Have a Magical Monday

Post by CathyS »

Is it time to try a new trick to get something done? What sort of magic are you performing around your home today?

Ta da!! I'm back! It looks like all of the rest of you are here as well.

Dh and I watched 2 football games yesterday. One had an outcome dh liked. The second game, not so much. Dh is a Bills fan. He used to live across the bridge from Buffalo. It was a really good game, though.

My magic trick for this morning will be to get to knitting on time. I am up for hours before I have to leave, but that last hour goes faster than the rest somehow. It's going to be a rough day weather-wise, with wind gusts "up to" 100 Kilometers. I can hear the wind. We are also expecting snow later. Ah, well... it's January in Canada.

Today will be magical because I’ll be home! We’re in ATL. Flight home delayed a little but hoping all will be okay. We were up at 5, I slept some on last flight but a nap sounds real nice right now.

9:15 am
time to start my day - mom is slowly waking up.

I got a good stethoscope in - I have had a stethoscope for years and years and it doesn't owe me a thing- it helped a lot with dh and even the girls. - I used it to hear when lungs sounded rough or crackly - to get ahead of pneumonia. dh was vulnerable 15 years ago. For mom - it's a cardiac one that can help me hear her heart when the afib is crazy. I can also tell with the pulse ox - you can see her heart rate jumping all around like yesterday.

time for my card file!

Good morning!

Cathy - Thank you for getting us started today.

I'm doing persistent & consistent baby steps to get through my daily list. If I look at the entire thing, then I get overwhelmed but just doing the next small step seems easy.
** My personal AM care done including washing hair.
** Bible study and suduko game
** DD13 delivered to school including taking extra time brushing her hair. I have a plan forming to improve DD13 hair care.
** Breakfast cooked (eggs, bacon, bagels, hot link, potatoes)
** Homeschool with DS16 accomplished. He was finished by 10:30 and out the door to work.
** Bathrooms cleaned, and all floors swept. Some spot mopping happened too.
** Meat pulled out of the freezer to thaw in anticipation of cooking it later today. Chicken breast tenderloins, shrimp, smoked sausage and ground beef. I'm not sure what I will make with these yet.
** Food pulled out of the pantry to cook later today. Marconi and Velveeta will be combined for a guaranteed teen pleaser dish. Italian Green beans for a side.
** Curb side order list is in progress. One order for Sam's and one order for WMart. Tomorrow is DD13 counselor appt in the city, so I want to utilize the trip as much as possible.
Stay curious. Challenge assumptions. Success loves persistence.
