Re: Wow! It's Wednesday with three weeks until Christmas!!
Yesterday dh and I brought in all the Christmas stuff from the garage. There are 2 totes that are HUGE and they were almost too heavy to bring in. I will be looking for 4 smaller totes to replace those giant ones. I would also love to have this stuff on a lower shelf in the garage, but I don't see that happening any time soon.
We have a bit of snow on the ground right now. Up until last night we hadn't really had any on the ground. I might go to Walmart today.

THANK YOU Kathryn for fixing my login! Thank you Harriet, HRH, and Ken who worked countless hours behind the scene.

Re: Wow! It's Wednesday with three weeks until Christmas!!
Lately, I can only focus on the next day or two. So while I appreciate knowing Christmas is in 3 weeks, knowing that changes nothing.
I have to get through today (see below) and the next 5 days in Toronto, and then my dental appointment for my broken tooth, then my busy day with 2 meetings, weekly workout and an appointment for my orthotics. The next day is singing with dh for seniors (which is an hour away and includes lunch so is basically an all-day affair), and then a day off to write the Christmas Eve service and put up the tree (but not decorate.) Then I am organizing a Christmas Supplies Swap, babysitting dgs3.5, hosting all grands to decorate the tree and the following day is church with dgs3.5 and then an afternoon off. The day after that is when I can start planning for Christmas Day.
Today's activities:
1. start a pork stew in the crock pot.
2. Repair two decorations
3. finish dealing with the 5 decoration bins I've brough up from the locker (there's still 4 more plus the tree down there.)
4. Put up winter paintings
5. Brown bag lunch downstairs
6. Workout class
7. Tidy my desk
8. pack for Toronto trip (including set the car to charge to 100%)
9. Monitor the snowstorm to make sure I'll be able to go tomorrow
10. put up and decorate 3 lobby trees.
11. Write up the instructions for doing laundry because dh will have to do it when I'm gone.
First, I'll start the stew and then I'll s2s and get started on the other things.

***Big Sigh of relief**** I am home again in the SHE village.
I am in the 3rd hour of my day. If I don't focus on each hour then my day just seems to disappear. For me it is similiar to “Watch your pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves.” I need to watch each hour and trust the day will take care of itself. In theory anyway

Peeking in -- but really don't have time. I need to be otd to payroll in 40 minutes. Just thinking of you gals.
Nice to see you Kathryn! That's a lot on your list.
I'm learning to think about hours that way too, LadyM.
WTG getting the totes of Christmas stuff out, CathyS.
I was very scheduled yesterday. Not including transportation time, I had a meeting 10 - 11:45; personal trainer 1-2; babysitting Fable (dd26's puppy) 3:30 - 4; teaching W class 4:30 - 5:30; J11yo's concert 6:30 - 8. In between this, I prepped for W class, graded most of the first drafts (AIW class), drove around town, had lunch, kept the kitchen clean, got a homemade meal ready - pulled a leftover main from the freezer (dh and I ate separately and met at the concert).
TODAY is a more low-key day. I am teaching 11-1. I also need to make a short trip to WF. Going for a jog would be good - I didn't go Monday. I'm going to a personal trainer Tuesdays and Thursdays and trying to get in 3 jogs on other days. There's a weekly 5K every Saturday. The personal trainer is a lot of $$ but it's been great to kickstart me into taking exercise more seriously. And I'm happier and feel better when I'm more active. Starting to grade midterm tests and wrapping gifts I'm taking to IL with me this weekend would be other great things to accomplish today. Dh is out with a work dinner tonight so I'm on my own! Housemate M is arriving home today at some point. (We're renting a room to her; she works for the same faith-based org that dd29 works for.)
I'm off to shower and make myself presentable to society at large. LOL!
Done:
- finished grading 1st drafts of essays
- tweaked midterm test
- set up slides for class today AIW D8
- printed out midterm tests + prewriting organizers
- unloaded dw
- small morning stuff: weighed in, coffee, weather websites, culled email

Re: Wow! It's Wednesday with three weeks until Christmas!!
Good morning! So good to see LadyM back!
Waiting at the dentist’s office for DC, who’s getting a cavity (or maybe more than one?) filled. Will take them to school this afternoon. I’m hoping classes will be cancelled tomorrow; they’re predicting a blizzard starting tonight and going into the wee hours of Friday.
I am chilled through. I have not taken off my coat, and I’m still chilly. It probably doesn’t help that I’m sitting by the window, but the seats away from the window don’t have a good view of the office.
Not sure what I’ve got on the agenda for today. And the conversation here has gotten too interesting to think. Let’s see… I need to do laundry (as ever)… and there are so many things needing to be picked up in the living and dining rooms — maybe today should be a puttering day.
Good to see helia — boy, you’ve been busy!
DC should be done any minute, so I will say goodbye for now!

Re: Wow! It's Wednesday with three weeks until Christmas!!
Yea I'm so glad to be back and to see LM back with us posting here again as well thank you to all who worked so much to do that.
We have high fog for the 3rd day in a row today. 29* 39* F. today's temps.
Thankful it does not bother me much as I get focused on the task at hand & the tree blocks the view of the sky in the living room
when I was knitting on a new project and paying attn. to counting stitches. One I'm nearly at a place I have to stop and wait for yarn to arrive.
The other might be too small I"ll have to add edging on I think but I"m learning how to do it so it's worth my time to learn the shawl it's
a bucket list thing. LOL!
I woke up thinking of add a card plan for my card file revamp, did daily cards & D's card and a few others have headings for later.
Happy with my progress this week.
Been feeling slightly puny but I did get some things done at home so that's good.

Re: Wow! It's Wednesday with three weeks until Christmas!!
I have been wanting to replace the 10 year old shelf liner in the cupboards under the island. There is usually Christmas stuff way at the back, but that all came out this morning. So I finally got the new liner put down!
