I like the therapist so I booked an appointment after Christmas to talk again.

So it turned out that the Geek Squad technicial did not want to reinstall Windows - he wants me to take it store so they can back it up before reinstalling. So in a lot of ways that was wasted time although he did a "tune up" apparently.

I still haven't finished a.m. routine. The ddog was on the bed all morning so I let her lie instead of getting her moved. Sometimes it's like a baby you don't want to disturb. So two things to finish routine at least.

I"m setting a timer to start at TOTH for 45 min. Need to finish a.m. routine, do phone call re: a return, straighten MBR and bath (lots to put away), fold a lol, I know there's a lot more...

TOmorrow I have to be at doc off ice at 10 so need to leave things in good shape tonight. I still have the 7 p.m. zoom tonight.

Glad dh is cognizant of household responsibilities again, bw2. Thinking of you.

Back from running errands:
A river return done
Bough small Cmas ornament from dollar store for my morning class
Bought all my groceries
Came home and put everything away
Signed and mailed a birthday card

I am sitting for a moment and taking a break

Next up:
Empty dish washer
Reload dishwasher
Fold load of towels

Tomorrow I will:
Go to class
Join my friends afterward at Star bucks
Will buy 10 star bucks gift cards
Stop at the dollar stairs for a few other things
Go to Wm for last presents
Go to Target for several other gift cards
Cross the road to Michael’s for an other gift card

And then I’m done!!! I ordered a new slim Cmas tree… it will be here in a few days. Will donate old ones who are in good shape and work to good will. Need to order a ham for Christmas Eve.

Waving to y’all… I’m off

Hour #8 is in progress here.

Lunch with DFriends was very much enjoyed. Sometimes I find myself wishing it was possible to capture an experience and save it in vivid detail to be able to enjoy it again over and over. Video and/or pictures don't capture the feeling of acceptance, love, support, and wiliness to drop everything and help if needed.
Part of the lunch was spent planning funeral details for lifelong dfriend. She was still driving, living alone, and attending church less than a month ago. She had a full life that touched a lot of people and made their life richer just by knowing her. There wasn't sadness as she was 93 and shared many times that she was ready to go. There was more of acknowledgement and honoring of what an amazing awesome person she was. So many memories made over decades of friendship.

I am going to take a break before getting DD13 from school.

My goodness that mall was busy. I saw a man leaving with a very small bag swinging from his hand and a HUGE smile on his face. I bet someone in his life is getting something fabulous for Christmas!!

I was in and out of Costco extremely quickly. Saw someone working at the pharmacy and she asked how I was doing as she hadn't seen me in quite a while. I'm glad she realized that because she must see so many people in there all the time. She is on a regular Monday to Friday day shift sort of schedule. I also recognized the cashier. I haven't been into that particular location in months.

Dh says he had a good day, so that makes me happy. It's been a very foggy day but it's not too cold. The traffic was really good on the way home from that mall but I'm happy I went. It really made my day to see that HUGE smile on that strange man's face!

ta dahs:
-bed made and kitchen island - finished a.m. routine.
-straightened bathroom
-hung up a table runner from washer - it had a stain so I applied oxi-clean paste and let it sit, then washed it. I think stain is gone.
-folded and put away laundry, folded and put away some of clean sweaters from drying racks
-talked to dd who called. I can't talk to her for a chunk of time everyday. I gave her an ear load of my own issues and signed off after 15 minutes
-got two packages off front door step and put away things, watered pansy plants that I still don't have into a pot.
-found the back of an earring. I dropped it last night in the DR and was too dark to look for it.

I love my dd but need some uninterupted time to focus and work. I think she got the message. At 4 pm I will walk ddog and then continue working to :15 before the hour. I need to make the customer service phone call re: a return, straighten MBR and perhaps start some paper taming on the desk in our bedroom. It's been piled up since April.

I havent' s2s ;) but mom has been fed twice - she even helped make a dinner type lunch - she was slow and steady but brain was good. She is mentally tired and is now resting while watching murder she wrote.
I told her about the woman tonight and that she is sleeping at home. I still have to pick up her big blankets to bring to cleaners and make her bed. The lady is coming at 7 so I will leave here at 6:00 pm. I am hoping dd younger will come with me to help.
I have a feeling the time involved with getting mom going in the morning and bringing her home in the night time will be a struggle for me but then I should get sleep.

Last night mom walked around quite a bit so I am hoping she sleeps tonight for the lady!
keeping fingers crossed.

dishes washing themselves
another load of blankets washing themselves
It's Tuesday: bathroom cleaning day!

I moved my spices - again! it has not been working on top of the counter - too messy
I also moved my junk drawer for the first time in 25 years. :D

blessed, I'm so glad your dh is back to normal helping around the house and seems to feel good. You need some worries off your mind.

Cathy,
isn't it nice to think that somewhere out there, someone will have joyous hearts at gift-time! Memories made. Also isn't it nice when a man has found the right gift, just in case he is one of those who doesn't find it very easy.

For some reason, I just HAD to get the mending done today. I don't know why - maybe it's like "playing hooky" from less happy things, since even though it's just mending, it's still sewing. A top for me mended last evening and today a meaningful lightweight denim shirt of HRH's that has the colorful embroidered logo of a project at the plant he used to manage. I wouldn't want him to lose it just because of a rip I could have handled and also wouldn't want to do a poor or unsightly job of patching since it's near the collar. Definitely a TA DA. Can hardly see it but the stitching is neat anyway.

Waiting a little impatiently on an order of odd groceries. I'm sort of supposed to eat a certain way for a few days and I'd like to have all that here and be able to plan. They are taking their time.

I need to touch base with dd44 because her family is headed out in a day or two for her in-laws.

Still have presents to purchase, although I'm sure HRH could handle it. I've already bought extra bags and tissue.
