Do you just bluntly tell her, or are you trying to be tactful with her?
I started with being tactful but now it is blunt. After being gentle about this issue I brought it to DD13 counselor. I asked DD13 today if any of the teacher have talked with her about her body odor and she said they haven't. I have heard from other students that DD13 stinks.
** Is this just a normal teenage phase...... if so then it will resolve itself
** Is this because of previous abuse .... I am 99.9% sure no one is bothering her now. Is this a method to prevent?
** Is this because of some autism thing that I am clueless about. She says she is not sensitive to water touching her.
** Is this because she has low self esteem. She seems happy and lighthearted 99.9% of the time.
** Is this some sort of rebellion toward DD47? DD47 makes DD13 sit in bathtub of water for 30 minutes when she stays there. DD13 hates baths and takes shower here. .....well....she is SUPPOSE to take a shower everyday AND USE SOAP. Recently I checked the shower walls after DD13 left her bathroom and only one shower wall was wet. I asked her how that was possible and she admited that she just turned the water on but didn't get into the shower
If I knew the cause, then it would be easier to come up with a solution.
I have provided all the tools I can think of....took DD13 to Bath & Body shop and encouraged her to pick out everything that she liked. She seemed excited about doing that and picked several body washes in her favorite fragrances.
DD13 now has an assortment of female wipes and one time washcloths available.
I feel like I am missing something but i just don't know what I don't know. DD13 counselor is also thinking hard on this because she called to talk to me about the possible causes/solutions after DD13 last appointment.
Sorry for this becoming so long. I am clueless and frustrated to not be able to help DD13.
