Re: Ta Da! Tuesday PWYC
I can't wait until we get some rain, perhaps by tomorrow. We're still in the "cone" where it's predicted to go. Still in extreme drought here, too. I don't know if the projected amount of rain would even catch us up.
I managed to get four HOA checks done. The printer does not like the HOA checks BTW and then dh came in the middle of it all. Anyway, I have two to drop off in the neighborhood, one to mail and one was for me and is already deposited. And wonder of wonder, the guy who was pool chair person several years ago had the weekly maintenance sheet and I printed enough to get the current "pool boy" through the rest of the season.
So those are two big to dos off my mind.

Re: Ta Da! Tuesday PWYC
Stopping by to say "HI!" to everyone. I'm also procrastinating on payroll work.
I have A LOT OF payroll to do, namely grading my writing class midterm exams. A sub gave them on Friday since I was in Illinois for the weekend. I just got them yesterday but was still so exhausted from my trip that I didn't touch them. I definitely have to touch them today. I also need to prep and teach W D7 (another class, not the writing one. This one is online @ 4:30 - not my fav mode of teaching, but since the company is in Utah and we're in Michigan, it's the best/ only mode). And of course, we are hosting Tuesday dinner tonight, but it will be small, just M (renting a room from us), dd26, and L (Dd28's friend now our friend, an immigration lawyer working with children). And dh and myself.
Next:
- some qt
- payroll: prep W D7
- payroll: start grading midterms
TaDas!
- early morning jog with dh
- helped dh load old futon mattress in my car (he made a trip to the dump this a.m.)
- online order
- about half a.m. routine
- 10 - coffee with friends K, S2, and J
- list for WF made; checked with dh a couple times re: his recipe for tonight -- (pasta alla vodka. . . ROFLOL! -- I think it's a NYT recipe. It actually looks quite tasty, though I'm not a big fan of vodka. Most of the alcoholl in the pasta sauce will cook off, of course.)
- WF run --> put everything away
- lunch

More TaDas:
* successful time at the park and he was ready to leave before my deadline so successful transition.
* got a large and healthy lunch into him.
* got him down for his nap (again, he initiated the transition by asking for his milk.)
* mixed up and baked a Bisquick Impossible Ham Pie
* mixed up and cooked two meatloaves
* mixed up a batch of refrigerator muffins
(Those three things took care of 8 eggs and 5 cups of milk, excess items I have on hand because dh was sick and not eating, plus it makes up meals for me to put in the freezer and take up to the cottage with me.)
* washed up the dishes that didn't fit into the dishwasher
* started the dishwasher running with everything that fit in it.
Now I'm going to close my eyes and try to nap.

Re: Ta Da! Tuesday PWYC
Hello to everyone!
I have wasted a lot of time right here on this computer... must start MOVING.
After my big success yesterday, I decided I'd take a day or two off, before deciding what my next "project" should be.
I was up really late last night -- just scrolling the internet, really aimless sort of stuff. I did get up when the alarm went off, but I did not s2s.
* Wanted to get football tickets listed ASAP.
-- Brushed my teeth, put on yesterday's clothes, went to dbil's house to get the ticket he had left me. Ticket was not there.
Called dbil, had to leave message.
* Went to post office.
* Decided to walk outdoors.
* Called dmom, talked to her while I walked.
* Sent message to beautician -- to set up next appt.
* Dbil called back, so sorry he forgot, will come home at lunch and leave ticket then.
* Did floor stretches.
* Wasted more time on internet.
-- Considering a fancy journal/planner. Y'all might look it up -- Silk and Sonder -- It looks really nice, but ONE MONTH is $35. If you buy a year's subscription, it goes down to $18.99/month, I think, but that is still over $200. I think that is just a little too much to pay. But I keep looking at this journal. I could get the one month, see if I liked it -- but it renews monthly, and one of the reviews said it is really hard to cancel. So? I think I can make my own habit trackers, etc.
I sure do know what you mean about procrastinating over grading, helia!
Twins, we are right on the edge of the heavy rain prediction. It felt really nice outside earlier -- it's hot, but windy and cloudy. I enjoyed my walk.
Hope y'all don't get too much bad weather, Rose!
Need to check my dbro's weather forecast. He is about an hour inland from Tampa.
blessed, I am so glad you settled the tension between dh and dd!
Clean sheets ARE a wonderful feeling, aren't they, Nancy? The best part of staying in a hotel. I changed mine yesterday.
Saying a prayer for you and dh, Cathy. (((HUGS)))
LadyM, you've had a busy day already, and I am barely started.
Well, all of y'all have done a day's work before I get started.
I'm going to
[ ] go back to dbil's for ticket
[ ] put tickets online for sale
[ ] vacuum master bedroom and bath
[ ] do Bible reading and study for lesson tomorrow night
[ ] do GriefShare reading for tomorrow

Re: Ta Da! Tuesday PWYC
I have been a bit sniffly in the mornings this week.
Sheets are dry still in the dryer how ever.
Had bfast.
We have walked.
I was up by 7 but not very active.
A bit sluggish and stiff & achey today.
I need to hydrate 76* now not as cold over night so that is good.
I am redating or undating an old planner to repurpose it for my daily stuff took old full pages out,
one week ready to go in three more to do for Oct. so no rush on them. Stood up at tall desk to do that task.

Re: Ta Da! Tuesday PWYC
Nancy, teething might be the right answer. When I put him down for his nap he was crying when his tooth got hit by his cup and he had his fingers in his mouth.
He's awake now, waking up crying but now just lying in bed under the covers so I can't see him. He's had his 'wake-up' milk. We have 20 minutes before we need to leave to meet mommy as she comes off shift.
I rested for 30 minutes but probably didn't sleep. My hip/knee/ankle are aching so I couldn't fully relax.

Re: Ta Da! Tuesday PWYC
dd older found d mom's extra set of keys! They were on her keys. She didn't want to loose it and it looked like her other fobs from work.
d mom and dd younger went to Hampton social. They both like it a lot. They got me clam chowder and I am looking forward to it.
They are going to run an errand for me; I thought that was nice.
I took a bit of a break from menu ideas and straighten the family room. The other dogs blanket is washing (again
) lol it is never ending
I am feeling so much joy and peace now that I have had some time alone and listening to the rain (loving it) - Having dh happy may also be part of it.
the three dogs goofed around until they started barking at each other crazily. I put them in separate areas for 2 minutes. Now they are back together again and sound asleep.
d mom and dd bought dinner for tonight - I don't have to cook! They are off to William Sonoma. My mom loves it even though she doesn't cook unless she helps me. She is happy.
washing machine/dryer are almost done.
I need to turn on the dw
more laundry folded and put away
I need to wash the dining room table
I forgot to take my meds -
I emptied boxes - and put away some things
I went through my Alsatian cookbook and have decided to make dishes that my mom loves.
I even have a bottle of dry resiling for one of the dishes.
dd younger said d mom was very confused this morning - she must have had a dream - (my dad's mom used to have these) Mom didn't recognized her bedroom furniture and said she dreamt she was in Chicago - she is. She was off all day. She started to get back to normal after eating and then coming here. she is watching walker Texas ranger again.
I got a very nice surprise - mom and dd younger bought me towels for the kitchen. really nice surprise
I used the left over mashed potatoes bc I was super hungry - I didn't eat lunch or any fruit.- added sautéed onions and garlic, parsley, an egg, flour to the mashed potatoes and cooked them in patties (butter and a bit of oil)

Re: Ta Da! Tuesday PWYC
Well I am frustrated as I have much to do in the lania and sweetie is still working on the fans. He still needs to lock up our according stone shutters, but he is working at a snails pace
The storm it’s self won’t be a direct hit unless it wobbles this way. Even so we will have winds at 50 mph with gusts up to 75mph. Should it wobble a tad more to the right the effects of the storm will be much worse.
I have taken all the cushions of the furniture and brought them inside. Moved most of my plants but can’t do any more till Sweetie finishes. I still need to move all the furniture closer to the outside protected part of the lania.
I used my spin mop to clean the tub in the bathroom and also cleaned the tub/shower walls with the mop. Ended up mopping my kitchen and my main hallway. Would have done more but sweetie keeps walking to and fro from his office and garage to the lania..
Hurray he just took the ladder down from the part of the lania I can work on!!!
See ya all later

I hope the direct path of the storm stays away from y'all, Rose! Good work on getting everything prepared!
And a BIG HOORAY for your dd finding your mom's keys, blessed! I know that is a big weight off everyone's shoulders.
You know, it is annoying to lose anything that you want/need... but certain things are just a lot more of a priority... Losing keys, phone, rx glasses, or a wallet... those are things that are just big worries till they are found.
So nice that they brought you supper, too!
I think ds and I are going to use one of our gift cards and eat in a local restaurant tonight. DDIL is working; I told her we'd bring her something.
And oh yes, I love listening to the rain. At least I used to!!! Now that it is literally dripping into buckets in my study... not so much.
Carpenter still feels optimistic. He is working on an addition to ds' music room right now. Promises to be back over here ASAP.
(((Kathryn))) Hugs for you and baby dgs... and DC... and all your family. You've just got a LOT going on right now.
CI here..
I'm going to
[x] go back to dbil's for ticket
[ ] put tickets online for sale
[x] vacuum master bedroom and bath
[ ] do Bible reading and study for lesson tomorrow night
[x] do GriefShare reading for tomorrow
Why didn't I put the tickets online, you ask? Well, that would be because DBIL GAVE ME THE WRONG TICKET.
He has seats 24, 23, 22. 24 is on the aisle. I have 21, 20, and 19.
I thought he gave me 23 by accident, but when I looked again, to tell him what happened, I realized he gave me 24 & 23. I told him he must have just taken the one he wanted to sell out and laid it aside, and then when he started out the door, he picked up the ones he needed to use.
So my next to do's will be...
[x] s2s and all the things that are supposed to be MORNING routine... shaking my head
[ ] eat supper with ds and dgrands
[ ] go BACK to dbil's
[ ] put tickets online for sale
[ ] Bible reading and study for tomorrow night's lesson
[ ] Finish laundry
[ ] Clean bathrooms
Oh -- I'm putting a couple of prayer requests in J&C.
