I am out of my routine. This is not a good change.

DS16 woke me up at 11:45pm last night to ask if he could go help a 16 year old friend and her 2 adult companions. A wheel came off their vehicle on the country road when they were a mile from their home. I declined DS16 request to go. I know these 3 have dozens of family members and a lifetime of friends around here so I knew there is no need for our 16-year-old to go in the middle of the night. Worst case scenario is the 3 could walk the mile home. ANYway, something sounded off to me about the whole situation so I wouldn't let DS16 go. Normally when the teens wake me during the night I return to sleep without a problem. However last night I remained awake for 4 hours.

I checked DD13 temp before I went to bed and she was running low grade fever. I checked her temperature again this morning and it was 99.6
I gave her the option of staying home or going to school. It is not a suprise what she chooses. I have continued to monitor her temp and symptoms all morning.

I have turkey #2 cooking in roasting oven. It should be deboned and packed to take to meal with church family tonight in plenty of time.

Three biopsies later..two on my face and one on my leg… and I am home. I really liked this dr. She was very thorough and explained in detail what she was doing. Course she had to give me a bunch of injections to do all those procedures and I must admit I hollered a bit when she gave me those shots, especially on my leg.

Told me I was very brave, but laughed when I told her I knew what to expect before I even arrived in the room. Asked her if we could just go ahead and schedule my surgeries since we both knew what to expect, but she told me the offices has to wait till after the lab gives them the reports which will take at least two week. It’s gonna be a ho ho ho merry Christmas this year. She agreed with me that the spot on my leg was pretty serious, and commended me for coming in so soon. Told her I e had enough things removed from me that I knew what to look for. However this “spot” came up fast and really hurt. Knew from one I had kike this in the past that I was pretty sure this was something I needed to take care of.

in the process of doing the next right thing.
kitchen floor swept and washed well. I was going to hand wash it but the cleaning angels are coming tomorrow
now to empty the dw
wash any dishes from making dinner tonight.
dd just brought mom here - she is eating.
where is the time going?!!!!

next right thing: sit with mom a minute as she eats - should have doubled the soup as I am down to one cup
she is still frail- more then normal.
then empty dw
clean sink and counters again

Ty b w 2 .
I have raked most of the front yard. The can is mostly full had to leave room for the sacks of house trash too.
bs started to dip had to come in and take a break rain is coming I think,
Took care of that ddoggo played in the back yard while I did that in the front.
So it worked out well.

Earlier after lunch.
I did some crochet work and listened to the gal that was implementing the plan I wanted to use in my planner
so that was great! I have heard two recommendations on a diff. book but it's on the same info. I heard a diff. guy use.
Not really new info. but glad for that work being done now yea!

I did NOT go to Walmart today. I did water some plants. I have a busy day tomorrow because it's compost/garbage/recycling collection day.

I packaged the 2 turkeys ready to serve and sent them with DH to the Thanksgiving meal. DS16 took a friend with him to the church meal. I stayed home with DD13. I have almost no energy or desire to do anything other than what I must do.

Tomorrow is the last day of school before we start a much needed 10-day Thanksgiving break.

good for you for not going to Walmart! you have been very busy d cathy!

d lady hope you have a lovely sleep tonight

wishing everyone a good rest

------I would love to have spent time with mom instead of having her watch a show. Dinner was so so . chicken was cooked too long. I had forgotten about it - 10 to 15 minutes too long. it was okay though not the best dinner I have ever made. I was supposed to make this with my local relative but it didn't work out (for a good reason). Kitchen floor is clean, sink is clean, stove is clean and the last of the dishes are washing themselves.

I gave mom some coffee chip ice cream and whipped cream - I don't eat it and no one else does but she truly enjoys an after dinner dessert.

We had tacos for supper. I had 2, small. Cut up what may be the last palatable tomato of this year - iffy, lol.

Had a nice long phone call with dd26 and then dsonil got on the phone, too. They are funny and cheered me quite a bit. It is a relief to me that she found someone really bright, yet so unassuming and modest about it. He goes into a conversation with the idea that the other person is genuinely worth listening to and knows things he does not.

HRH is on the phone with his friend S, who is on hospice at home. They talk every night and sometimes during the day.
