Re: Sunday Sleep Chat PWYC
Good morning.
My sleep varies with the seasons. Less sleep (7hrs) during summer and more sleep (8 hours) during winter. I didn't realize this until I reviews my sleep pattern by month for several years.
I adjust my bedtime for when I need to wake up. If I can sleep in, then I tend to stay up later. However, even when I don't have a need to wake up early it is when I feel my best. I enjoy watching the sunrise. Weird. I know.

Re: Sunday Sleep Chat PWYC
I like to go to bed early and get up early. Ddoggo was in the bathroom on the floor asleep when I went to bed & was up in the nite
one time I think. Then woke up with ddoggo in bed next to me for cuddle time.
One or two nites a week I stay up a bit later for a treat or special show.
I'm glad for the cool morning today it was stuff in the house.
I did water and have done my QT & journal stuff out on the patio this morning.
I worked briefly on a project got the wrap on a section and to the end of the paragraph.
Set up some pages for reference for scenes to consider next week. Had to take a break from it
for me to consider some back story things I talked about with dd yesterday for context, that may or may not be important
but it it a relief to talk about that history part of it.
This brings up some unpleasantness for me as I think of what I & class mates experienced in that era. sigh
Deep breath to release it now. Thanks for listening / reading. Had a weird dream a day ago.
Bfast and walk ddoggo has not happened yet & walk x.

We had a good time last night but I was pretty tired. In fact, I was tired after I took a shower.
My cast feels really tight so I'm icing and elevating.
I slept very well.

Re: Sunday Sleep Chat PWYC
This is the second morning in a row that I have slept past 10 a.m. Last night there was a party somewhere in our neighbourhood and the music was just loud enough to know there was bad music being played. It wasn't a close neighbour, but close enough that it could be heard, if that makes sense.
I have moved the clothes from the washer to the dryer. I have also taken a package of chicken out of the freezer. I might BBQ if it doesn't start pouring rain. Forecasts predict a storm starting around 3 p.m.
I had to ask dh what day it was when I got up. I was sure it was Sunday, and it was! He just looked at me funny.

Re: Sunday Sleep Chat PWYC
I had every intention of going to church this morning. However, I was busy and I didn't notice what time it was until after church started. DH and I discussed walking into church during the middle of the service but decided not to do it. I set a weekly alarm so this won't happen again.
For the first time ever, our small town can have groceries delivered to our home! I think it is a fluke and may not last when they realize what is happening. A friend ordered from WM located in a further away town than our closest city with a WM. That further away WM accepted the home delivery order and then transferred the order to the closest WM to us. So....the closest WM won't directly accept a home delivery order directly from us but will accept a home delivery order from a different WM. It makes no sense for this to work but DFriend had groceries delivered to her home from WM this morning. DFriend gave the delivery driver an extra good tip since the closest WM is a 30 minute drive one way (plus tolls).

We harvested some green beans, a cup full of strawberries (which I chopped up and threw into some strawberry jello for dessert tonight) some blackberries, another bag full of beefsteak tomatoes and 3 huge red peppers. Everything is in the freezer other than the peppers. Dh also got a dozen hot peppers, which he is planning on drying for the seeds. He likes crushed pepper seeds on his pasta.

Re: Sunday Sleep Chat PWYC
Made it to church I talked to 6-10 people.
Nobody was hugging today.
Acoustic guitar no band today was a nice change.
Glad I went kids were back from camp & talked 4 of em spoke from high school age.
It was a big camp not sure where. No sermon it was 1/2 hr. longer than normal and I
did not even notice.
One gal is doing a lift group with women and the book has heaven in the title.
I'll look it up to read on my own.
Lunch is my left over soup tastes great.
Next week is at the park baptisms at the river & pot luck after. I typically do not go b/c of heat & allergies & my food restrictions.

Re: Sunday Sleep Chat PWYC
If I could choose my sleep time, I guess I would say... midnight, 1:00 a.m. lights out, and maybe 9:00/10:00 a.m. awake. I honestly think I do need 9 hours' sleep... but who knows? It's been so long since I got 8 good hours * consistently * that I don't even know! There is an app (RISE) that is supposed to tell you what your sleep deficit is and how to get the exactly right amount of sleep that you need... but it's kinda pricey, I think, and I know I wouldn't want to follow the "rules" they would give me.
Right now, I just get too caught up in something on tv -- same viewing routine as I had with dh... plus it's still hard for me to settle down and sleep alone in the house, without something on tv, and if it's on, I get caught up in whatever is showing.
I've got to TRY to do better though, because it's three weeks till football trips to College Town (ds is planning to go for the first game) AND it's only 4 weeks till I have to report for jury duty!
We made it to church. It was nice; dgrands had blessing of the backpacks, special prayer for start of the school year, and dgd got a new Bible because she is the only 3rd grader being promoted. The pastor really outdid herself -- since dgd was the only one, she found a Bible that is just perfect for dgd! It's pink and sparkly, and has space to journal and color in key verses (in the margins). If Barbie had a Bible, this is what it would look like. DGD has been coloring the inside cover pages ever since we got home from church.
I talked to dmom, and I have washed the dishes that have accumulated over the weekend with dgrands... wrote checks for two bills I've been procrastinating on... refilled meds... tidied up the bedroom... and set up my planner for the week. Also sent an email and checked to see if I needed to do something with another one I had received. (No action required of me.)
I need to get trash to the road.
I'm about to take the dgrands home. DDIL told them they needed to be home by 3:00 p.m. to help clean house.
There are another couple of videos on the self-improvement site "opened up just for you! 48 hours only!" They are trying to get me to buy the
$499
yearly subscription, but I don't think THAT much self-improvement is warranted.
But I will try to watch these videos tonight.

Re: Sunday Sleep Chat PWYC
The sleep chat reminds me of getting the kids ready for school schedule in increments a bit each day or week to more closely resemble the schedule they had in school. 15 min. a day in the a.m. and p.m. helped to achieve that goal. Dd & I were talking about this just yesterday. It is doable and a process. Now-a-days phones have alarms that can be used. I have a bed time reminder set up on mine it helps! My a. m. reminder is for Rx bout could easily be used for getting up.
I hope we all can focus on what we want to do and enjoy cooler temps. and fun inside projects with the coming fall shorter days too.
I'm thinking I could do 15 min at a time clearing out onions to make room for more fun flowers for the bees next year. Some neighbors are
willing to share seeds and I have some seeds from my own posies too.
