Blessed…way to go. Sounds like you have a plan.

I am packed with the exception of last minute things I need to use in the morning.

Next up:
Finish up laundry
Load books on my kindle
Call CC people to let them know I’m going out of town

Breath :D:

Moms phone is off and she is walking around her apartment bery confused - i think her sleeping late and the pull alarm sent her into a confused day. I am going over to get her.

Lady delivering groceries is here - i was on the phone w dd younger- and dh was going to open the door w all three dogs barking at door with his frail body - i heard dd younger yell out to dh - Don’t open the door - im not trying to be rude! Don’t open the door!Oh my goodness- u have to laugh at the ridiculousness that is happening!

My dogs pushed my wallet off the counter into their water bowl - its water logged -oh my gosh! Nice thing is i have dds to laugh with

I had a productive outing. Instead of going to bakery in other direction I went to WF, which is next to the speciality baby/children's clothes shop. Bought a baby sweater, onesie, and cute hat to match. Beige and pink, not too girly. They have beautiful smocked gowns and little dresses - mostly seasonal, and because Z is Jewish didn't want to go that route. And I love going into WF but their parking lot is challenging for a Honda Pilot on a quiet day. Enjoyed the walk through, bought myself some peppermint Mrs. Meyers hand soap, walnuts for their decorative qualities, and a raspberry almond pastry. And the point of the trip to WF - 7 of their tiny little tarts or cannolis for a pretty dessert tray. Only a little more expensive than the cake bites but so pretty! And I'll have fruit for dessert also since the sweets are small.

Instacart just delivered - stopped writing long enough to put away perishables. Purchased Dr. Pepper and Cheez-its for dog sitter, too! The freezer bag for the steak that was thawing was not secure, so that's cleaned up.

And more....I'm doing a COVID test. I have a bit of a runny nose and sore throat. I think I'm fine but want to be sure.

COVID test negative.

I'm setting timer at the TOTH to work 45 min. Anyone going along? I need to:
-finish kitchen clean up, finish putting away groceries
-purge the refrigerator
-set the table (ds has decided to come, said earlier he had a cold)
-cut up fruit for a fruit salad
-cut up butternut squash for roasting.

Menu is
Cheese/crackers/drinks
Steak (dh will grill)
Roasted butternut squash
Green salad with apples, feta, walnuts
tiny tarts from WH
fresh berries with whipped cream

And, believe it or not, the Roomba did the whole downstairs without me having to intervene! It returned to the base unit to recharge, but then completed the job. Maybe it heeded my under-the-breath muttering.

Well I did some stuff after the grief yt I listened to.
Got two cans of leaves filled up this morning that were dry enough to do.
Got the landing zone area by the kitchen dealt with at least two be some what tolerable now.
Loaded some warm stuff that's too small for me in the truck to donate.
Got some things out to the shed as well.
Took a brisk walk with ddoggo and fetched the mail.
I have left over soup for lunch maybe dinner & rolls does sound delicious.
-----
After Lunch CI
Got more leaves moved used the cans bags and I got too small ones, switched to totes and
put em in my folding wagon big as two regular wagons, got three pieces of leaves moved to back
flower beds for mulching. Fresh air is great and met my exercise goals for the day by noon!
I still have a rather big pile to move but I had to warm up so maybe later today or tomorrow. - Time will tell.

I am home again - mom was eating lunch when I got there - she was no longer confused looking or acting (amazing how food and water makes a difference) but she has dementia - no doubt!

Her phone was off the hook and I fixed it, she lost her cell phone - I have no idea where it is - the bottom sheet to her bed is gone - no idea, her extra sheets - no idea. Next week I will take her shopping for new sheets. Mom said she wanted to have time to herself and she does great on her own. ;)

I can't wait to see how she is with the nurse. No matter what she needs someone in the morning to eat breakfast.

my d brothers wife is going to drive in to have lunch with d mom on Wednesday - very nice!!! I am happy for both of them and very grateful for the time to work on thanksgiving!

I sat in my driveway for awhile before coming in. it was a very good thing!!!
I wasn't upset this morning but laughed at the craziness that was happening! d twins -it was chaos - 8-)

d twins how cute is that outfit! I am glad you had a lovely walk there and got yourself some lovely hand soap and a pastry. sounds wonderful. the sweets sound delicious!

YAY ON A NEGATIVE COVID TEST!!!

hi d rose. The Good Golly made me smile! sit back and relax - sounds wonderful!!!

coming through again too - I think I am done with setting up my pantry for winter. I have to go through the freezer and double check it.
it looks like my kitchen exploded. I haven't cooked - how is it possible. 8-)

dh made a comment about the groceries - ferrumph - if I didn't get the groceries then I wouldn't be ready for thanksgiving and then he wouldn't have anything to walk into his family's house. He is proud that he has food - he doesn't make it, but enjoys being the one who gets the - Oh.. you brought the .... 8-) he always answers - yes I did! 8-)

okay time to go down to the freezer and do a put away.
