LOL on dh, blessed. It does look like a lot when one brings home groceries.
Nancy, you've been productive both inside and out! We don't have many leaves here, small immature trees. WTG on getting the exercise in so efficiently.
-finish kitchen clean up, finish putting away groceries
-purge the refrigerator
-set the table (ds has decided to come, said earlier he had a cold)
-cut up fruit for a fruit salad
-cut up butternut squash for roasting.
-s2s
-walk dog, time is coming. She's getting cranky with me.

Re: One month 'til Christmas Monday: PWYC
Home from a successful trip to Sam's. I have all the ingredients needed for Thanksgiving meal now.
The parking lot and store were packed. I drove around the parking lot twice looking for a space to park. I was dreading the shopping experience so was surprised to find myself enjoying it. There was a feeling of happy holidays with everyone we interacted with being kind and courteous. No less than a half dozen strangers talked to us expressing their feeling of enjoying the bustling holiday experience.
I am trying a new-to-me food item. Godshall's Uncured turkey bacon. I like the simple ingredients, and it is an employee-owned business. However, since there are no preservatives, I need to be aware of not treating it like "normal" sliced meat products.
I am considering making my traditional dressing for Thanksgiving because I am clueless how we will like the dressing being made by DFriend. (Cajun turkey stuffed with chicken and sausage Creole gumbo) IMHO, it sounds horrible. There I said it. HOWEVER, I don't believe I have eaten anything DFriend has made over the years that wasn't wonderful. I want to trust that his dressing will be better than it sounds. Besides we already have too much food on the menu so making another dressing seems unnecessary. I am still working on talking myself out of making traditional dressing.

Ty for the kudos !
I have picked up all the leaf piles I had raked up & moved them.
Not done there are more to rake and more coming down.
But that's enough for today.
I feel great and the exercise is really good for me too.
It looks better as well.
Got the living room vacuumed.
Did a pupa in the Liv. room too.
-----
Finished a n flex series I was watching.
Got the back of the house vacuumed.
Swept leaves off the deck.
Trash is ready to go out to the curb.

hellooo
yay on leaves d Nancy! so happy you feel good! yay on vacuum and pupa!
yay on sam's trip
I can imagine the store being packed!
I am so happy to hear that people are in a holiday mood! kind and courteous-heart warming
you will have to tell s how the bacon was.
the stuffing sounds like Louisiana! .
d twins hope you are having fun with company!
I ordered mom dinner but she is not answering. I assume she took her phone off the hook - she is sound asleep in her chair I called 3 times - then dd twice - 5:45 she finally woke up.
thank goodness - now the cameras are off line but at least we spoke to her. I was going to bring her here for dinner but she wanted to stay home.
dh doesn't sound great- he just used his suction machine - its uncomfortable to hear him right now - praying he is fine. I need to wait a bit before I check in on him - trying not to be obvious.
I had to call mom and see if she took her meds - I know her alarm went off at 8pm. .oh my gosh too funny. I know she gets annoyed with me. She answered her phone in her bedroom - I asked if she had taken her meds and she said yes - I had her go into the kitchen and look at the machine - she hadn't taken her meds but had them now in her hand - I told her to take them - she put the phone down and took her meds -she picked up the phone in the kitchen again and told me she took them. I had to have her put the kitchen phone on the side and go to her bedroom to hang up her phone and come back to the kitchen. She hung it up the bedroom phone and came back to the kitchen - I had to ask her if she hung it up - yes a little humorously annoyed - I said good night and that she could hang up the kitchen phone - finished!!! normally she forgets to hang up one or the other and we can't get through to her. well it's done.
good night all
dishes are washing themselves
sink is clean
I have to do a put away
all three dogs are asleep on the couch -
