So relieved to see this CI. I suspect there are a bazillion moments & emotions that must be dealt with on the fly as you are part of the Milton experience. Praying for continual safety physically and mental/emotional strength and calm.

It is a normal day here with the addition of elderberry lunch. DH stomach is upset this morning so we might not attend the luncheon. I have started preparing food to take if we do decide to attend this Mexican theme luncheon. If not, then we can have the tamales, refried beans, and spanish rice to eat here.

Today is a slower morning for me. I have a Zoom at 12:30 that will last until 1 p.m., and then will regroup slightly and head to my 2 p.m. workout.

I've walked ddog, had breakfast and made an Instacart order. Finished a.m. routine, cleaned stovetop, got the garbage can out, and got it back in. Straightened MBR and bath. Finished watering plants and got the mail in.

Catching my breath.

Hoping dRose is settling in, as much as is possible.

I have been enjoying the book "Revolutionary Mothers: Women in the Struggle for America's Independence"

Much of the history of women, during this time, were erased or forgotten from history after the war. Much, writings by Homefront women or hero's from that time and stories have been found and shared.

they were there to protect their families with their husbands gone - (they were their husbands partners) their land and their country - each having their own roles. Not all women were appreciated by their husbands coming back - One felt that his wife had lost her faculties bc she had learned to read.

I think because I come from strong women (my grandmother, her sisters, their mother were amazing protectors of their homes and children while their men were gone,

The book has been fascinating.

Blessed - Thank you for the book review. It sounds like a good one.

Mexican dishes have been cooked and they turned out better than I hoped. DH doesn't feel like attending the luncheon so the food will feed the family.

Next up -
** Bible reading
** Micro food
** Make bed
