom.
Finish the journal.
Watered the beds.
Got the bedrooms vacuumed yea!

We heard about the fires - I'm thinking the one bittersweet mentioned and at least one Nancy mentioned - on the radio news on the way to appt today. So sad, even more so to hear I have friends who have memories or knowledge of those areas and the losses. Hugs.

I hopped up extra early this morning to get S2S out of the way in time for my hair to dry before we drove out. I'd rather not put a clip in it before it's dry because it crimps it, but the excessive humidity sometimes calls for a clip. I guess my "frizz control" L ' Oreal shampoo helped, because I got through this (5th or 6th in a row?) 100-percent humidity  day looking relatively groomed without an accessory.

This is a big summer "thing" for me because my straight-ish hair transforms way frizzy/curly in the summertime humidity here. All I do is bring some from in front/top of ears around to back - not a lot - and use a small clip in back to control. I can tug at it a bit so that it will "frame" my face the way my paternal grandmother used to do. Looking like her used to please my ddad and is noted positively by some of my cousins, so, hey, it's all good, lol. All that to say clips are necessities right now, so I was disappointed that the ones I ordered on my "Accessories" July challenge day for declutter thread simply don't work. Sigh. There is ZERO space between the "teeth" and the "front" of the clips, so that was a bust. I'd think they were made for children, but they are too large - just best for very fine hair, perhaps. Goody brand has just the right space, so I'm spoiled by them even if slightly bored.

Thought for my day - It's not a waste to have tried things that didn't work - you just learned an extra lesson, so you're even brighter now.

Eye appt was testing, testing, but everything was fine. His left eye continues to have 20-20 vision if you just don't notice there's another eye. 8-) His right eye is simply kept healthy with his 6-drops a day regimen, with very little actual sight. As per usual, he completely smoked me in his wall eyesight test, even though I was just hanging out in the room with my glasses on.

Tomorrow he gets to go to the gen prac, who is a friend. He has one of those bobble-head type gifts for him, a doctor one as a gag. Then the week of appts is over.

how do you prep your tomatoes and peppers for the freezer?
The 2nd easiest way possible. :) I cut core out, then dice and dump into freezer bag. I lay the bags flat until frozen so they are easily stacked.
BTW - the 1st easiest way is to take Ziploc bags to the garden, pick tomato from plant and drop the ripe tomatoes directly into the bag. Then freeze. That is what I did during the years that I was working full time, owned the car wash and raising a baby. I don't recommend that method but it does get the job done.

DBro called with a long story of his excitement. It involved a fighting bull owned by a neighbor who supplies stock to rodeos. The bull went through 5 fences and ended up in the pasture with DBro's prized baby colt. 4 cowboys on horseback with dogs tried to get the bull to load without success. The cowboys horses were exhausted, so they left the fighting bull in the pasture overnight with DBro and DSisIL guarding the mare and colt. DBro went to the vet today and got tranquilizer darts to shoot the fighting bull so they can get it loaded. Sometimes the wild west is still alive.

I have accomplished Golden Hour exercise. I am waiting for DS15 to call then i am going to bed.
