If you use the Eisenhauer matrix, not everything is "Urgent and Important" because your brain is trying to make it so.
Bw2 said it well yesterday:
As a kindness to yourself, gently move those items to, perhaps, the new year, and focus on what's important today. When the brain makes you think everything is important, it's often a result of heightened anxiety, stress, or a state of hypervigilance, where the brain is constantly scanning for potential threats and assigning significance to even minor details due to an overactive "fight or flight" response. I think this is true... I keep thinking what is a realistic need. Most aren't important.
