Lunch with DFriends was treasured time spent together. Sharing good food was a bonus.

We are heading into about 48 hours of below freezing temps with winter mix expected. We are getting prepared for Valentine because we are not known for our ability to drive safely on ice or snow. I picked up Valentine gifts and treats for DS16 and DD13.

the mulch is too early but it does look lovely!

Mom was wobbly, doing the physical therapy, but did great and was very optimistic. She wasn't going to give in. She really needed the PT. she loved the young therapist and so did I. She has homework to do - I always love homework - lol I wish I liked homework as a young person 8-)

stomach is bothering me a bit. ginger ale in hand.

waving to all of you!

This is a cold, cold rain out there. I walked the dog a lap and I am still chilled to the bone. I'm having some of the beef barley soup for my supper, leaving the rest to dh for later. He came through on his way to bowling.

I've stamped a little and researched a little. I also took a short nap to get myself warm. I'm heading back upstairs. I have the heat turned up in that room. It's 44 out but my hands feel so cold!

Both rigs started.
Today it got up to 22*.
Clouds are coming in.
Trying a new recipe enough for me for a couple meals; 1/2 of a small crock pot.
Got my exercise circle closed doing the gazelle again today too cold to walk.
Dinner was early and a great!
Counting this afternoon a success.
I have done several extra days of home work on my 40 day project this week already it's the perfect time for it!

Warm thoughts for all who are facing cold. Quilts, sweaters, cozy spots.

Tomorrow, I know blessed faces worse conditions than us. All best wishes on the roads. We expect only cold rain, 97 percent chance heavy rain as we leave.

Our biggest concern is the place. Through lots of research we've learned that the parking deck we would normally depend upon is demolished. We'll be way too early for valet (or sunrise). Another has been built, but across a multi-lane street and then much further distance. I got a lady on the phone who advised that we park there at that new unknown deck, call for a shuttle bus, and wait. Then later in the day when time to leave we will need to take a shuttle bus again.

HRH is determined that he will drop me at main entrance and get me squared away there indoors. Then drive to that parking deck alone and come back in shuttle alone. No idea how long that will take him. if he does this, should I wait for him or ask to be taken to the right floor to be on time and hope he can figure out how to catch up with me. Sigh. He would simply walk even in the dark, but the rain will be pouring.

I have used these shuttle buses once. The first step is a doozy. Oh, boy. I have had a pretty good range of foods today and maybe keeping my strength up.

Going to get our little bags packed and ready now and go to bed early tonight. His tablet, some snacks, various things. Another silly thing I worry about is having enough morning water for good vein access, but when or where can I find a restroom... .. Silly. I may only drink on the way, but is that early enough for the veins. I have such a bruise from last time.

Oh. Good. Grief.
I, too, just lost a long post, Mystery. Sigh.

Suffice it to say, I will be praying for you, Harriet, as you and HRH manage tomorrow.

I did not tackle today very well, and I have laundry to put away before I go to bed.

Rescheduled dmom's appt tomorrow. We will likely be in a flash flood warning and possible severe storm watch. Neither of us want to deal with the parking and in/out of the hospital, just as you were talking about, Harriet. Dmom said she had lived with this problem a long time, she could manage a while longer. New appt is the day before my biopsy, and I figure I need to be busy that day anyway.

My internet is HORRIBLE. I am using my hotspot on my phone right now. On Chromebook. Hotspot would not link up with my desktop computer, even though DGS had it working over the weekend. TEN days until I change to the Flash Fiber which DS has. He has had it for some time now (couple of years, I think, at least) At that time, I will cancel my AT&T internet and my landline phone. I never imagined I would give up my landline, but by doing so, I expect to save approx $20-$25 a month.

Also, DS and I agreed to go together and talk to the accountant about the bonds. I may just end up handing them over to him and if I end up giving him matching funds for what we've already spent on him, so be it. I told him I didn't think $3000 a year would make the difference in whether I ate or not.

Hope you all have a good night.
Tomorrow is another day.
