Repeating Lucylee: (((Kathryn)))
Hugs for you and baby dgs... and DC... and all your family. You've just got a LOT going on right now.
I had a great workout, even tho I wasn't feelin' it when I got there. News there that they are shutting down in perhaps six months. Not hiring a replacement for dtrainer who left. I like working out there so much. No mirrors, no clock, just one hour with a trainer focusing on what I need.

After workout, I dropped HOA bill off at post office, then the rest of bills in the neighborhood. I also took a photo of the new gazebo and picnic table at the playground. I'll post on neighborhood facebook and thank the couple that planned and mostly installed it. I debated about trying to get groceries this afternoon into evening, but dh took his "play" car to get it worked on today and I need to take him back to pick it up before he goes to bowling.

I think our grocery stores are going to be crazy in anticipation of the weather. So ordered online for delivery in the morning. That gives me time to remember what I've forgotten. Our rain is due to start overnight, and we have a flood watch beginning at 11 tomorrow.

ta das:
-workout
-got checks to where they needed to be
-ordered groceries
-walked the dog around the block and visited with a neighbor
-now over 10K steps

Dh is home now and the auto repair place closed earlier than he could get home.

Oh, and this laptop went to the blue screen of death again.

Helia, it's so good to see your posts and catch up with you. I'm glad you're here!

And Kathryn is reeling off the ta das. So pleased things are going okay with you and you're well too.

Don't sell yourself short, Lucylee, you're getting plenty done. WTG getting up when the alarm went off. I may or may not have hit the snooze button for nearly an hour and a half this a.m. I was still in bed when dh came home from his 7 a.m. workout.

I'm sniffly too, Nancy but mine is pretty chronic. I love how you're repurposing so many things.

bw2, see my comment to Lucylee about getting up this morning, that's where I need the zapper going. I'm glad your mother's keys were found and squared away. I'm glad things are going well with your dmom. You're quiet patient.

RR, hope the storm prep is going well. When does the rain and wind start for you?

Dh took off again and the house is quiet. Ahhhhh.

CI ~
Got that white out project done, I put my prayer list & 8 joys and dear God prayer on one side, on the other side top 3 and to do's , projects, weekly tasks, OMM stuff or what ever seems to be working well for me for now any way.
I did get the non prickly branches in the can yea. More can go in other weeks.
That helped I just did it no matter how I felt, then was better.

I cut back on carbs at lunch half of what I usually have and that helped bs can make me stiff and achey too.
I have other branches to put in a can if they fit might need cut up but it got warm out 87* so that can wait for shady.
I rested a bit.
I will be changing my meal plan to not use the oven.

I am getting tired but there is so much I want to do. :D ..thinking it's time to listen to my body.
time to throw another load in the washer

I ordered a new frame for my needlepoint - I figured the canvas won't stretch as much.

Maybe simplify my to do for this week.

The ddoggo & I are clean now.
I've had dinner.
Washed dog towels with a load.
Folded & put away sheets.
Repressed seams for hemming later.

Last round of ta-das before bed.

* dropped off dgs just a little late. He wanted to be silly in bed for a long while before getting up and that ate into the time we should have spent leaving on-time.

* ran errands after drop off. That's the ta-da but nothing really came of it, I went through the motions but: the craft set dgs7.9999999 wants for his birthday next week is no longer available in Canada and my drug company claims my ADD meds aren't covered anymore. So I have to make a dreaded phone call over that. The pharmacy is pretty incompetent so we made sure it wasn't their error and they printed off the rejection so I'll have it in hand when I talk with the company. Oh, and my body is having trouble walking so I deposited the bonus into the 'wrong' bank and will slowly transfer the money over. That bank had parking by the door, as opposed to me having to park and go walking through a mall to the 'right' bank.

* ate a slice of meatloaf for dinner (and froze the rest along with the quiche.)

* answered a ton of emails. And texts.

* paid the bills

* erased all of dgs' "footprints" so all the toys and stroller are away again and his bed is made.

* I've packed all the non-cooler food for the cottage and have it plus the laundry I brought home with me ready to be loaded into the car in a minute.

I'm starting to feel slightly back in control although it is late. I have an 8 a.m. appointment tomorrow.

And before I can go to bed I have to take a load down to the car and bring up a load of chairs since Chair Exercise class has to be somewhere else tomorrow and I need leave chairs where it will be. I can't put them there until the morning once I confirm I can leave chairs there.

I also don't know what time my zoom meeting is tomorrow. That affects what time I leave. I can't possibly leave before 9 so I'm hoping it is after 2 p.m. so I don't have to rush too much to get out of here and up to the cottage. Or that it is in the morning so I can go up after. I'm tempted to stay for chair exercise which is over at 3:30 so if the zoom meeting is in the morning I will.

So sorry to hear about aches and pains in the village - cyber Get Well Cards to each one hurting! ✉ ✉ ✉ ✉

Since a deluge just hammered my house  , I assume it is old news for Ramblin' by now and so sending calming-weather wishes for the latter part of the week her way.

Strangely, dd44 came and mowed our lawn earlier today before rain. That is a long story. She and HRH are in a battle to see which one can do more for the other right now but ds and I are not getting caught up in it. He texted me, "do you need anything?" and I texted back, "it's all good" with 8-) . He texted "lol" and we were fine.

I'm still napping each midafternoon as if I've run a marathon through each morning. (?)

Today one of the precious anti-b pills fell as I worked to get it out of the tough blister pack. Ugh. I was at my desk. What a difficulty to find the thing. Finally did, but then absentmindedly decided I needed to vacuum the room, so I did. Dumb, dumb, dumb. I had forgotten I'd promised myself not to vacuum right now while trying to recover from coughing. Started coughing. Sigh. Oh well, didn't seem too bad.

A TaDa that does actually make sense is that I put the two new outlet strips into use in sewing room and kitchen and took the kitchen one to bathroom where it looks pretty good if I do say so myself. Fussed over the room a little. Sweet little hand towel with autumn forest animals makes me smile.

Laundry put-away happened. HRH did the dishes after making his famous spaghetti. I had a tiny plate of that, but he understood. Had seconds much later.

CI:
[x] s2s and all the things that are supposed to be MORNING routine... shaking my head
[x] eat supper with ds and dgrands
[x] go BACK to dbil's
[x] put tickets online for sale
[x] also notified family that tickets were available
(even though I am embarrassed by the price. These tickets are $160 EACH. As dbil said, we've already got that much + more in them, and we should try to get as much as we can... but this is ridiculous. LADYM -- we are playing Oklahoma and personally, no one in my family expects to get a win out of this. It may be another painful season for us Auburn Tigers. Some people on Seat Geek are asking over $200 so I don't feel too bad putting then on there for face value, but I kinda feel bad to even charge my family that much. And to quote my favorite movie; "Askin' ain't gettin.'" OTOH -- one of these tickets belongs to dbil. I may lower the price if they do not sell by Thursday morning.)

STILL TO DO --
[x] Bible reading and study for tomorrow night's lesson
[x] Finish laundry
[ ] Clean bathrooms

After we ate, ds came in and put the pans under the dormer leaks. Carpenter thinks these will help. They are the kind of pans that are used when AC units are installed in attics, useful to catch condensation and prevent it from leaking into ceilings. Carpenter thinks that the leak is now slow enough that this will solve the problem -- any drips will evaporate before causing problems. (Even though I collected an impressive amount of water in one of the buckets during the last hurricane that came through, and I am NOT convinced.) But what you gonna do? At least carpenter friend is not going to over-charge me.

blessed, I hope the new frame works out well for your needlepointing. I remember some of the folks in my maternal family did needlepoint but I didn't know much about it. Very pretty. When you get to a stopping place, do tell about it in A, C and N thread.

blessed, about two meals a day for your dh. If breakfast and lunch are substantial, it would be a reasonable choice. A problem possibly, if it means he missed quality time with the family, though. Eating like a king at breakfast, prince at lunch and pauper at supper is considered kind of smart by some, because digestion is mostly not going to be taking place through the sleeping hours, causing disruption. My ddad consciously went to 2 meals a day when he stopped being so active, saying that was an old-time wisdom. Who knows.

lucylee, I don't think ac pans would be much help at our house but sure do hope it works for you. Fingers crossed! Our concern is also above the ceiling. Around chimney. Honestly, I don't know if we are ever going to get anyone to understand or take enough time to determine our problem. We've had lots who just announced a potential problem, fixed that (whether it was wrong or not), and left.
