Re: Thriving Thursday PWYC
Thank you for opening the village this morning Twins' Mom!!
I've been busy this morning and I think everything is done other than making supper.
Dh has requested shake'n'bake pork chops. I need to either go and buy bread crumbs or a box of shake'n'bake.
Compost, garbage and recycling are all at the end of the driveway.
Dishwasher has been emptied and refilled.
Cat litter has been done.
All indoor plants have been watered.

Today was a
lite Buble moment when I realized my systems in place really help
like meal & menus chicken fish pork beef & bfast for dinner.
Early walk about on the yd. got branches in the can for keeping dry hoping for fire pit fun after we get some rains.
One more wheel burrow of these to add to it later on. Done.
Got my QT stuff done as I was awake early bs needed some attn.
Cooked bfast cheese egg & zucchini was yummy!
-----
At the store the freezer dept. wall was empty and closed for repairs so did not get the frozen. box chicken,
2nd store that it was not available at.
Walked saw 6 your turkey.

Re: Thriving Thursday PWYC
Cathy - glad to see you back to normal routine after a couple of rough medical days.
My day is off to a good start. I took DD13 to school and then stopped by the office to put money on her lunch fund. That fund should be good for a couple months now. School lunches here are $2.75. Breakfast is $1.00
DS16 went to work early to beat the heat. He will do homeschooling during the hottest part of the day.
DH and I are going to the city with a list of stops
** Amazon return dropped off
** Favorite charity to drop off decluttered items
** Big box store - the rest of the plumbing parts for bathtub replacement
** Sams - Gas
** Sams - Pharmacy for DH prescription
** Sams - curbside pickup
When I pick DD13 up from school we will immediately go to her yearly doctor appointment.

Re: Thriving Thursday PWYC
Yesterday was spent doing some errands with Sweetie.
The tooth I recently had a crown put on is bothering me. Can’t tell exactly where the pain is, but didn’t want to fool around with it with the holiday weekend coming up so I made an appointment with my dentist for this morning.
I really didn’t feel much like doing anything..took Tylenol for the pain which helped…so I started on my laundry which I usually do on Thursday. Have all of it done except folding some, so am working on it now.
My drapes are still sitting on my dining room table and I will get to it once I feel better. Kids are coming for a pizza and a swim tomorrow if the afternoon storms will allow it. If I don’t get back to the drapes, I’ll just put them on my guest bedroom bed so they don’t get wrinkled.
No need to stress over anything.
My leg still throbs if I do too much walking, but the stitches look great. Keeping plenty of Vaseline on them to keep the area well moisturized … that will keep it easier to remove them next week

Re: Thriving Thursday PWYC
LadyM…when I went to Sams the other day, many of the refrigerator areas were empty, including the chicken which is why I was there. Got a few other things that I needed and when I went to exit, I asked the fellow who checks your receipts when the reset would be finished.
He told me it wasn’t a reset, but the power had gone out for some reason over the night and the refrigerator section freezes stopped working. That meant all the foods that were contained in them had to be thrown out because they would be unsafe to eat!

Re: Thriving Thursday PWYC
With dh away, I stayed up way too late and snacked way too much last night. I did finish the sections of the payroll project that I had said I'd work on. Maybe 1 more tweak and a read through today. Dh is not thrilled that I'm working while on vacation, but I did volunteer to help my supervisor. And I'm just working 1-2 hours/ day. Just a little.
Glad to see life seems to be back to a more normal routine, CathyS.
I hope the dentist can help you, RRose. Tooth pain is hard for me.
Happy errands in town, LadyM!
WTG having systems in place and working for you, nancy.
Today, there is really nothing on my calendar. These days are very very rare, like a couple times a year rare for me. And I think I have 2 of these days in a row.
I finished laundry early this week. I've done the grocery shopping + we have a fridge full of leftovers from M and T at the moment. I'm pretty much through my work on the payroll project (plus some of the other teacher's work. . . ) My challenge will be to use my time productively so I'm thriving rather than indulging in an unhealthy way as I did last night.
Back exercises and a jog are up first. I jog in nearby parks along rivers (or around a pond) so I get to be in pretty natural settings at the same time. That helps me thrive! -- Need to charge my phone.

Ugh, yes, a visit to the dentist is in order before the long weekend. Glad the leg continues to heal, I still have a small darker area on my shin from hitting the step when I fell in Amsterdam in April. I didn't even realize it was scraped until i got home.
I've walked ddog two laps - excitement again today when she flushed the kitty out from the shrubs at the playground. She's been on high alert for the neighborhood kitties. She also got to see friends' cat yesterday when kitty was exiting house to garage and froze, then Millie went into the garage to be sure the kitty went back inside. Got to sniff it's bed!!! Where it sleeps!!!
This has been sitting for a while - there is a lockdown on college campus across the river from us. Got a phone message and text message and I'm streaming one of the local TV stations.
I didn't end up cooking last night so tonight's supper is thawed pork chops with apples and onions and maybe salad or broccoli.
I'm not moving very fast today.

nodding head in agreement. Late night and snacking seem to go hand-in-hand.stayed up way too late and snacked way too much
We are home from our errands. Everything is unloaded and put away. I do have several items to prep. I need to find a show to watch while I spend time in the kitchen weighing, chopping, packaging serving size and getting items into the freezer.
Done -
5 bags of Spinach
9 bags of Tri colored cabbage mix
11 bags of Grapes
7 bags of mushrooms
10 bags of cuties
I measured all serving sizes to 100g to make it easy to remember.
9 bags of cheese. It was packaged in 2 cup portion size bags.
I'm glad to reach this point in restocking the pantry/freezer

My book came yea!
So happy it's one of those self help type with prompts and stuff for each week!
Read some came inside to do a couple of tasks.
Sinks are clean in kitchen & swept the floor in kitchen & dining room.
Got the part of a dead branch down that had been bugging me that was easier than I thought it would be yea! \**/ \**/ Wa-hoot!
Thawed bread dough out and it's raising [proofing] in the oven now.
