Spring-like Saturday PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

The temp here is heading to mid-seventies today - feels like spring even tho the sun isn't out. There's lots of birds twittering about their news, trees might be budding just a tiny bit, and the world feels all new. Even if you're still experiencing winter (snow today in the north?) Spring is coming!

Let's hear about all the way you're enjoying your day, and what challenges are hitting right now.

Winter Storm warning in effect here today. 23* / 32* F. Today's temps. range.
Up six - ish slept in on purpose today b/c the bed was warn!
First of the day stuff happened.

Bfast next soon as I decide what that will be.

Failed at one note book system I have too many projects that
require one for that one or this one or the other. Also failed at cards
but planner is still working for me.

I want to do up a diff. roll filled ones maybe today I have the stuff for it and
I enjoy that plus it will be great to have em in the freezer it's pretty bare.
A great activity for a winter-y day.

Hi, everyone.

I've finished watering the indoor plants.

Ddil texted on her way to Sam's Club and we added a few things to her order.

So we expect ds will drop by later.

We have been getting numerous storm warning over the past 24 hours.

I am trying to deal with long-time hot spots. You know the ones. You walk past an area and think "One day I should tidy that up." or "Maybe I should put that away somewhere." I even made a list of 2 things to deal with today. I moved all the books off the island and dh claims they were there for 2 months. Not quite. There were holiday things there until the beginning of January, but I didn't argue. Not worth discussing. Now I have a bunch of towels and a blanket from the top of the dryer where the books used to be. Some books got put away. I even threw out a satirical kind of book from the mid seventies. I just got it recently for less than $1. It was dated in it's ridiculousness. Time for letting go. I rarely throw out a book, so it took a while to come to that decision.

Good Morning!

I don't want to take the ability to come here for granted. I am thankful for this SHE village. (((Group Hug))) in appreciation for each of you.

When looking at my yearly chart for sleep it is very obvious that my daily sleep is longer during the winter months. That continues to happen. Last night sleep was 10 hours 5minutes. This is without any medication. I'm lousy at being able to take a nap, but can hold my own in sleeping ability at night. #Thankful

DS16 and I teamed up this morning to put together a birthday gift for one of his best friends that is turning 15. We moved here 9 years ago and these 2 boys have been hanging together since then. We share a fence with them and they are the best neighbors anyone could ask for.

DBro & DSisIL called with invite to eat at their home this evening. They said to bring the teens and their friends that usually hang around here. They have a separate building set up for their grandkids to hang out with a pool table, board games and well stocked drink refrigerator. I'm looking forward to this evening.

I didn't realize the north was getting winter weather this weekend! So sorry for my spring-like assumption here!

I've been puttering upstairs. Some stamping, some clean up, some genealogy. I'm looking forward to my day all alone!

LadyM, sounds like a fun evening for all! And I appreciate all of you here! I think it's normal to need more sleep in the winter - almost a hibernation/brumation response. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/brumation

Cathy, I have so many of those hot spots. Everytime I turn around I'm telling myself that I need to get at them. And now and then I do knock one out.

Glad ddil is going to Sam's, Harriet, and you can stock up on things. Is there a plan for your treatment going forward?

Happy Birthday LM
Wishing you fun at the birthday gathering & a year of blessings!

NO snow yet & fog lifted sun is peeking out so glad for that!
I have did my next journal.
reclaimed the kitchen after this mornings cooking adventures yea!
Got the trash out of here and in the can too.
Got dressed.

A breather before I do my next thing - deciding on that now...
One is to get outdated things out of fridge.

Did some time on my gazelle to get my step count up while I was in the basement doing up some laundry.
I luv that it helped just 10 min. on it.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. It isn't my birthday. We are celebrating the birthday of our 15 year old neighbor. He is in our home almost every day because of friendship with DS16.

Daily list is being followed by checking each item off as completed. Sometimes I forget the importance of doing the basics. It seems boring to do the same thing day after day. However, I am reminded how vital they are when I stop doing them.

Plan - no, not yet. I will have blood work on Monday and that will add to their knowledge, but it's the tests in big hospital Wednesday that will help most, then repeated blood work the next morning before treatment.

By the time ds could come, I was sound asleep in the bed. There was nothing at Sam's Club he could get us because we use small quantities, so he went by regular grocery for us. I was sorry I missed him.

Our skies are gray here. A little chilly, but not bad.
