Conga Friday

Post by Nancy »

Up early around 2 - 3 to see about N. lites maybe but so many in the neighborhood have porch lites or security ones in back yard,
or deck lites on it was a challenge and I have a tree. Decided not to walk to the corner. Just happy to not have clouds and get to see
the stars and maybe a comment or mentor shower. aka star gazing is fun!

I did qt and have soup going now.
Next will be prep. for pizza maybe later on for that.
Vacuumed the rec. room yea! Been putting that off too long.
Started one load of laundry.

For mojo. I"m cleaning like I have a meeting in the basement gotta luv that idea.
[Not really having a meeting but it's great prep. before my own personal sewing retreat!
Time TBA!}
Vacuumed the other two rooms down stairs yea!
Emptied the trash. wa-hoot!

Congaing today!
I'll need a nap later today I'm pretty sure.

I was up early this morning. As soon as dh woke up, I made his coffee and then vacuumed all the floors. At 8:30 I was out the door to get to Costco for 9. Got there when it opened and got a pumpkin pie. There was a conga line from the doors to the pies, with everyone getting at least 1. No wonder they sell out every Thanksgiving and Christmas. I think I will be freezing half of it. I also picked up a chicken, so supper is done!

d Lucy so happy your saw the Northern lights!!! I saw them once and it was amazing!

d harriet - I agree - someone is feeding the foxes and alike. - being curious animals about people is one thing (foxes get used to their environment and get used to seeing people), Same with the coyotes here - they come right through our yards but they are watching us with a healthy fear except in one area of the forest preserve where someone is feeding them waffles - not good for the coyotes (if the coyotes become a problem they have to kill them and it's not their fault)

good morning!

dear twins thank you for the nice start - a carte blanche kind of day!

d Nancy good morning I am so happy you got to see the stars! so fun!
it truly makes you be even more amazed about life!
I love that idea about the basement

HI d Cathy you were busy this morning! rah rah rah great job.
can you freeze those pies?

to everyone have a wonderful day!

d rose are you able to go back home yet?
our family from St. Petersburg are not allowed back yet.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

If I could choose carte blanche, could I order 5 people to come to my house and work and a crew of 10 to help me with the yard?
(for free ???? ;) 8-) ???? :D

grateful: dh is easy to be around - after the last time it took awhile but, knock on wood, no eggshells and his brain is good- I am just happy he is happy in the moment. He has an appointment on the 16th which may change his outlook but I am taking what I can at the moment :D

alrighty - I have to go to mom's for breakfast and meds. or I will see if I can get her here. dd younger took her home last night around 9:30 pm bc I was exhausted bc of my cold. I found out that mom and I had our eyes closed sitting on the couch together. oh my gosh. - am I getting old

LadyM, cut and pasted from the wildlife rescue that I follow, For Fox Sake:
In nearly all cases, a raccoon that has gotten too familiar with a human home— hanging out on the deck or moving into the attic, for example— will leave after after the home owners use humane harassment techniques to scare them away.

You can try loud music, bright or flashing lights, stomping or clapping, strong odors such as ammonia or peppermint oil, or bitter-tasting repellents like Bittrex. You should also bring all pet food inside and install a lock on your trash can. It may take the raccoon a few days, particularly if it is a mother with babies, but it will almost definitely leave.

Relocating a raccoon is bad news. Relocated raccoons find themselves in unfamiliar territories already occupied by others— often bigger, more aggressive rivals. A nursing mom unknowingly moved without her babies will leave behind a litter of starving kits. Relocation of raccoons can also spread diseases like distemper and rabies, which is why moving them is illegal in Tennessee. And it doesn’t work, either: as long as your home looks hospitable to raccoons, another will simply move in to take the place of its relocated cousin.

Please don’t harm animals unnecessarily. Give them a chance to leave on their own. ❤️

Dcleaning lady has been here and done her magic. I've been upstairs while she worked. Dh took today off (he's been taking off Fridays), he went out but I don't know where. I need to go out also - a return at the UPS store, pick up an item at CVS, and I need egg noodles for the kugel tomorrow.

Tonight we need to be at temple at 6:45 for the "Past presidents photo." That's 45 min before services and someone is always late anyway. And we'll be on the bima (pulpit) tonight with other past presidents.

Cathy, glad you got your pie for the holiday! You've been busy. We miss you when you're not around!

Made a nice brunch for d mom and I had it as well.
mom helped a bit - she also washed a few utensils and cleaned out our garbage can in the powder room. She got sidetracked but it was so cute.

I feel a little guilty bc I turned the tv on for her.
My goal is to go through the car and get it washed
I would love to get a nap -

but first water in front
it is always a joy to be here with you!
