Hello!
Dmom and I made it to her 7:00 a.m. appointment -- vascular something -- she said it was like getting your blood pressure checked in your legs. They put a cuff-like thing on her legs and checked all the way down to her feet. This will show if she has enough blood flow to make her suitable for surgery on her feet.
I slept only about 2 hours before the appointment... kept watching movies last night. Mr. Holland's Opus -- which had me boo-hooing all the way through (but I love that movie)... then the 1960s version of The Miracle Worker, with Anne Bancroft and Patty Duke as Helen Keller (I actually like the newer version better, where Patty Duke plays Anne Sullivan)... and then the last 3/4s of The Help (Another favorite. I also love the book). I knew dmom would keep me awake enough to drive to and from the hospital in Next Town, so I wasn't worried about that. Then I came home, got breakfast at McD's, ate, and slept another 3 hours. So I'm at about 5.5 hours sleep right now.

I'll go outside in a bit, Twins, and get the garbage can, so that's a little bit of moving & exercising. It IS warm here -- 73 and clear for me today.

Man came and paid the rent...
I have 2nd load of laundry in the washer... AND
I made an appointment to have the new internet installed, with plans to cut the cord (landline phone and dsl internet with a t & t).
Talked to ds for a little while; dgs started throwing up at school and he had to go get him. He got sick last night on the way home from eating at Moe's (Mexican). We ended the night with Krispy Kream doughnuts and dgs added hot chocolate to his evening, so we thought that might be the cause of his troubles... but no, maybe he has a stomach virus? Friend at Sunday School said there is something going around in our area -- she works at the hospital where I took dmom today, and she says lots of Flu Type A as well as a stomach virus.

So glad you liked the new doctor, blessed! I hope your mom liked him (her?)

(((Mystery))) OUCH! That is rough, having such a hard time getting back up! I'd be curled up in my chair, too!

I'm hungry but it's kinda early for supper. I don't know what I want, anyway. Might eat leftover spaghetti from last night.

All teachers have those days, LadyM! I bet ds had a big SIGH when you realized you had left out some of the assignments. ;)

Rose, happy anniversary, and the very best of good wishes for the year(s) ahead.

Waving to EVERYONE!!!
Tomorrow is another day.

I worked out and am tired! Decided to order take out from fav restaurant tonight - special tonight is eggplant parn. I'll need to head out to pick it up in about 15 minutes. The dog and walked two laps - somehow I didn't get many steps at my workout although I walked ten minutes on treadmill. I did some cardio on recumbent bike and eliptical too.

My energy has been pretty low today. I realized I was pretty social yesterday - breakfast with ds and dh, then trip to Costco with dh, then spent the afternoon at the river on the deck with dfriend V. Last night - after I was reading, dfriend M down the street texted to see if I wanted to come down there to enjoy their new "fire table." They have it on their patio and it's very pleasant - wine and a fire to admire. I was there a couple of hours. Dh got home not long after I did - he was bowling.

Mystery, glad that it was primarily your pride that was hurt - be careful on ice!

We have daffodills pushing up here - some of them have been peeping out of the ground for awhile because of warm spells we've had. I think that some erosion has probably left them in more shallow ground.

Bw2, glad you like your mom's new doc. Nice to have lunch out with her too - nice change of routine for her.

Rose, I'm glad you found H&Fitness. I still don't know what I did to misplace it! And great job on steps - you must be feeling quite well!

LadyM, lol on the new month. Things slip up on us, don't they?

I'm heading out now - it's close and they have parking designated for take out pickups. Just pull in and someone comes out to get your name and then bring it out.

Will have to read Lucylee's post later - but glad to see Harriet peeking in. So sorry you're feeling so week this time around, hope things can be changed out to give your body a little break.

I am starting to wind down my daily doings. I haven't completed all of the daily tasks (yet?) because much of my time today was spent on creating lesson plan and assignments for DS16 homeschool for the month of February. I went down a rabbit hole looking for AI curriculum. I ended up creating some assignments for DS16 to use AI. I suspect showing him the basics and then getting out of his way as he finds more ways to utilize it. Young people learn so fast when they are interested.

Speaking of youth being interested..... At this moment, we have 3 teenage boys in our shop removing the injectors from DS16 Duramax. Have they ever done this? NO. But it is difficult to not believe in their ability to do it when you can feel and hear their excitement and eagerness. They just brought one of the injectors in the house to show. Apparently the injector is good but they need to replace the o-ring and then everything will be okay. I hope they are right. Either way.....life skills are happening.

I just gave DD13 three things to complete -
** Put your clean clothes away
** Empty your bathroom trash
** Take a shower

DD13 is not pleased with my new rule that her laptop has to stay out of the bedroom. If allowed, she would stay in her bed with the laptop 24/7. Last night she choose to sleep next to the laptop in the living room. Her laptop loses wifi access on school nights so she couldn't use it. I'm guessing just being next to it was sorta a silent protest. I don't think she realizes that she positioned herself in front of the living room camera. I checked the camera to make sure she was sleeping before I went to sleep.
Today the temperature was in the 80's with bright sunshine. I think we broke the record for warmest Feb 3rd on record. ANYway, this morning I told DD13 she wouldn't need a coat but she insisted on wearing a heavy parka coat with fur lined hoodie. I let it go this morning because I didn't want to start her school day with a conflict. However, when she got home from school I told her the heavy fur line parka could not be worn to school when the temps were in the 80's. She wasn't pleased but was respectful.

I recognize these are simple teenage happenings that are just a normal part of them finding their way. I am thankful for small problems.
