Today's news there were two new fires in the mtns. on the other side of the river in the next state over.

Re: Managed Monday PWYC
lucylee, no asylum will take you. They'll just say you are a high school English teacher, and they all turn out to be false alarms.
I left my purse (purse, now) in the buggy at a Wmart parking lot neatly compacted into the next buggy in a stack. HRH made a U-turn over a small median to get back there when I realized it. I was 40-something and without excuse, just distracted. WMart attracts this behavior.
This afternoon, a small life victory. HRH sent his sister a birthday "gif" and actually sweet invitation to come see us sometime. Sent her a dignified cat having a birthday cake because she has only dogs, lol. She seemed to love it.
Dd44 had called to check earlier I forgot to say, just before she hit the hay. She called after Tobias and I had been watching that lady sew up some blocks and chat, for about an hour. A couple times I sort of heard myself and thought I was speaking like that lady on the phone, not myself. When she was ready to hang up, I asked her if I sounded different. She was worried I felt I was getting sick or something, but I told her, no, my inflection, my voice, have I sounded more "country" or like someone else other than me. She had no idea what I was talking about, so I must have been listening into an audio mirror. I promised myself I'll send her a link and tease her to guess which direction of family was this charming cousin from. It would make her determined to come up with an answer, so I'd get a clue myself, maybe (who DOES she sound like).
Ya'll, I nearly went to sleep. But something else happened. Not urgent or anything, just pensive, in J and C. Up with HRH.
I was pulling out all the stops, too. Had the box fan aimed at me, bare-leg-ged. We'll try again. In theory, the temp goes down before dawn, right?
