The issues at the nearby college were resolved and lockdown lifted. Apparently there was a phoned threat but nothing nothing found when campus was searched.

I've mostly piddled this morning but it's been somewhat productive piddling. Received email from editor that corrections were made and article is moving forward as the lead article in the journal. And she suggested I develop a lecture about the publication and process, and suggested several lessons along the way.

Ugh, didn't get this posted before my workout. Lunch was a cheese sandwich on whole wheat with an apple.

An amazing workout doing upper body exercise successfully. Felt good to be back, and we gave the left arm a little extra work along the way to bring it back. She also measured my grip strength in both hands and I squeezed a small rubber ball in the left hand while I did some balance up - alternating feet/legs up and holding for a second.

After the workout I did a run by the post office to check HOA mailbox. Nothing there I need to pay before vacation.

I did a grocery order this a.m. - needed dog food and some other things before the trip. Got that put away once I got home.

Heading upstairs to stamp a little. Trying to put off dog walk - it's about 100 degrees out there.

Got the random grocery shopping done. We were at the point where we would have needed milk before Tuesday and it's a long weekend coming one, one we share with y'all, even though we spell it "Labour". I also picked up some pasta and sauce at one of the stores. They didn't have any milk and there were notices posted on the doors where the milk should have been. I also got some onions because we only had 1 left.

Dh told me he was going to stretch and I joined him. I didn't even read, I fell asleep shortly after my head hit the pillow.

Supper is in the oven. We will be having baked potatoes with the pork chops.

Ugh, I realized when I put away groceries earlier that I didn't need to buy milk. I had a gallon in the garage refrigerator already. Unopened, it might still be good when we get back. And I bought another gallon for when we get home (no trips out for milk for coffee once we're home.) And because the milk is the refrigerator is nearly gone, I got a quart to use between now and Saturday when we leave. Depending on cooler space maybe we'll try to take a gallon with us.

I did a little stamping this afternoon. I think I have five sympathy notes I need to write and send, perhaps before we leave. I'll need some addresses from temple admin, however.

DD13 doctor appointment was smooth with no issues. #Thankful

DD48 requested that DD13 spend the weekend with her. She promised to not leave DD13 home alone. Their neighborhood is not safe with many of the homeowners boarding up their homes and moving elsewhere. The police and firemen are frequently called to deal with fights and fires. It has been months since DD48 asked DD13 to stay with her. DD13 wanted to do it so I said yes. I will be saying a few extra prayers for DD13 safety this weekend.

DS16 just left with a friend to go to our local fair.

DH and I are home alone for a few hours!

General bits of cleaning around the house today. Also watering, deadheading, but mostly in the very a.m. hours.

Ds called to let us know the electricians have us on their schedule for this weekend. I hope they have not felt pressed to the point anyone is giving up vacation weekend time.

Need to catch up with dd44 and the grandboys as they leave tomorrow for a trip to visit in-law family.

Glad you got in some stamping, Twins', even though some for sympathy. Still creative and meaningful.

Thanks for reminders here that grocery considerations are definitely important at the moment.

Popping in before making a late dinner. Dh fell asleep on the couch & I don't want to make noise that will wake him.

Twins, so happy for you (& proud, too) that your paper is being published after you worked long & hard on it. Plus it will be the lead article! 8-)

Wishing you a Happy (belated) Birthday, Lucylee.

It's wonderful to see Helia here & posting :) . How nice that your ddaughters are sharing a home & live within walking distance.

Harriet, I hope getting your electricity working again is a quick & easy process. Thank you for posting that blessed/w2 is trying to get back here. I was worried something had happened to her & am so happy that we will see her again soon :D .

Still going through my desk. You'd think I would have finished by now  . It has a top piece with two cabinets & five cubbies in addition to two cabinets & two drawers on the bottom. It's fun to go through the physical stuff, but I keep procrastinating when it comes to dealing with papers.

I was going to make breakfast for dinner last night, but dh suggested Chi k Fi l A instead. I only ate half of my s picy chicken sandwich & w affle fries. Delicious & very filling. Will have the rest another day soon. So I'll make eggs, toast & bacon tonight.

I talk to you all as I read your posts even if I don't respond individually. Waving ~~~ hope everyone has a good evening! :)

any sauce cooked it and cut it in small triangles less than 1" for dog treats!
She luv em, I tried em they are edible by pets or people.
