RR, I see now that you're leaving Sunday. Two pairs of jeans, five sweaters.I'm thinking two jeans or leggings (mine are wool so they're warm, and have pockets!) I'll need clothes for Friday and Wednesday (travel days, although we can have a full day there both days, but perhaps I'll need to nap?) and four days in between. Now I can think about the trip.

Before then, we have Z (our other son), his wife and (eeekkk how exciting)! baby! coming for dinner on Monday night. Suggested they come here instead of trying to go out so we can meet G emma and they don't have to juggle in a restaurant. Probably steak, baked sweet potato and a green veggie or fruit. And of course, Thanksgiving with dcousins on Thursday.

We go to Laguardia, RR. Believe it or not there's a direct flight from podunk here to there now, but we couldn't get on it on Friday. We do have a direct flight home on Wednesday, late, tho.

Very efficient travel planning, Ramblin'!

I put my adventure with shortening a pair of knit pants into the A, C and N thread. I do not have a serger, so this was an experiment in top-stitching on existing lines of stitching already holding the fabric, avoiding puckering. The new hem really looks neat and I'm happy, but I do know that there's not much sideways pressure on hems of pants like there might be on other hems - like sleeves or hem of a top. Still, helpful to me to know I can do this neatly, to broaden the wardrobe without having to go find an alterations place or anything.

Went out with dd44 and dstepson this evening after they had put in our new temp-regulated heat bulb into the well house. We got sandwiches for the boys.
