Re: Sunday PWYC
Good morning, Twins! Thanks for opening the village.
Good morning, blessed!
I'm in a quiet mood today. Things are caught up (enough) around here that I want to indulge in some crafting and/or sewing with my new fabric. It's nice & cool today so I'll be spending time up in the attic where those supplies are kept. Dcat will enjoy being up there, too. She almost always follows me up there & sits on the table when she is done exploring. There are several windows up there so it is a sunny & cheerful place to be. I also have a few projects that need doing, but probably not today. Last Christmas I put aside several decorations to go through for possible donation. Never got around to that, so want to get to it soon. There's a closet that needs to have everything pulled out of it -- it's stuffed full. Mentioned it to dh & he offered to help me so maybe we can get to that this week.
Dinner will be leftover Chinese food for dh & I have no idea what I'll want then. May fall back on a favorite, breakfast for dinner. Eggs, toast & bacon.
~~~ Waving to everyone. Hope you all have a wonderful day!
Re: Sunday PWYC
Just checking in...
Dh and I moved a light bench and a glass top table into storage for the winter. I also moved the rocking chair into the shed. The heavier bench can stay where it is, which is in a more protected area under the parapet on the patio.
I have moved my winter clothes and summer clothes. The summer goes to the right side of the rail and the winter stuff is now at the left side which is easier to reach. I also hung my summer bathrobe and white cotton nighties up. Heavier bathrobe is now on the clothes tree along with dark coloured/flannel nighties.
IF tomorrow is less windy I will be putting up the Christmas lights outside. I might look for fairy lights to put up in the bedroom/bathroom and pantry windows on the inside and just leave them up all year. We will get the same effect without any work once they are up. (hopefully)
Dh wants to go to Walmart.
Re: Sunday PWYC
Good Morning!
Cathy is on my mind today. Well, most everyday but especially today. I hope all is going okay in her little corner of the world.
I had a nice and boring start to my day. #MyFavorite! As soon as I rolled out of bed, I showered and did personal care. Then enjoyed quiet time while sipping on a cup of coffee. I was out the door before sunrise to get the morning mile accomplished. It was enjoyable being so quiet and beautiful with the sky showing off its morning colors.
DH and I went to early worship service. This service only has about 90 people which we know everyone by name. It is almost impossible to talk to everyone because of limited time, but I'm guessing we greeted & talked to over half. It feels very welcoming and comforting to be there with church family.
Cooking in the kitchen today -
** Smoked sausages
** Chicken nuggets
** Vegetable medley
Ready & available to eat =
** Tuna Salad
** Hard Boiled eggs
** Mashed potatoes
** Sweet potatoes
** Chili
** Apples & raisins
I usually keep 3 kinds of yogurt available. Everyone has their favorite brand, flavor, etc. We are out of lemon yogurt so I am trying to decide if that is high enough priority to make a trip to the grocery store today.
DD48 invited DD13 to go see a movie with her today. DD48 just text to cancel. I feel sad for DD13. I can't wrap DD13 in bubble wrap to prevent the hurt. I wish there was something that could help. I offered to take DD13 and a friend to see The Wild Robot movie this afternoon. I am waiting for an decision from her.
Re: Sunday PWYC
Well I spent most of yesterday setting up our community haunted house. Then later walked up to the community parking lot to join my friend with Trunk or Treat. For the past two years I participated in the fun, but last years heat kept me from doing it again. Plus the kids just kept circling through 3 or 4 times and it wasn’t fun for me.
I spent this morning tearing down the haunted house. Lots of work again with lots of friends.
Came home and worked outside under my tree out front. I cut down all my bushes due to damage from the hurricanes and they needed some tender loving care. Looks like most of them are making a come back. I watered and fertilizer them with miracle grow.
My house is in good shape and I need to gather up my Halloween cards to send to all my nieces and nephews including my grand kids. Not sure what I will do for the rest of my day.
I walked up and back to the Halloween event last night so by the time I went to bed I had over 11k steps. The weather is much cooler now at night and I look forwards to my walk. Usually I listen to my music when I walk up to the end of the walkway and then turn it off on my ways home. I love listening to the sounds and smells of the night
Re: Sunday PWYC
wow the hours can fly by.
Hello hello
mom is more chipper - she seemed depressed this morning, when she first came here. she said that does not like to live alone -(she isn't alone from 10 am to 9/10 pm. I gently offered that we could have someone for night. She said I have no problem living alone. Then she said why would you make such a big deal about it, which I wasn't.
She said that sometimes she just wants time alone and sometimes not alone.
mom's mood changed for the better once she got that out of her system.
I always wonder what I will be like.
hi d rose - setting up the local community haunted house especially in heat sounds hard - I have to admit I am a Charlie Brown or Mickey Mouse halloween person though. it sounds like you had fun with friends on this adventure for kids!!
