Ds came after work and took all the party presents to his house for the tree. He wouldn't wear his uniform shirt in here in case of germs, so took it off in the cold, cold, and came in wearing a tee shirt. Brrr. He sat and chatted a while, distantly. We really appreciated having someone to talk to.
I made a phone call to the oldest boy-cousin who knows I am going through treatments. He's the one I hadn't talked to personally. We stayed on the phone too long, I'm sure, but had a wonderful chat.
I did nap, and it may have been too long. Missed my nausea med by an hour but I don't think that's too much. Symptoms seem to be changing again to flu-like without fever. Arms ache as though a flu so I took a tylen ol. Maybe I'll go to bed early tonight.
LadyM, what a long day's work - glad you got so much done.
Cathy, your home must smell wonderful with all your baked goods.
Twins', that is frustrating but maybe you have hit resolution on most.

Harriet: If you have Amazon Prime, I recommend "Your Place or Mine?" (2023) and "Your Place or Mine? 2" (2024) I hit upon the first last year by serendipity (I needed something to watch while decorating) and enjoyed it so much more than a traditional "hallmark" move. Mostly because it wasn't about falling in love with someone but about falling in love with their family (which is, when I think about it, why I love "While You Were Sleeping" so much. This year, I tentatively started watching the sequel, thinking I'd turn it off if it was disappointing but it wasn't. This year's theme was about the families learning to love each other.
We're back home from being out. Updated list:

[ ] Take dd her Christmas present.
Afternoon
[ Done!] Pick up DC from school and take her to the doctor (that's a 2 hour drive in total) (This was the highlight of the day. Ddil raises wonderful kids and this 15.5 year old is a delight to chat with and someone I want to know better.)
[ Done!] Return or exchange dgs8's birthday gift as it doesn't work. He's getting a build your own desk top pinball machine in exchange for the nerf cross bow since the staff couldn't get it, nor the one on the shelf, to work either.
[ Done! ] Shop for suitcases for dgs8 and dgd Marshalls and Samsonite didn't have anything suitable but Walmart did.
[ Done!] Pick up vanilla foaming soap from fancy soap shop. They didn't have it but Walmart did.
Bonus: found a gift for dgs3.5 at Walmart too.
Evening
[ ] Write my stuff for the December 29. A MUST DO tonight before bed.
[ ] watch another Christmas movie
[ ] set up train under tree

Running through -- can't stay. Working on a grocery list that I should have had done days ago (we scrounged for dinner tonight; the kids had Chinese leftovers, DH made himself something with leftover rice and corn, and I had pizza rolls and salad). But the grocery list was put off because I had to get Christmas presents taken care of -- the groceries will still be there; the presents are on a deadline.
I hope everybody has a good evening!

I enjoyed a new Christmas movie on net Flix this year I it was in Scotland I enjoyed it.
trying to remember the name of it. "A Merry Scottish Christmas" found it.
I usually only only watch one or two new ones & a couple of choir concerts.
Time to put those dishes away.

The December 29th service is done as far as I'm concerned and sent to those who should see it. Hopefully that stays off my plate now.
Dh went to bed an hour ago so I'll put off my evening 'play time' until tomorrow afternoon.
Still delighted with our time with DC today and also chuffed that dgs3.5 was so excited to see me he ignored his sister (who he usually is gaga over!)
I forgot to say that dh and I had dinner out at a sit-down chain restaurant after our shopping. We both enjoyed our meals and dh brought home leftovers for tomorrow night (I'll have the leftovers from earlier in the week.)
