So far the site looks the same to me. No trouble logging in (although we will see it this posts). Once I was able to get to the main Board Index page, I copied & pasted the address to an email & saved it in case it might be helpful in future.
I'm not really solving anything today, I don't think. Well, maybe dinner planning for tonight. Almost forgot that we have leftover Steak Bites in the fridge. Will serve those with baked potatoes & a veggie. I enjoy cooking but also never mind a night off from it . This morning I've been puttering & also watching the birds. It's amazing how many showed up once the temps got into the 20s overnight. Glad I put seed & suet out on our last warm (40-ish degree) day. Dh is on his way home so lunch soon.

I don't see an edit button to add to my previous post, but wanted to add that there were no bots when I first logged on, but one after I posted. I logged out & the bot disappeared. Logged back in & there it was again. It may be a coincidence but it feels a little strange. If it keeps happening it will feel very strange, as though me logging in triggers it to appear. Hmmmm ....
Well, usually I am the one in a panic, unable to find y'all, but I was able to hit our site on my favorites, on the desk top, and here I am -- although this may not post.
I'm going to follow Dove's example and email myself the address to our main page. Hmmm -- "color button no longer says 'color" but looks like a drop of water. That's not a problem. * The bigger problem is that the "c" on my keyboard sticks and either doesn't type at all or gives a whole row of c's sometimes. *
We had Hanging of the Greens at church today. I had to read a scripture and a passage about the evergreen tree; dgd walked to the front of the church with me but she didn't want to read anything. DS and DDIL hung a wreath, and dgs was an alcolyte, so I guess our family was well-represented.
Does everyone know what the Hanging of the Greens is? I certainly did NOT, when I first became a Methodist! It's so hard for me to realize that I have now been a Methodist more than twice as long as I was a Baptist. * Just skip the rest of this paragraph if you're already familiar with all this! I certainly don't mean to sound like I assume y'all don't know, but I was completely ignorant of ALL of this when dh and I got married! I had never seen it done in the Baptist church or the Church of Christ that my paternal grandmother went to. * But Hanging of the Greens is just decorating the church for Christmas. Monday night my Sunday School class put up the tree and Chrismons, which I also had no idea about 45 years ago -- they are all white and gold ornaments that are traditional Christian symbols and objects that represent events in the life of Christ, and we put out the purple cloths on the lectern and the table where we normally have a cross and two candles. We also put the Nativity scene on that table, and garlands across the railing at the front of the church and at the balcony. So there wasn't a lot to do today except the wreaths, hanging from light fixtures on the side walls of the church, and lighting the first candle of the Advent candle.
Anyway, it actually is meaningful, and helps put some of the traditional Christmas symbolism into a Christian perspective.
Afterwards, the dgrands wanted to go to McD's... of course. Dgd would LIVE there, I believe, and I really didn't want anything except some of the chicken and dressing I still had in the refrigerator! I ate that, put the remainder in the freezer, and BELIEVE IT OR NOT -- all my Sunday chores are DONE, except taking the garbage to the road. I'll do that in just a minute, and then after dgd's birthday party, I will have nothing to do except relax. And as I said in my late night post last night, I am MORE than ready for some quiet time to relax. This has been Some Kind of Week. I absolutely LOVE having dgrands around, and hosting Thanksgiving wasn't a problem at all. We had no cross words with dbro, and I enjoyed spending time with him, dsisil, and ddil's parents and brother. It was just a good day, and not overly emotional for me. But my goodness. The only time I've been alone in the past nine days was when I was making the dressing. That's not a hard job, but it is time-consuming and tiring.
DGD's party is 4:00 pm till 6:00 pm, and we have NO IDEA how many to expect. She invited approx. 30 kids, ddil said. All her classmates at school and at church, and a few more friends from school, plus 5 cousins on my side. However, NO ONE has let ddil know they are coming except our preacher's grandchild.
It is noisy at the skating rink, and I always feel a little awkward -- I want to talk to everyone and make sure they don't feel left out, since lots of them will not know each other, but of course, I will not know a lot of them either, and what I'd really prefer to do is find a table in the concession area and just talk to dbil's fiance' or my cousins. But that seems kinda rude... so... anyway, dgd is all excited and it will all be over in two hours.
I have to stop by Wmart and get the cake, and plastic forks, which ddil forgot.
I must check out the Decluttered thread. I can't relax too much because I still have the bulk of my shopping to do! A lot will be online, but still, it has to be done!
this afternoon I have been more of the Christmas Curmudgeon than the spirit of Christmas.
what do you find important in having the holidays - have you ever gotten a nervous twitching eye - "It's Christmas dog gone it" - That's where I went this afternoon.
I struggled with anxiety of falling behind when everyone decided to hold off again on the tree (more a last minute thing)- - was it a big deal - no - did I get frustrated -yes! .I struggle with not moving forward so that December is completely calm. it wasn't important but I saw myself with an empty tree again or no tree at all. "Bah humbug! - oh my goodness so dramatic.
mom is trying to wrap presents for dd - she is trying - at first she didn't know what to do but she is figuring it out. it is good for her to do these things.
I have groceries on the counters, that will be next. there is stuff all over the table in the kitchen, on the counters, etc. etc. dd younger is overwhelmed and the chaos on the counter is too much for her. That and that dd older was intense and then I got intense - gosh darn it we were intense. I feel better but dd is on delay overwhelmed. Her dog is not happy either. my goodness - time to PIVET -

Twins' Mom says to post for her :

She has only hotel WiFi and her phone isn't even on that. She's convinced that when she gets home, she'll be able to troubleshoot and post with us.
Our hallway - I have vacuumed and mopped with wood floor cleaner. Going over the second time did a good job.
Dd44 is home from their TDay trip to her in-laws. She, and possibly one of the boys, is coming over at 7 to watch the Final of Great British Baking Show with us.
HRH made spaghetti and not-meatballs for us tonight - very good.
I have been wrapping presents as well. d mom needed a break but did a beautiful job.
dd younger is not overwhelmed any more - turns out she is in pain.

I am better. not peace filled but better.
I figure I will write down what is important to only me for Christmas. focus on what gives me joy in the season. what is important to me may not be important to everyone else.
