looks like I have to go to mom's again - it's 7:31pm her apartment is dark - I spoke to her and she asks like she is making sense but I know that I have to go over there. - girls have told me she is just sleepy and that I may be at my mom level that will make me sick. She is sound asleep again.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Dove, visitors aren't allowed to see who is online. When I am not logged in as myself, I can't see any line to tell me others are here - not other member's names or a bot. When I am logged in as me, I see other villager's handles and whether a bot is also here.

Nancy, I've heard from LadyM that even though you can get here on your phone you're having trouble with your Chrome book.
If you're not able to find the site at all with the Chrome book, please try the address :
bb.shesorganized.org
If you are able to get here on Chromebook but just can't log in, what does the screen look like after trying to log in? Wondering if it is the same look that LadyM is seeing, that I described yesterday.

editing - actually, since you have already been able to post, I'm sure the way you see the page is normal. Sorry - mental glitch there, lol

For the first time I tried getting here on our I Pad. I found that the above address got the I Pad here as expected and the "dot net" address did as well, but the "dot org" without the "bb." prefix did not.

Dstepson has been here checking the temperature-sensitive feature he put on our wellhouse light outlet, that hopefully keeps our pipes warm this winter. So far, so good. He came in to visit and took a plate back to dstepdil.

Leftovers made a really good supper. I was amused that the last of the cranberry sauce was simply good on everything, even meatballs! lol

This is what shows in my address line for the main page. I hope everyone can get back in here soon!

Blessed -- it wasn't that people confirmed they were coming and then were no-shows, it was that NO ONE confirmed OR sent regrets. Maybe this generation doesn't know what "rsvp" means anymore? Dmom said if she did not have rsvp's by the weekend, she would have started calling people -- but ddil doesn't have phone numbers for dgd's classmates. She could have called the people at church I guess, but that's not really ddil's style. At least a few kids showed up, and dgd was fine.
I continue to be in awe of how well you manage your dmom. I am exhausted after spending the afternoon with my mother. The good news is, she was tested for covid, rsv, and something else today, and that all came back negative. However, chest x-ray shows some infection and doctor is calling in a rx for her.
I will get that for her tomorrow and take it to her -- I need to drive our truck out that way and have the oil and antifreeze checked anyway.
The truck would barely start this morning and it is supposed to be really cold this week. I also need to put some gas in it. Dcousin seems to have forgotten that he wants to buy it!

DDIL went for a job interview today. There are rumors that our local hospital is closing within a few months. DDIL loves working there, but her boss and quite a few of her co-workers have already started putting in applications elsewhere, so I guess she is right to be making sure she has something in line. She will be working M-F, 8 hrs a day, day-shift, if she gets the job she applied for today. It is at a nursing home, about 30 minutes away. She feels pretty good about it. They said every 4-6 weeks she will be asked to do a weekend shift, but on those weeks, she will be off on Friday and Monday.
I just don't know how she will like this after being off 8 of 9 days every other week... BUT... having a schedule that more resembles the kids' schedule may be good for her. Of course, she and ds will not have those 8 days together anymore -- when he is traveling on the weekends, they will only be seeing each other on week nights. But I am just praying that God will open the door if it is right for her, and close it if it is not.
She said she would continue to work "as needed" at our local hospital, weekends, to keep her foot in the door there as long as it is open.

:?: How far do most of you have to travel to your closest hospital? If this facility closes, our entire county (approx population 35000) will be without a hospital or 24-hr emergency room. It is 21.4 miles to the nearest emergency room out of county from my house, and I am pretty near the center of the county. Of course, people north/south of me may be closer to some of the hospitals in neighboring counties on those sides of us.
DDIl is also afraid the dgrands' pediatricians will retire if the hospital closes. They work at an urgent care that is owned by the hospital.
Really, she should probably just start taking them to our family doctor -- I started seeing the family doctor when I was around three years old! It was just easier for my dmom to take me to him than it was for her to get me to Next Town where my pediatrician was. I started taking ds to the family doctor at about the age dgs is now also, after two pediatricians retired on him! DGD will still have her rheumatologist in BIG City, and the eye doctor in Other Big City.

I've done it again. Fell asleep on the couch... won't be able to sleep in the bed again tonight.
I did finish writing out the rough draft of church year-end summary for the preacher. I have to type it now and email it to her... with this keyboard that has the sticking "c"! This is very aggravating. Have you ever tried to play a piano with a key that sticks? &^@!#(_*

Good night, all! Hope to see more of you tomorrow!
Tomorrow is another day.
