Re: Friday, It's Friday, not (fill in the day of the week you think it is!)
A few days' supply of grab-n-go sandwiches made for DS16 and friends. 18 sandwiches made from 6 large hoagie bread from deli, 4 lbs of multiple kinds of sliced meat, about 3 dozen slices of cheese. DD13 doesn't eat these so I put all of them in DS16 refrigerator.
I have set out the monthly pill organizer containers for DH twice daily meds. I am taking a break and then will start the process of filling them.

Re: Friday, It's Friday, not (Tues.) I thought yesterday was Mon.
CI / Was i up in the nite could not sleep.
Thoughts running in my brain.
So I got up did my QT listened to my my Bible app. 3 ch. for today.
Did my planning & journaling.
Went back to bed till 8:00.
Got up to my Rx alarm.
It is pouring down rain out side.
Realized I got the wrong creamer sigh so I may be heading out at some point for the right one.
But I can do some of things I have in the house ch. / & a vanilla one.
Trying to work out a new knitting pattern for a triangle shaped shawl.
Have done several false starts learning as I go.

I've s2s and tidied bedroom.
I washed the kitchen and bathroom floors. Cleaned two toilets (dh does his.) Mopped parts of the hardwood under things that may be missed by the vacuum if I'm not on my hands and knees with the dusting attachment. Vacuumed the office and bedrooms so that weekly chore is finished. Ate breakfast. Read a chapter of a book. Talked on the phone with dd until dgd(almost)6 pinched dgs8 in the groin with her gripper tool. So she is still a challenge (but one with good manners.)
Need to book the blood draw appointment.
Edited to add:
Can't book something today, their waitlist is full and they have a 55 minute estimated wait time. But there's another one 20 minutes away that is only a 24 minutes wait. I can book in while driving in the car and arrive close to when I'll be taken. Must go drink water now.

Back home. How did I list my errands and not list the bank? I had to circle back for that stop after I had gone right past it earlier. Got copies of Nov bank stmt which I never received (it goes to temple first) and the Dec bank statement so I can go ahead and reconcile that. I also verified that the administrator at temple must give me the online access to the cemetery account. She says it's not on the list of accounts she has online, but it it. Another bank person had told me a long time ago it was up to her to add me for online access, so I had conflicting information.
Other errands went well and house is clean!

Re: Friday, It's Friday, not (fill in the day of the week you think it is!)
I am intrigued. I have been doing some lite research into vehicles that can drive themselves. I know there a loads of technicall words that are used to describe he different vehicle models and self driving capabilities. I'm not attempting to learn them until I get serious about purchase. I am interested in purchasing a self-driving vehicle but everything I have found has a deal breaker. I just learned enough to know the self-driving capabilities that I want aren't available yet. DS16 was driving a 2025 Ford top of the line vehicle this morning and was telling me what it could do and can't do (self driving).I can book in while driving in the car
ANYway, I'm not even sure what I researched/heard is true. If I thought it was possible to do what I want then I would get serious about researching
** some self driving vehicles will only go up to 59mph. That is a deal breaker for me. About 90% of roads I drive are 65-80mph.
** The cybertruck that blew up this week said it couldn't have self driven itself to hotel if the driver was already dead. Self driving requires continual eye contact.
** some self driving models will only do interestate driving. They don't have the capability of doing country roads yet.
I made some chicken fried steaks for family lunch.

I have to open the boxes in front of the house

having the saffron veg soup I made last week - mom and dh do not like saffron so I am eating it
it's full of veggies so I know that's good.

Re: Friday, It's Friday, not (fill in the day of the week you think it is!)
Good afternoon! I can’t tell what day it is at all! Is it Thursday, because I have to clean the fridge today since garbage day has been pushed to tomorrow, like Cathy’s? Is it Monday, because DH is back at work? (I was all set to take DD to work but then remembered she’s not back yet.)
I need to go flip wash. I’ve got a sweater in there I want to wear later today. (Fortunately, it can be machine dried.) We have a wake to go to before DC’s play. I am currently wearing all black, which seems a bit much for a wake where I am not one of the mourners. I am currently wearing it because it is warm and clean.
I’m so glad things went well yesterday and today, Harriet. I had to laugh at your DH needling you to get your blood pressure up.
LadyM, the fire sounds so scary! I do hope they’re able to get it out before the winds come.
Winter has returned here. When driving DC to the college, it was not snowing, but there were four different places where police cars were diverting traffic into another lane. Didn’t get a good look because I was driving, but I’m guessing it was due to vehicles sliding off the road because the temperature is below freezing, so things are slicker than one might expect.
DH is home early. I guess with so few people in, there wasn’t too much for him to do. The wake we are going to is for the mother of a woman from our church who also works at DH’s school. We are aiming to get there as soon as it starts so I can go in and not have to stand in line too long. If the line’s too long, I will have to send in DH for the both of us.
I’m not sure what to do about dinner. I was going to put a crock pot on, but I don’t think there’s enough time now. I’ll ask what he thinks. Maybe there’s something we can get started and have DD supervise while we’re at the wake, so we can all eat before the play. Or maybe we will go out after.

Re: Friday, It's Friday, not (fill in the day of the week you think it is!)
had to have a boundary chat with mom in a nice way. The cleaning angels are here and mom says that I should tell the ladies that she is praying for them having to clean my house -
she thought she was funny -
it was awkward bc the ladies heard her. then she kept asking what the ladies think - whispering to me but loud.
thank goodness I know I am okay - I am not that little child or young adult anymore. She is the one who feels embarrassed even when things are ok. It's never been about me. Her "what will people think" is about her own insecurities. It has to be hard to be a perfectionist.
