Fall Back Saturday Night: PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

Tonight we set our clocks an hour back and get that hour of sleep we lost last spring! Be ready for that little jolt that accompanies the inner clock manipulations!

Start getting some extra sunlight today and be prepared for early darkness tomorrow evening. Many struggle with seasonal depression as the time changes in the fall.

Missing Harmony, thank you for the reminder yesterday, Lucylee.

I left one clock in the basement on standard time on purpose.
So one done1 LOL
bfast is underway now.
The best thing for me about being a widow is ME TIME!
To write
sew
create
crochet
knit
weave
what ever I want to do.
We all need that.

One gift ordered / told my sis it was on the way and to put it under the tree as it is not wrapped & I forgot to mark it was a gift
on the order , but gives her something to look forward too. She puts up her tree early.
I made a fun ticket and put it in my planner to remind myself that I need to focus more on that.

Learning new things is important too ~ I listened to pod casts and live streams while I sorted & purged a box of papers yesterday.
Got some writing done yea!

Walked the rest of our walk.

d Nancy - good morning - yay on setting the clock...

working on getting back on track - working on consistency.

I have to admit I enjoyed having the day to myself yesterday - dd and her dog is in Ohio and mom had cousin yesterday and the day before she had my brother in the morning. (it was too quiet yesterday but it feels really nice this morning - I feel like I had a week's vacation).

Pulled daily cards
dd older will get mom.

I hope you have a wonderful day everyone

Keeping on track: Christmas planning - my family is already balking at the idea that I like to have the holiday gifts done by Dec. 1rst.
I had a list for fall fun and I did most of it. fall was fun. Now I am planning the Christmas activities. Nothing much but still fun.

We've had so many overcast and cloudy days here with finally some rain yesterday. Today we're mostly sunny again and going to the river with dfriends. So I'll be getting some sunshine and getting my head out of the genealogy records.

I'm thinking now on the organization of what I'm trying to write to prove out this guy's children. They mostly lived close together, and it feels like every record is tied up with the others, so it feels very repetitious. When William Sr., Nathan, Nathaniel, Jonathan and David are all on one record together, I talk about it four different times under a heading for each child.

Uh no. Trouble here. The lox that dh bought to go with bagels is GONE. And I was treating myself this morning.

Trying to appreciate the new tablet. I like the faster access to magazines dd44 added. And, frankly, the quick decisions you can make to say "nope" and move on immediately to try another magazine. That's almost decadent when we think of magazines in the past, when you agonized over subscriptions, waited, wished you'd made a different decision, then worried about whether to arrange on the coffee table or not, or how long you should keep them. On the other hand, hard to retrieve that item you would have literally just cut out in the past, held in your own hands, and saved in a file or something. Archive is not really a thing.

I have found one current issue that I will actually consider purchasing, perhaps on ebay (or in-person bookstore if I get around to it soon).

Btw, HRH and she were both here when this tablet finished charging. HRH always sets up his own tech, but was happy to have her, since they were building computers together when she wasn't even in college yet. But dd had a terrible time with it. In dd's work, she is a computer Engineer among other things - when needed, she rescues whole departments from their tech problems. But this thing was so glitchy she had to "bring it back from the dead" twice (her words), keeping it overnight at her house and babying it through progress bars. Perhaps it is a lemon, but other households would not have had this kind of help, so if a lot are returned, I can see why.

(Initial problem was colorless grayed areas, therefore invisible on the screen, that were supposed to be obvious buttons to hit to continue set up.)

blessed, how meaningful to have a recording of your mother's memories of Alsace. I'm shopping Jo Ann's vicariously though you today.
