blessed, do you recall if it took a long time to take effect? Several hours in and it just finally seems to be helping. This is zo fran, There is a heavier duty one I can have but even pharmacist came out to talk to me and tell me how serious it is, so I would rather resist that if possible. Yes, it was interesting that Tobias came to bed with me - never, never happens. He will do that with HRH but not me. I am the couch snuggle person only - he expects to be right up against me there. But to go to the trouble of jumping on the bed for my sake is totally unlike him. I wonder if we send out signals we don't realize, and our furry friends know more than we think. It dawns on me that you just lost your kitty, and I am genuinely sorry but glad you had your happy times, of course - good household for kitty, I'm sure, to get to live with ya'll.

HRH has made a grocery order for us. Strangest order, lol. Because I don't know what I want to eat or what to plan that I could eat. It's all over the place.

d harriet mine and dh/was called ondansetron ; which I believe is a generic for zo Fran - for me it was an hour + - unfortunately I always have to stay ahead or it hits me hard with a migraine. I just remember that nauseous feeling hanging over me. the odansetron didn't kick it out all the way but it did give me relief - I will have to ask the girls if they remember dh's but I think it took some time. - dd younger isn't here but I will ask her when she gets home! She was on it last week so she know the exact time. I am so sorry you are going through this bc it's an awful feeling. I am praying this time goes by fast! I will let you know after I talk to dd.

Thank you d harriet!!

I do think animals can sense things that we can't. My dad's mom had a dog that didn't enjoy cuddling but she was sick one day with a fever and the chills. That dog went under her covers and laid right behind her back. (didn't move until she broke her fever). What a sweet boy Tobias is!!! it is amazing how they watch out for us!

your brain and body is thinking enough for you so you don't have to -it's working on healing you!

I suddenly feel very lazy -
mom spend most of the day with d brother. very nice!!! he said she was really with it! good! I have enjoyed the day!

brother and I talked about having mom do physical therapy - he thought the drs. would do that from the hospital. I think it's important so that she doesn't go down hill physically bc she is weaker than she was before.

hi d Nancy
I think it is so cool that you spin!
smart dog you have there
51 degrees wow - glad that the winds will die down.

hi d Kathryn rah rah rah - yay on all you did

hi d lady so glad he is doing better! I was worried about him!!! what an amazing man to get his body to where it is right now - much better than I expected. Thank goodness he has your ds!!!
I have always wanted some land and have multi generational homes on it. (my brother's sister in law lives on the same land on the other side - large bit of farm land) it's very nice!
kids calling - yes that does take the time for listening! lol they do check in especially if they are bored while they are driving etc. my eldest calls me when she drives home from work - she also chats with dd younger a lot - it's and hour and a half drive and she gets bored.
dd younger calls me when driving across country (or states) for hours to keep herself awake and busy. ;)

I'm sorry Harriet is challenged today but I hope, as she rests, she basks in the accomplishment of planning ahead for these moments and being fully prepared for them without a lot of things left undone. There's an endless list of things any of us could rhyme off at any time, but Harriet identified the important ones to her, got those done, and is now able to do the items that she has the energy for, and can let others pick up the slack for her as required because she planned, and worked, ahead!

Exercise class is done.

Now to start on December 29th's service so my local church secretary can get that service printed off in the next few days. School ends on Friday so I know she'll want to have most of her work done by then.

The church secretary where I'm preaching next week has her dmil's wake tonight and funeral so said she'll get to looking at the bulletin later. I told her I can print off the bulletins for her if it would help to have one less thing to think about. I have the time/energy to do that on the weekend.

the poor men who brought the new dw - when they moved it out, from under the sink, there was so much mouse poop - years worth! disgusting! I am so glad I have the mouse company coming once a month. I missing having mousers (kitties). We had a great mouser, Tiger a beautiful gray cat, that lived for 22 years. After he was gone then mice came to play. The other kitties got them when they were in the house but now that we don't have cats, I worry that we will continue to have problems.

I am frustrated at the eco sh ield company - the local chapter - they were supposed to be here in beginning of December to close up the house and they were supposed to be here to come inside. I got a notice that they serviced us - we don't get the house sprayed - they never came in and claimed that they did - no texts, no calls, our door bell works and we have 3 dogs. mmmm - the company said he was in front of our house according to their mapping system - no one came in but said they did. That stuff bothers me.

Ugh. I was obviously delusional this morning. And I had no idea how many things could go wrong today. Once one does, I think they snowball, at least I get negative and then everything is wrong!

I have been to the funeral and cemetery and that's it. While at the cemetery, I stepped on a great bog clump of red soggy dirt and my boot is nasty. I got some off the bottom of it, but took it off to drive home. So I didn't want to do any of errands because I didn't want to track it around. In fact, it's in the car in my garbage bag. I'll get it and start drying it out - easier to dry and then try to clean up.

And it's raining again. I was running later than I wanted getting to the temple and big fat raindrops were coming down hard. I found parking by the back entrance to the building and used my little umbrella to get inside. The sun was out briefly as the funeral ended but light rain started again during the service at the graveside. I left a stone on dmil's grave and on the combined stone for the deceased and his wife. Remembering his wife, who was a dear friend. The funeral was joyful in many ways but I forgot my hearing aid (again, I was running late) so I couldn't hear much of it. The rabbi also used the phrase "a life well lived" which someone used the other day. I said that to his dd also.

I'm sick of rain and wet. Our screened porch has been wet for days, either from rain or fog breaking up with the high humidity in the air. So I just walked ddog in the light rain.

And the reason that I was late was that the clock (remember the clock from yesterday?) was 30 or so minutes off. Dh is resetting it and getting it back up right now. I don't know what happened the day up until 1 p.m. when I finished drying my hair and checked the time. I was out the door after that in 15 minutes, but w/o a plan for the rain and w/o my hearing aid.

And I wore black leggings to the funeral with a sweater, scarf, and jacket, and during the funeral, I noticed a tiny hole in them! One of my favorites - wool so warm and rain resistant (I was worried about the rain.) I may be able to darn the little hole, but I took them off immediately when I got home.

The one positive thing I did was that I decided to finally get some of the pansies into planters. The morning was warm and pleasant, almost like spring and I grabbed the chance to get dead zinnias out of planters and pansies into them. The two planters flanking our sidewalk still have dead geraniums and asparagus fern. They didn't succumb until we were in NYC but they need to come out and pansies go in. It didn't take long, tho, so I can't figure out how the morning got sucked up.

I didn't have time to have lunch before the funeral - just ate a sandwich and three Lindt balls and now I almost feel ill.

Busy day.

Public school is done. DD!3 had 3 semester test today.
Homeschool is done.

DS16 took friend that is a girl out to eat lunch. He called and requested to use our credit card to pay because he was short money. We had a conversation about changes to his money management skills before I approved him using the emergency CC.

DS16 sold one of his pickups. It is his pickup but is in our name since he must be 18 years old to legally own a vehicle. Lots of interaction making this sale happen. I am glad to have one less vehicle on our insurance.

DS16 went to order $$$ of parts to fix another one of his pickups using the money he just received from the sale. He came home with a vase of flowers for me as a thank you for helping him.

DS16 now has current girlfriend with him to go caroling with a church youth group.

Dh just left to bowl tonight - a tournament - and said it might be a late night. I'd love to get something done. OTOH, I'm going to veg out for a bit and see if my mood improves. There's always tomorrow, too, when I don't have anything on the calendar, and dh is out again for dinner.

Final Update. For the third day in a row of pushing for productivity, I'm impressed with myself.

[[Done! ] Finish the Christmas Eve Church Service Bulletin
[[Done! ] Trim bangs
[[Done! ] Book an adjustment appointment for my new orthotic.
[[Done! ] Book a doctor's appointment for my hips/knees. T
[ ] Write my stuff for the December 29. I found the shared file of that service yesterday.
[ ] Clean the bathrooms (started yesterday so now a low priority to finish but a thorn in my side so I'm likely to get it done today.)
[[Done! ] Chair exercise class
[ ] DPC: Phone the clock repair guy about the clock in for repair
[[Done! ] Christmas baking: Nuts and Bolts
[ [Done! ] Christmas baking: shortbread
[[Done! ] Christmas baking: lemon squares
[ [Done! ] Kitchen weekly chores
[ ] Take dd her Christmas present.
[Done! ] Write the words I'll be using on Advent 4 for the children’s time

I also sorted out sales chits (looking for one I need for a return.) And I had to fill my vitamin dispensers. Got 4 weeks done so won't have to think about it until mid-January.

Disruption struck while I was putting the flour tupperware container back in the cupboard (which is over the peninsula, so there's a walkway entrance to the kitchen behind it.) The backing on the cupboard came off and fell into the walkway, chipping the corner off the panel that came off.

Nothing went through and onto the floor but now 1/4 of the cupboards are open to both sides. Dh was going to tack it back on (it was held on by tiny nails that go 1/2" into the panel.) I said leave it off and get the landlord to do the repair. I had them here to inspect the unit because it is also coming down from the ceiling and I suspect the panel came off partly due to the twisting of the whole cupboard unit as it separates from the ceiling. Dh says I pushed the panel off when I put the flour away. So we had a fight over that.

All my kitchen is literally falling apart and the thermofoil has both discoloured in the sun and is also peeling off. Currently I'm using packing tape to stop the shelf edges and door edges from peeling off more. The real annoyance is the landlord will not allow us to pull out these cupboards and redo the kitchen, paying for it ourselves.

The landlord has said they will replace the section falling down when they redo another kitchen with the same configuration and give me that old cupboard. I'll be shocked if they can pull another cupboard down and not have it fall apart before install it in my kitchen.

It did remind me that I had to get everything glass out of the cupboard. If/when it falls off completely, it will make a mess. No need to add glass to that cleanup challenge.
