I have been glad I had my black and red plaid shirt to wear today with a vest and my black jeans, for got my Santa hat it would have been the perfect day for it!

Got my steps in today.
The soup is done and cooling now.
It's very tasty.
So glad that the kitchen has been cleaned and that was a joy for me!

Realized that I should have gotten two strings of new lites.
Oh well I'll add it to my list for next time I'm down town.

Bathroom floors project of the day is completed. I am pleased to have those done.

I ordered meats & side for 10 people from our local BBQ place to serve on Christmas. Keeping it simple and easy for me. I will be doing other cooking, but this gives me some relief to not do it all.

made caramelized onions for tonights dinner
soup stock cooking
used up the bananas - after cooking dinner I will put that in the oven
mom swept the kitchen floor, peeled and cut veggies, read her book

mom is very with it and is now realizing that having someone at night will be the only option - she is not happy as she feels she is fine. 90% healthy means she can but if she doesnt' drink water, has a night mare, or doesn't eat makes her dehydrated and she has dementia.
she also has to be here daily - she can spend some time on her own in her apartment still but not a whole day bc she forgets to eat/drink.
I feel for her. now her brain is great. but that changes super fast.

I bought a new freezer - upright smaller one - I have decided to keep premade meals in there - I love my super cubes.

Chicken soup with left overs clean out the fridge type, veg broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, & spaghetti squash.

Got some more journal prompts written out to work with maybe in the new year.
Brought in the beverages from the deck and put in the fridge.
Still enjoying the lites for the season, walked ddoggo around the block not sure I mentioned it or not.

Took tags off my new slippers.
Heard most of a pod cast before dd called.
I have soup in the smaller containers & did up more dishes after dinner.
Ddoggo approved my cooking adventure today.
Got 10K steps in today, walked to see the lites up the street.

sounds wonderful d Nancy!

d rose :D

I will have one pot of stock in the large croc pot that will cook all night
made banana bread but everyone was disappointed that I didn't put chocolate chips in it.
one pot of chicken stock strained and cooling in the 3 season room.
I also cooked some veggies in the stock and put them away as d mom, dd's and myself love carrots/parsnips cooked in light broth for a long time.
dinner was good but very rich - I can't do that often but mom ate the whole thing so she must have liked it.
dd older took mom to her apartment to meet the new lady
dishes still in sink but dishes are finishing washing in the dw.
I rinsed the kitchen floor - again 8-)
it is always a joy to be here with you!

The festive groove of my day has been minimal but may continue this weekend. Space has been made for the little artificial tree, there were more arrivals of gifts for the grands, plans for bagging them, lol. Tomorrow hanging a few small seasonal quilts. Getting ready for the hopeful visit from dd26 Sunday, so that she can help change out the large quilt that is hanging, from fall to winter.

I have stayed right on target with eating today. Not the most appetizing, but exactly the calories I decided, and good for me without being too good. It's counterintuitive, but it's a bad idea to eat really well right now. One more day of this type of eating. My regret yesterday was being talked into a very small additional meal of mac and cheese by dd26 and a nurse, who were worried that since I felt down from the bp episode, eating was the answer. Sigh. I cut down on some other things.

Ended water/drinks early because I'm supposed to actively try for a full night's sleep.

Nap - took one long nap, not the two smaller ones I had sort of anticipated would happen. I think that turned out better.

Phone calls dominated. Too boring to recount to you guys.
In fact, I just want to say a big "Way to Go" to everyone and get back to catching up later. You're interesting, though, no doubt.

Dstepson came and took our truck to hitch the enclosed trailer for his trip to dd26's tomorrow. He will help dsonil with a household project, too. He wanted to bring lunch today, and I couldn't talk him out of it. So HRH talked to him and just told him I wasn't supposed to eat anything good, so give up on asking me, lol. Interestingly, I appreciate the support.

Tomorrow morning HRH and I go back out to the same place, where I have a protective shot scheduled. We had to give up an appt for it close to home today because our time went over last night, and we wouldn't have been on the correct schedule. The office near here isn't open Saturdays.

And, surprise, they've scheduled another appt same place on the 23rd so I can be scrutinized suspiciously and poked. Sigh. They did promise they wouldn't ask for any more appts in between times, just this first.

Gets complicated.

That’s exactly how we do Christmas Eve dinner with ds and dbil families, LadyM. We have nine people now. But. Am wondering how long till dnephew gets our number back to ten. He’s been posting a lot of pictures with a certain girl and he’s brought her home to meet the family.

Good luck to your dnephew and the team tomorrow!!! Oh my goodness — I KNOW what a big deal that is, first time to state playoff! Congratulations to them all!!! We never had that kind of success during the years dh coached here, but I know what a thrill it has to be for him and the players — and your whole town. Can’t wait to hear how they do!

Haven’t really cuop yet — bbl!
Tomorrow is another day.

HOW am I EVER going to stop this habit of constant scrolling on the internet? I pick up my phone to check email, check in with you girls, and an hour later I have been on FB watching STUPID reels and and looking at a bunch of posts that have nothing to do with anything I care about.
I just have a really hard time staying with the purpose— email, messages, SHEs, FB notifications from real friends (as opposed posts from completely strangers and ads for things I’m not going to buy.)
Tomorrow is another day.
