part of me wants you to have a tape recorder so your brother can fully understand, but how do you plan for such a thing, and it's only criticizing your own about things you wouldn't want a record. I'm pretty sure he doesn't really doubt you anyway. I'm thinking, but if there were easy answers, someone would have come up with them already, wouldn't they?

CI / I've taken a break from my project.
Declawing paper I have done hours of shredding and the can is 3/4 the full of bags of shredded paperwork.
Glad for the progress however.

Glad for that done and a break it's F. 38* outside and cloudy here.
I had some soup & hydrated.

I do have a couple of batches left to do was going to walk but it's pretty chilly outside.
Talked briefly to my dsis it would have been mom's bday. I'd totally forgotten that.

my mom remembers this morning - she said (for now) that she will react in being more polite - she wanted to bring it up again and I let her say anything she was thinking - she asked if she could stay here. it will change again and again. She will be mean to me but I dont' have to go down that road.

At least the whole family talked and we have a hopeful plan until things change again. Day by day. Their goal is that it doesn't change who I am personally or physically. I don't like confrontations but I also know that logic or compromise is something that can work in this situation.

yesterday we had a wonderful time with dh's family - they had invited dh for a trip with the guys in November and I just heard about it last night - dh is not going but it was nice they asked. We truly had wonderful! dd and d mom had a great time too.

d harriet -thank you! I think I am going to tape somethings for us to figure out how to work in certain situations. I do agree that everyone is just trying to come up with answers. I found as a care taker for my family members, before, that it's hard for others to comprehend what is truly going on if they are not in it. my dad didn't want to believe his mom had alzheimers bc she was sharp as a tack with him. It wasn't until two years into helping my grandmother I asked for my dad's brother to help. About a month later she was in assisted living apartment. (and it was a locked building/floor)

I really want to learn from what I do that may cause problems for mom or others. I have asked all to tell me if they see something that I might not be aware of so that we can discuss the next best hopeful option.

This past week I have totally organized ALL jewelry, all bookmarks and tweaked both numerous times. I have another bag to go to the thrift store and a few more pieces for the jewelers.

But pots/pans/large utensils... um, no. All clean laundry is away, though. I have made supper every night. I've even spot mopped as necessary, watered plants and swept some cat fur tumbleweeds. Let all the cats in or out numerous times.

Dh says I look tired. I think I'm going to bed too early. I know I'm getting up far too early. I just wish I knew how to turn off the youngest cat's alarm clock. I won't let them out until 7:30, but the youngest cat has other ideas.

Blessed…sweetie was getting snarly and nasty to me a while back. I talked with his dr about it and he prescribed meds for Sweetie which helped. He would flip on me from day to day… nice one day, nasty the next. The meds made a huge difference with him and he is seldom nasty to me any more.
Dr said this is part of the disease. Know you’ve dealt with Alzheimer’s in the past but may be you didn’t encounter this kind of behavior towards you back then … hugs dear

Cathy, I consider bookmarks at least as much as you do - they are necessities, important. Yet, you can get bogged down with ones that aren't really up to the task or up to being company-ready, lol.

I think (knock on every wooden thing) that the nausea is receding, leaving mostly the fatigue today.

Today was the first since Tuesday that my weight has been slightly up - not a whole pound but not losing ground.

Have cleaned the master bath's toilet and area around, taken trash out from bathroom. Just huge from how much work I've been able to do.

But most of the time that has been productive was spent sewing (slowly, lol) because it is seated work. My legs get weak after I'm up a long time. Cutting out curvy parts of the little project, tedious. But it makes my brain work.

My ambition is that I will make sandwiches to add to supper. Pickles should be on our list. I find myself wanting better sandwiches around here, with good fixin's, so bread-and-butter pickles should be in the house, if not dill. Just pondering food without saying "eewww" encourages me.

Harriet I have been told that smelling some rubbing alcohol helps with nausea. I haven't tested it myself. Also, regarding the bookmarks, I either tossed or donated more than half and kept my favourites. I have some nice leather ones from Florence, Italy. Why am I using generic, free bookmarks from the book store when I could be using the nice ones. I also have some other nice ones that are keepers. Including a pile of Canadian Tire money.

I have spent some time in the kitchen doing large utensils and sharp knives while listening to the football game. Buffalo won their game against Denver. Now another game is just starting.

I did a more shredding and got 75% to 95% done. Yea!
I have walked ddoggo.
The rig that had not been driven the last so glad it started and drove it on the loop I take for that.
Happy to be home again safely.
Happy with my progress now I'll cook my egg forgot it this morning when I had my lunch.

thank you d rose - mom doesn't have a dr. here yet bc we thought she would be going back - she wants a concierge dr. but that's more a downtown Chicago or Naples Florida thing. She had a great one in Naples but he moved with his young family moved to orcas island.
She had a concierge dr. when she would be home for the summer here but he also retired. I don't like dh's dr. too busy and not very good. She is a good middle man.

tomorrow we see her heart dr. and he said he might have a dr. for her. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

she is on a anti depressant but I am hoping there is something else that will help - Thank you for sharing - I don't want her to be lethargic but there may be a better way.

thank you again for sharing - It really helps me a lot. This is a new behavior for me. Also the not changing or cleaning up is a really new thing as well. (esp for my mother).

We are back home, we always have a great time being with A and V. She pulled soups and stuff out of refrigerator and we just reheated what we wanted. Since I had just had breakfast I ate a little bread and cheese and a small slice of quiche.

On the way home we went by the new workout place. He was there working with a couple of others getting the place ready. Far fewer machines and not set up nicely like the other place was, but it will do. The owners at the old place apparently had said the would sell equipment to him, and they changed their mind. I felt weird about it way back because he didn't have a contract in place. He's bought new equipment but not as well equipped as before. Perhaps that will generate more creative workouts - I was feeling stale with him before. My first workout there is tomorrow at two.

OTOH, dh is having issues since changing to another trainer close to home, so I'm probably in a better place than he is.

Lots of shredding going on Nancy. Does your shredder overheat?

So glad that things are cautiously looking up, Harriet. Love the Tobias and HRH story, Harriet. Cat saliva has a lot of bad stuff in it, tho, hope the mousie didn't get enough to cause an infection. S/he might need antibiotics?

So nice that bw2 and RR can commiserate and compare. There's lots of wisdom and support in our village.

Can't believe you've reorganized your house Cathy, and i still have stuff in the garage to donate from the fall. As for the kitty, one of our dogs used to wake me up early for his breakfast. I often shoveled the food into the bowl and went right back to the still warm bed. Maybe it's not breakfast but company he wants, tho.

I hope you can all get on one page with your dmom, bw2. Her behavior is so changeable it's hard to know what is needed. I was going to say the exact same thing as Harriet:
