Re: Ta Da! It's Tuesday PWYC
Just read this and wanted to share, especially with blessed and Rose. It’s an exchange between two Franciscan sisters, one with Alzheimer’s and the other her caretaker. The sister with Alzheimer’s still has enough language skill to give a good description of what she’s going through. I hope the link works; there may be a paywall that I don’t see because I’m a subscriber.https://tinyurl.com/AlzSisters

Re: Ta Da! It's Tuesday PWYC
I have sorted the paperwork to sort.
I am glad to say I got one more round done then...
Walked then lunched here with on hands foods.
Did one more round of shredding done after lunch.
I got the sorting done on the next batch.
I have another stack of pages to shred apx. 1"
On a break again now.
The desk is cleaned out.
Did some rounds of sorting and shredding this afternoon.
So glad I think I'm at the end of it now.
Not easy but way past time for it!
I did a PUPA after and got the main part of the house back in to shape now.

Re: Ta Da! It's Tuesday PWYC
I guess I've had a little bit of ta-das to report --
* Changed sheets -- well, still in process --
* Went to bank for dmom, deposited rent check, ordered new checks
* Took dmom to doctor (check-up with surgeon) HOORAY -- he has released her, saying, "Everything sounds fine, if you need me you know where I am."
* Went to drug store, got Rx they left out yesterday and print out of expenses for tax man
* Home... read the paper...
* talked to Dcousin -- wanted to make sure none of her bunch was playing ball tonight, before I asked daunt to go to dgd's game -- daunt told me to let her know when DGD played at their school, but I know daunt could possibly get mixed up about whether she had obligated herself to go to one of her own great-grands' games. I will call daunt in a little while -- I'm supposed to pick up DS/family in an hour.
* answered some texts from dfriends who wanted to know time for my procedure tomorrow -- I had put a prayer request out to closest friends and family on FB, had another friend offer to go with me. (Even though that makes me nervous, it's really nice that they care enough.)
It means a lot that you ladies are thinking of me, too. I know it's probably silly of me to get so worked up about all this, but when a medical professional says the words, "very painful" and "biopsy" in the same sentence... sheesh... not to mention it is in an extremely awkward place to get to anyway... I have a horror and a phobia about being in that position anyway! Once they put that speculum in, it always crosses my mind that WHAT would I do if they walked out and left me there? HOW would one remove that thing if left to her own devices? Gynecological equipment is another name for torture devices anyway. I wish they would just put me to sleep.
Harriet, you have such a way with words --
LadyM, if my ddil didn't know me so well, she would describe me as a social butterfly. I always want to talk to everyone at gatherings like that, too. Like my ddad, I've been known to stop at a table in a restaurant and have a conversation. However, planning a trip like you are considering with friends... nope... that's when I kick in to hermit mode.
That is very interesting that you have two friends with this foot problem too! Apparently dmom's feet aren't as unusual as I thought. I am just thankful that so far, I have shown no signs of inheriting this particular trait.
We are also expecting a return of cold weather next weekend also. Today it was around 50 degrees. I need to turn off the dripping faucet, I guess. There is still snow on the ground in lots of places -- I've always heard if it lays three days, there will be another within 7-10 days.
(((blessed))) I'm so sorry you're feeling down. You've had a lot to deal with lately. Maybe you need a night to retire to your bed early with a snack and a good book or magazine.
(((Twins))) That HOA business sounds like a huge pain in the you-know-what!
Waving to you all! Hope you have a good evening.

No, I am not expecting a delightful experience... but maybe I can go to Chick-Fil-A afterwards.very pleased thoughts, because you are finding out, getting info, making sure of paths. It won't be a delightful experience, but it will get you to the next point with knowledge and sensible help from the pros.

Yes, Lucylee. It is!
I've been sorting out going forward and have it worked out, I hope. Right now I'm checking emails and pasting in corrections in QuickBooks. Tomorrow I will start generating invoices, and when I've done all 70 or so will email them.
I refilled all of my meds boxes and I'm eating some of the chicken soup from Saturday.
Tomorrow dh and I have an appointment at his office at nine a.m. I'll have to hustle to get there.

I am joining the SHE group that will be headed to a morning appointment tomorrow. I will do a normal trip of taking DD13 to school at 7:30 then leave home again at 9am to take DH to his eye appointment in the city.
(((LucyLee))) Sending you prayer and calm thoughts for tomorrow.

Yes, Lucylee, repeating LadyM's words. We will all be thinking of you tomorrow.
I updated all the email addresses. Actually, there were very few that were even entered in QB. I downloaded the neighborhood directory to Excel and hid what I didn't need, and cut and pasted emails one by one so I didn't make a mess of them!
I'm heading toward the bed to read. I had a long list for today that didn't get touched so I have the start of a list for tomorrow.

Thank you ALL sooo much!
I’m thinking now… in less than 13 hours, this part will all be over! The waiting on results will be hard too, but good or bad, they’ll probably put me to sleep if they have to remove anything.
Just got back from dgd’s game. We lost — 4-2.
8&under is not a high-scoring league.
My aunt went with us — she lives right across the road from the school.

Re: Ta Da! It's Tuesday PWYC
I just added another 'thing' to Jan 23. I'll have to overcharge the car because I have an 8:30 a half hour away, then home to set up the Stuff Swap, then 45 minutes to the Doctor, then home for dinner and clean up the stuff swap, then nap until I have to drive to the airport to get dd and family and take them home.
The ta-da's for today include the weekly kitchen chores and making a complicated dish (Canadian Shepherds Pie) for dinner. I've also added a dozen activities to the apartment complex's facebook and google pages.
Now to head to bed, I have an 8 a.m. errand tomorrow morning.

I think that place still has the "Ice Dream", lucylee, and you can get chocolate syrup on it.
I hard-boiled a half-dozen eggs and made six deviled eggs, egg salad for a couple small sandwiches out of the rest.
Went over my upcoming appts, planned what forms I need to fill out online, put them into planner on post-its, since everything's written in pencil, really. I was so sure I would have to cancel an appt that will be on the "same day as tomorrow" on my next cycle. I'll wait and see how I feel tomorrow before I do. It would be easier to get it over with. Main infusion dr told me they're going to schedule a scan, but so far I've heard nothing. I hope they don't think I'm going to voluntarily schedule one myself, lol. I imagine someone has dropped a ball.
