Dcleaning lady is still doing her magic downstairs. I came upstair to get out her way. Trying to figure out what are priorities for me today. Rethinking "important" and retaining flexibility.

Today would be a good chance to take care of the dead plants, temp is dropping today but not bad right now. Use the wheelbarrow and pull them up.

Oops, need to go downstairs... Forgot to bring phone up.

Waving glad to read your posts today.
I was up on time before any autos woke me.
Got to see a lovely sunrise again.
Did some journaling. Got dressed & ate about all...

41*/50* F. today's temp. range.
I''ll be out bagging up more leaves in a diff. section of fence line today.
With mild temps. I've changed that goal.
I have bags and can add em to the trash in the coming weeks as it's already full.

So glad I did dishes last nite.
Pushing groc. shopping to later maybe next week.
I have food so nothing urgent.

Hi, everybody! (Especially blessed, who noticed me lurking.)

DD has been in, in her own words, chatterbox mode. (I'd say she had a nickel put in her.) I have been listening for over an hour without interruption because it is her birthday -- her 25th! (How did that happen?) She said something about time going in a spiral, which put me in mind of "The Windmills of Your Mind," which I haven't thought of in years. ("Like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel...")

First priority today is to get the grocery list done. Then some laundry. DD is going to a movie at 12:30 -- walking because she wants the walk, though I said I would drive her in this cold. After that, she will head to the faculty/staff Christmas party. She wants to hold off on birthday festivities till tomorrow. Originally, that was going to be partially because DC's theater group would be putting on a play today, and she had a 5:00 call time, but the play has been postponed -- the director has Covid. But we keep meatless Fridays, so she thought that would limit her choices. I've told her she doesn't have to keep meatless Fridays, but she does anyway. So dinner tomorrow it is. That will give me a chance to clear some of the things out of the sun room so I can put a card table in there for wrapping and open up the boxes that have been sent so I can see what's in them. Unfortunately, only half of what I intended to be DD's bday present has arrived; the other part is not due to arrive till Christmas Eve. So I will try to figure out which of her intended Christmas presents I will swap for it so she doesn't have a skimpy b'day. I told her she could ask for the moon for her b'day, since DC's bday gift was concert tickets that ended up requiring me to drive far out of my comfort zone, but she didn't want much.

I am going to scrounge up some lunch, then I will get back to that shopping list. I have the preliminary list made, but I need to check what we already have.

I puttered around a bit upstairs, did a little clean up, a little put away, a little thinking on birthday cards instead of Christmas. Finally realized I hadn't eaten (although I had coffee with milk) so came downstairs to eat healthy breakfast. Since I'm downstairs, I'll bundle up and go out to pull up dead plants. I might get a burst of energy for putting pansies into the planters (I still have some) but it's mid forties with temp dropping so I won't sweat it if I don't.

I'm enjoying not to-do listing myself today. I had things to do out of the house Mon-Wed. then went out voluntarily for errands yesterday. It's nice to be home.

And....In my ADHD state I didn't get this posted, and I bet it didn't take 20 minutes. Pansies are out in the planters by the porch steps. I had to get help to pull up the asparagus ferns. (Dneighbor pulled up as I was working and I got his help, there were only two of them.) They love it there and the root ball is huge and tenacious about wanting to stay in the pot. I'm going to ask dh to take care of the pot by the garage. Have to use hand trowel to dig down to cut some of the roots, then manhandle it out. If he'll do that tomorrow, I'll call it done and not fill that planter for winter. It's way late anyway.

I managed to order groceries, here between 4 and 6.

Oh Mystery… I love that some Windmills of your mind and just asked Alexis to play it for me thanks!

I am home. Went to my coffee gathering, spoke to several Asso people who work for our community about the removal of our front yard tree and the huge algae bloom in my lake. From there I went to the library to return books and get new one.

Stopped at the WM grocery store for a few needed things. From there I had my car washed and then dropped off two artificial Cmas trees. Got home, unloaded the groceries and put them away. Made my lunch of cottage cheese and fruit.

Once I finish, I’m going to reward myself and read for awhile.

Growing up, We never watched the old Cmas Tv shows or movies so I am not particulary fond of them. My son never liked them as well. Sweetie does enjoy a few, but has shown no interest in them this year.

I am done,’done, done and hope y’all will be too so y’all can enjoy time with your family and friends.
