Ta da! It's Tuesday!

Post by Twins' Mom »

Focus on the great things you've made happen today!

Let's hear 'em, forget that silly to do list!

I'm up, and prompted dh to take out the garbage in the rain! That's my first. I also advised on how long to "cook" the sipping chicken broth, and on my interpretation of the colonoscopy prep instructions. It's going to be a long day of prep for him but I'm DONE.

Oooh, I hope he will walk dMillie!

Twins thank you for the great start today.
Speaking of silly.

Funny story:
I have gotten my trash out to the curb as well, I remembered I had taken bags out to put leaves in and the
bags needed to go back in the can so critters or wind did not mess with it so last nite I got out of bed and
put those back in it. Glad I remembered that!

I am up and enjoying my journaling I have some coloring I did with water color brush pens in it
that are pre printed with the guided journals.

I slept well and had good and interesting dreams!
Half of a donut was a better choice for me this morning.

We have a bomb cyclone in our forecast the next 48 hours so I am watching what happens and
hoping this is not as bad as I'm inland & not on the coast.
I found a shawl I knitted last year and some dish cloths and one hot pad I can use for sets if needed
next month that was a happy surprise as I'd forgotten they were in there. So tip of the day is check your
gift closet, dresser or where ever you keep those items!

I have a 12:30 Zoom today, and am watching or listening to a 2 p.m. webinar. Gives me a good reason to be upstairs too. I'll need to go to the grocery for more chicken broth for the man, too. The soup last weekend took more broth than I had anticipated.

I'm getting on with the day, will be more ta das to report, I promise!

heading to mom for her meds and making sure she eats breakfast - yesterday she seemed fragile and a bit out of it. Can't wait to see how the nurse does with her the day of Thanksgiving. No matter what she will have to get used to - I feel for her bc it has to be hard to feel she can do things on her own but others can see that she may need help.

wishing you all a good day.

I have soup to make before the ingredients go bad.
I have banana bread to make
Christmas lights.

bw2, we tried someone like that (not a nurse) with mother at one point and she wouldn't ask for anything, then complained that all the individual did was to sit. Be sure your nurse engages with her and perhaps you can suggest some things that she could do too.

More ta das: Walked ddog in rain and went to grocery (the close one) for more chicken broth and garbage bags. Dh must have been taking garbage out because we smack ran out - I had no idea. Luckily, I had some upstairs. I got extras to go back upstairs too.

Next I need to either eat brunch or engage with the Roomba, which never finished yesterday. It stopped because there's some issue with the base unit. So I need to get it up on the kitchen counter where I can see it, and figure this out. Perhaps I'll deal with food first. Oh, and I need to set an alarm so I don't forget the Zoom at 12:30.

"Did I bring in the garbage can?" Yes dear. "did you bring it all the way in or leave it by the garage?" I brought it all the way in, dear. That's why I came in through the garage door.

Thank you dear Twins, My mom will be the same with a helper. My mom is spotless - a true BO! :D it's just that her dementia gets in her way once in awhile. She has a nurse, in Florida, come 3 times a week to set up her meds that dd gives her. Mom finally got used to the nurse and they love their time together now. The nurse stays for an hour and they have a good chat.

Mom was out of it yesterday and frail! - today she could be awesome. The nurse, I have coming, will only be there 15 + minutes am and pm for her meds. I will order food for her during the day!

dd younger is bringing her work with her to stay with d mom, for a few hours, and give her her morning meds. She will bring her back here. When mom is on her own then the dementia is worse and her physical fitness can easily go down hill.

yay on walking your dog and getting groceries.
hope you can figure out the roomba
lol

Good morning!

I do not have too many ta-das to report yet. I did finish off my paperwork for the bariatric people and got that emailed in advance of the intake appointments that start tomorrow. I got the kids to deliver the last beach club flyers of the year.

And now I am sitting in the waiting room of the urgent care. DD had the crud the week before last, and a thick cough has persisted. She’s worried she may have walking pneumonia; she had pneumonia in high school and says some of this reminds her of that. She doesn’t currently have a primary care; the doctor she had went out on maternity leave and never came back. She’s trying to get in with the nearby doctor that DH and DC see, but their earliest new patient appointment is March!

I don’t know exactly what a bomb cyclone is, Nancy, wbut it sounds scary! I hope it dissipates before it gets to you.

I am now going to fart around on my phone because I can’t think of anything else productive to do while I sit here and wait.
