Magical Monday PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

It's Magic! It's a start-over, every week, right on schedule, we have a chance to start over! What will you do differently this week? How will you magically make things happen? (Smoke and mirrors, permitted, of course!)

We're all Magicians today!

Good morning my good magicians! Welcome to the circus, lol!

I have two appointments today - body work this morning for my achy body, and my first workout back this afternoon. We're going with brats for our supper - chicken noodle soup is available as a side, or I might make a salad if I'm inspired.

Gotta get going. Dh took ddog for walk earlier so I'll walk her after body work. She won't be happy, but it's Monday and I'm taking my sweet time this morning.

LOL!! One of my last thoughts as I fell asleep last night was "I have all the lotions and potions, so why aren't I using them?" I was thinking about all of the moisturizers (dry skin) and cleansers (oily face) and polysporin for a paper cut on my hand. So, if this isn't a magical Monday, then I don't know what qualifies! Thanks for that marvelous start, plus the good laugh to start my day.

I also tried something a bit different with our little four legged alarm clock. I shut her out of the bedroom this morning as soon as she started meowing to wake us up. Dh got up to go to the bathroom and he let her out a while later.

I need to finish getting ready because my car will need to be warmed up this morning. We have some large, fluffy flakes floating down to the ground. Lovely to look at though.

I hope I can have a magical reset. I've coming off several slug days in a row.

Light, chocolate and tea are done. Chatted with dgrands at the London Transportation Museum so they could show me it. Sent dd the picture of her at the same museum, age 2.5 so she could show the kids. It just occurred to me that I probably have a second picture from when she was older and I took her and ds. Will go look for that.

Paid an online bill. Printed off the receipt so I can be compensated. Talked with the co-president of the community association about adding me to the Google Workspace account now that I'm the secretary so I can post documents.

We are getting up to 4" of snow today on top of a couple of inches overnight. No view right now.

Poor dh is having another ocular migraine. He has been drinking 500ml of water every morning faithfully and hasn't had one since he started doing so. He thought he'd found the trigger.

I’m sorry about your DH, Kathryn. I hope he feels better soon. Likewise, Twins, I hope your body work does its job!

Where are you headed, Cathy? Or does the car just need to be warmed up for its own sake (keep the battery from draining or whatever)?

It’s time for me to put my kids to work. I think we will be looking further at driving schools and contacting them as to when their next sessions start.

dearest Lucy -, right now, you are overwhelmed by your feelings about your biopsy. I do think you need to talk to a therapist - I know it has helped me.
you are temporarily stuck in fear. right now you don't feel you can move forward; fear for you is all encompassing right now. This is a temporary. it really is! it is a circle of thought.
you don't need to make any changes - you don't need a man in your life, you are perfect here - you are kind and you are interesting you are just overwhelmed. you can't see past this time.
praying!

Give yourself grace!!!

Bedroom furniture is dusted and polished and that room and other parts of the apartment stink now. I really need to buy a polish that doesn't make me sick. This one is Orange-Glow wood cleaner/polish.

I also have vacuumed the bedroom wing (and dusted the stuff that doesn't get polished. The bedroom was really, really, bad, with distinct outlines left behind when I removed items.

I also changed the sheets on the bed and the dirty ones are washed and put away.

Next to be tackled, the living room. Parts are as dusty, but most isn't all that bad since I dusted the surfaces after removing Christmas decorations.

Good morning bw2! You have a win already, there must be magic afoot at your house.

I had body work, and came back in and walked ddog two laps. I have a little more than an hour before I need to leave to workout. I need to finish a.m. routine. I wasn't that hungry before I left so ended up with half my omelet, which I just finished.

And an hour later maybe: I finished a.m. routine, cleaned CPAP equipment, and I'm dressed for workout. I also straightened MBR and bath, Put away the clothes that dh folded but left on the dresser, including the cotton turtlenecks that hang up instead of being folded. I'm thrilled he's folding tho, I really hate it for some reason.

I should leave in 15 minutes or so. Will take 20 min to get there instead of 15 to the old place.

Kathryn, there must be magic at your house! I'm impressed with your magic tricks!
