Ta Da! Tuesday PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

Last night Lucylee shared a ta da that had been on her list for 13 weeks! Share some of your own ta das with us - we all benefit when we share and encourage!

I need to feel productive today - I am in a slump!

-------------
adding onto post, first ta da was walking three laps - about a mile with ddog. And it's past ten a.m., which probably means I won't finish a.m. routine until past 11. I hope I get a second wind sometime today!

I picked up dgs at 7.30. Mom says he had a rough night and my experience today is that it isn't any happier. He goes straight to screaming whenever anything doesn't go his way even when he has managed to tell me in words what he wanted those may not be what he really wants.

We are at the park now and he is playing happily on his own I'm I'm hoping for a long nap this afternoon.

Last night I managed to freeze all the meat that I bought at Costco so that was a big to die and today I have four recipes that I need to make in order to use up his milk because it will go bad before he comes back to me again. I only drink 1% milk and he drinks whole milk.

Two tadas from this morning is confirming I'll work christmas eve, and getting the meals set for my sister's visit to the cottage on Sunday.

Good Morning!

((((Cathy & DH)))) Keeping you both in my thoughts today as your receive biopsy results.

I drove DH to get his hair cut this morning. While he was doing that I went next door to the small outdoor plant sale. I brought home collard and cauliflower plants to grow in raised bed during the winter months.

More ta dahs, however small...
-finished a.m. routine
-set some priorities for the day
---workout at two
---write HOA checks
---make DPC
-made an appointment on Friday afternoon with mentee - I have another one, but she only wants to meet monthly and her portfolio is due in December
-signed up for somewhat guided research trip to Library of Virginia. I pay $350 for research assistance and guidance for the Library of Virginia - includes advance planning of materials and resources needed there, and and four days of on site consultations as needed. I pay for transportation, hotel, meals, etc.
-checked bank balances for my account and HOA account
-rebooted laundry, folded a load and put away.

I need to start on the HOA checks next.

We are having an all day rain - nice and steady!!!

dh and dd younger have been happy since dh apologized (even though he didn't want to at first) His whole attitude change is really lovely - no more angry, mean, or arrogance face on dh. he is happy and dd younger feels respected - tension is gone in the house. He is happy.

dh is sound asleep in his chair

what I want to do: menu plan

what I should do:
exercise
pick up the family room again - the dogs love their blankets and spread them all through the family room.
lets see what I decide

-------------------------------------
I had asked dh why he wasn't keen on dinner - he said he, now, stops eating at 1 pm bc it makes him feel better - he goes to bed at 8pm - I am concerned.

He literally eats nothing in the evening now. He is drinking beer but I don't know how much I only see a few cans in the recycling- I don't see any signs of alcohol on him- no slurring of speech, no wobbles that you assume with people drinking alcohol - but it is not good.

these beliefs are hitting him more and more. The trac keeps oxygen going to his brain, so I know that is good, but he has always had unusual beliefs - he really believes them instead of asking his dr. My favorite was when he went through a burnt toast time bc he said it burnt off all the calories - He is 138 to 142 pounds.

----------------------------------
As soon as I typed the statement above, dh woke up and came to talk to me. He told me he was glad he apologized to dd younger for his behavior. He said he was stubbornly angry and couldn't see that his behavior was bad. it stuck to him like glue. now he feels so much better and admitted his words and anger were over the top.

new plants are safely transplanted into the raised beds. Now it is just a matter of watching and waiting a few weeks before I can start harvesting from them.

I rode with DS16 during his lunch to do a few errands. I signed DS16 and his girlfriend for a couple membership at the gym so they can work out together. Also went with him to tire shop to get back rear tire fixed on his daily drive. They had a used tire for $25 that will safely get him through the next few months.

Breakfast was scrambled eggs. Lunch was the last of the hash broth. I need to make something soft, nutritious, and tasty for me to eat. Yogurt and shakes get boring.

RR - I hope the storm doesn't affect your area too badly. There is a mild buzz on social media while followers are trying to find/guess where the influential meteorologists will locate themselves. Those celebrity meteorologists keep their location secret so they don't get mobbed, but it looks like Panama City is in their bullseye for location of most storm action.
