It's going to be a terrific Tuesday! Let's get moving! I'm doing a little village clean up, sweep up; deadheading our beautiful flowers, clearing off sidewalks. We have a lot to do and be today

Twins - Thanks for the start and terrific encouragement.

Last Friday i had a small rash show up on my left side. I mostly ignored it. Saturday the rash spread about an inch. I put some cream on it and ignored it. Sunday I woke up with the original site of the rash being double in size. And it spread to another area. AND it had spread to the corner of my eye and under my eye was swollen and red. Now the rash had my attention!
I decided to drive to the city and go to walk-in clinic to get some help but then i remembered that I had some prednisone pills. I started taking Benadryl and prednisone and was very intentional and conscious of not touching the areas and washing my hands many times a day. Within 24 hours I could tell a difference. The rash quit spreading and has turned purple instead of bright red.
I pull weeds all the time and can only assume I touched some poison ivy or something similar that caused the rash.
I have two more days of prednisone pills to take so I am hopeful it will take care of the rash.
Go Away Rash and leave me alone!

I heard the truck at for has already been up to let dog out stayed in bed till five-ish.
Did round up the trash & take it to the curb picked up twigs for it, had to go back with the stuff I"d frozen so it would not smell out
so glad I remembered that yea! qt some journaling / daily task list done. Bfast some.

We've had rain air was better when I first got up I guess rain makes more smoke.

I will be hot here by the weekend so thinking I need to update my groc. list and get to the store
at some point in the next couple of days, not urgent yet.

Yesterday I watched on Net flix Find Me Falling trigger warning it deals with death in the beginning sui*cide.
Gave me some things to think about but over all I did enjoy it.

I'm not sure. I remember seeing and thinking -"Leaves of three, let it be". Obviously, I must have touched it before I realized.... however, I don't have any rash on my hand (no gloves) so that doesn't make sense. If the rash continues to go away, I am okay with not knowing for sure.

I just played with our new toy tool. A battery operated chain saw. We have always had gas powered chain saws but they have become too heavy and cumbersome for me to use safely. This battery chain saw is lightweight and is easy to get the job done. I am slowly switching away from using gas powered tools to battery. No gas or oil to maintain, no cord to pull...and pull...and pull...adjust the choke and pull some more. Just press a button and get busy.

4 phone calls and 2 trips to support DS15 before 10am. I just making a note to remind myself when this phase of our life is over. It is for a short time even though living through it seems like it lasts forever.

I am home and feeling soooo much better about the future. The surgery will be next week, on Thursday. So now I can plan. He said it's not bad, it's quick. I'll have something similar to a half-cast for about 12 days, and after my follow up appointment at 12 days, no restrictions after that. Wow. Just Wow. I'm seeing the end of this.

Now I feel like I can put some energy into getting things done, somehow I've been stuck. Needing to be out of here by 9:20 with dh nagging me did not lend itself to getting a.m. routine done. I did s2s, walk the dog, have breakfast, the three big things, but there's more. I need to eat something in the next hour and be ready to leave for workout in 1.25 hrs.

Right now:
-finish a.m. routine
-make a label for package for dd
-find ck that needs to go to bank for cemetery
-refill meds containers
-continue to make to do list!

I'm up and at 'em -- d2s, (with makeup and scrunched hair) before 11:00 a.m.! Did my Bible reading, devotional, prepared fruit tray to take to the funeral, sent dgd off with DS and dgs... talked to ds about my worries about football. Yes, I worried when ds played, too, but this is one of those things that MMN, you know. (Makes Me Nervous.)
Last night I could NOT sleep... latest MMN topics were football for dgs, and college football trips for me -- if I'm with the dgrands and it's after midnight and we need to make a restroom stop or we have car trouble! Panic... As y'all might have assumed, we live in the northern part of the state, and College Town trips take us right through the largest city in the state where a particular truck stop we used to stop at all the time is now on a truck driver's list as a DO NOT STOP -- known to be a dangerous spot for trafficking of women and children. It's the main artery to Atlanta. Telling myself I have AAA... nothing has ever happened to us (well, once coming home from a ballgame, something happened and we had to use AAA that night.) But anyway, I've made a lot of uneventful trips and I should be able to manage this on the occasions that ds can't go and I feel I need to take the dgrands.

Anyway... for today -- so far, so good. I will strive to make it a TERRIFIC Tuesday. Thank you, Twins! * So glad you are finally seeing the light at the end of your tunnel! (((HUGS)))

LadyM -- I'm glad you had some meds on hand to help with the rash. Does it itch very much? (((HUGS)))

Nancy, you're up and at'em too! You are always so busy, getting so many things done. I just seem to muddle around -- meandering, like yesterday's theme! That was a good word to sum up my life right now! I'm just meandering through...
BTW, I did see you and Harriet's comments on my J&C post... I'm thinking... thinking... surely counseling wouldn't make me WORSE. DDIL sees someone in Next Town and she loves it.

Some people seem concerned that helping with the funeral meals, even attending the funeral, would be upsetting to me, but it's really not. This is the third I've attended since dh died. Of course none of them were close friends, all have been well over 80, and known to be in poor health, so it's not like anyone has been shocked by a sudden tragedy... but still, I am managing these things fine. One of the preachers who did dh's funeral will be doing this one, so it will be nice to see him again.
There is one shocking death in our little Tiny Town, but not one that I feel obligated to attend. Last year, one of dnephew's best friends passed away extremely suddenly -- workplace accident with NASA. Young man, approx. 35 years old, father of baby less than a year old. Well, Sunday, we found out this young man's FATHER passed away. He's close to my age, apparently had a heart attack. AND his mother/grandmother of the 35 year old has also passed away in the past year. I am just speechless to think what the wife/mother of these two is going through. I can't comprehend losing three people that close to me in less than a year. I taught the children -- the young man who passed and his sister, and they live close by, but the parents were younger than me in school so I never really got to know them except casually. Dnephew was very close to the whole family, however, and I'm sure he's in a bit of shock right now also.

After the funeral, I will need to go to Wmart... ugh! Our Wmart is being remodeled and things are kinda difficult, apparently. Everyone is complaining on FB about it. But it will be better to make one stop instead of two, so I will brave the narrow aisles and things out of place.
Also have to go by the drug store and ATM.

Hi!

It rained here this morning! All 3 cats came in. Since then only the Baby Cat has gone back out. She was picking fights and running around like her tail was on fire, so I opened the door and she ran down the hall and took off like a jet plane. Zoooooom!

We are having chicken thighs on a tray in the oven tonight with various veggies around the chicken. Dh requested it.

I've been reading, cross stitching and doing a few dishes. Now I'm having a cup of hot tea and some cookies.

I am tired. Workout was very hard and I feel off - perhaps missing two workouts last week made a difference? I stopped at the grocery on the way home and got myself a salad for my supper since dh will be bowling.

We have a severe T storm watch until 9 p.m. this evening. Temp is 94 "feels like" 105.

I texted dmassage therapist to see if I could get in late this afternoon or tomorrow, but he had nothing that worked. I'll see him on Thursday a.m. This gluteal muscle hurts!

Lucy. so glad you talked to ds about your concerns. I think two adults need to be on jaunts and I'm thinking one needs to be 40 ish.
We have a partly cloudy day.
I am watching net flicks series again to unwind.
It is muggy out.

I do most of my stuff in the morning I am a morning person afternoons not so much.
I did get the bread out of the freezer downstairs.
Did the dishes & they got put away too.
Did some spinning,
I have a plan for dinner.

Quite the storm we’re having. It blew in very quickly, rain coming down and wind blowing hard. Water standing on screen porch already. I think we’re ok, but this is impressive.
