Good Morning!

A new month. I just read this about February fresh start.

Yesterday and last night was full of old vehicle drama. DS16 brought his much loved 2005 duramax home after being in worked on for a couple months in mechanic shop. The rear end seems to be working well now. Multiple teens were here working on water pump...which they discovered isn't the problem....then tracing down where the problem is...hours and hours of effort. They moved the duramax from our shop to a mentor shop so 2 mentors could help DS16 find the problem. At 10:30 last night DS16 called asking me to unlock the back door because he and girlfriend walked home through the neighborhood. DS16 dejectedly declared the duramax motor is fried. I didn't question him in detail because he had to get girlfriend to her home to meet her 11pm curfew.
Never ending old vehicle drama continues to happen here.

Today is dress up day for DS16 and girlfriend. They have their dress clothes ready and are looking forward to the experience. But first, they will spend the day in the big city malls. That is DS16 girlfriend request for how to spend her 15th birthday. Girlfriend family will travel in their vehicle to the big city while DS16 and girlfriend travel separately. After hours of doing that the teens will return home, get dressed up and go out to eat at a nice restaurant tonight.

I am truly exhausted and have the beginning of a migraine
heading to take a tylonel - make mom's breakfast and maybe go back to sleep.

Life lessons, LadyM? Poor ds, time and $$ and now this, definitely a learning experience. And thank you for the article - yes, learning and moving forward.

Dh is at Torah study but will be back through soon, I think. He is bowling this afternoon - practice for the state bowling tournament next weekend. And tonight we having dinner with friends A & V, assuming she feels well enough. She has been off this week - a virus that has hung on.

I've piddled this a.m. I checked balance on cemetery account and wrote a check to transfer $$ to endowment. I'll need to drop it off next week. Also cleaned out box of papers on counter - pulled out paid bills to file and tax documents and filed those. Washed dh's pants that he got dirty while grilling - stains came out.

I have to finish the grocery list today. Dfriend K wants me to come over and join her and her sister crafting this afternoon. (I know her sister; she could really use a buffer.) And DH wants me to go to tonight’s hockey game, since I didn’t go last night. I’d really rather go curl up in the comfy chair and doze off, but that doesn’t do anybody any good, including me. I guess I’ll text K and find out what time she’s talking. Have a good one!

Ooh! I missed that TwinsDad is bowling well enough to participate in a state tournament. Way to go!

dh of course has decided to be upset bc mom is w it and cleaning - she is doing a beautiful job - she cleaned the dining room table and it upset him - she moved something but he doesn't now what - he came and complained in the front room where I am resting - he sits in here during the day even though he has the master bedroom, an office, and the dining room-he also takes the front room - dd came and talked to him to relax and let mom help w the work. she suggested that if he is upset he can go on his computer in the master bedroom which is is - the master is 17 by 15 w a walk in closet a dressing area and a bathroom. I have to admit his behavior put me in tears probably bc im tired and fighting a migraine - at least moms been nice and helpful. he doesn't do cleaning work normally anymore so I am appreciative that mom is doing it while I rest.

LadyM…sounds like your ds is experiencing a lot of life lessons recently. I hope he has a magical time tonight with his GF.

I had another procedure on my arm this morning… ugh. Then I came home and started my laundry and Einstein. He is busy buzzing around my feet!

Sweetie and I are going out tonight with friends for a dinner and a show…the Buddy Holly Story.
