Make your Sunday sweeter smelling!
Open a window and get some fresh air! Spray your fave scent in a shower curtain! Our homes are much more pleasant when they aren't stinky.

Re: Make your Sunday sweeter smelling!
First job on my list this morning was the litter box! After trying to open the door to let the cats out, I walked towards the bathroom and I realized that I forgot to clean the litter box yesterday! Now that is done, I realized that something else wasn't as fresh as it could be. Garbage bag is now at the back door. Third smelly place was in the fridge. I took everything out and wiped all the shelves. I have to put a box of baking soda in there and that will help absorb odors. No idea what the culprit was in the fridge, because there are no leftovers in there. I bought broccoli yesterday, which I will cook today, but I don't think that could be the source.
None of the cats went outside this morning, which is a very good thing because we have yet another storm here. Neither one of us have any plans to go anywhere today or tomorrow. The wind was pushing against the door and blew some snow in when I opened the door. All 3 cats backed away from the door when that happened. Now the snow is coming in from the east and all the trees are dancing. I don't even want to go out to the garage to get meat out of the freezer. I brought soda and water into the house last night knowing this was coming today.
A bakery that we go to occasionally even posted that they would be closed today. That is the first time in 10 years that they have closed ahead of time due to a storm. There is also a monthly pancake breakfast that posted that they are cancelling today's event.
Dh and I have agreed that we are going to be snuggled under the blankets doing some reading for a good part of the day. Right now there is curling on tv, so I'm going to join dh and watch this game.

Re: Make your Sunday sweeter smelling!
Hi Cathy! thanks for starting us out today! I have a nice smelling candle (strong, but lovely) in our powder room bath. It was too strong for me in the great room when we had a fire going but it's just right in there where it's cooler. And I love it when dcleaning lady lady is gone and the house smells faintly of cleaning.
When I used to sail, we called a day like today "blowing like stink." The wind is ferocious right now, surprised there aren't more electric outages. We had storms/rain overnight, cloudy now, and temp is dropping all day. It's a good day to be in, except for delivering food later.
I have to cook today. Yesterday I meant to do part of the cooking for the meal tonight, but didn't. So I'm on for today.
Lots of baby steps
-make tomato sauce
-make caramelized onion, mushroom mixture
-assemble lasagne
-bake lasagne
-bread in breadmaker = approx 3 hrs
-salad in baggies so can be assembled
-brownies to take for dessert

Re: Make your Sunday sweeter smelling!
Morning girls…
Cathy…when I was growing up I loved to go out in snow storms. Once I went out walking in my neighborhood with friends in a blizzard, it was a storm when we started. It got bad enough that my mom called the cops and they came looking for us. We were going from one’s friends house to another and not constantly out in it the entire time. Anyway he found us and drove us all home. We were all mad at our moms for doing that because we were having so much fun. It’s the only time time I’ve ever ridden in the back of a cop car… honest
I am waiting to hear from my son. I invited his family for dinner tonight, but yesterday he called to say he had sniffles. Wasn’t sure if it was allergies or not.
Twins I thought of you last night as I worked on my to-do list for today!

When I look out the west windows the snow is blowing from north to south. When I look out the east windows, the snow is blowing south to north. When I look out the south windows it's going east to west. Mother Nature is off her meds!! Actually, according to Ontario Storm Watch, we are officially having a blizzard. The Ontario Provincial Police are warning people to stay home and stay safe. The traffic camera website usually has pictures of highways conditions. Today there is a notice saying all lens are ice covered.
"Oh, the weather outside is frightful..." Yep!
I just made the bed, so dh said he's going to read. On the bed I just made.

Re: Make your Sunday sweeter smelling!
Good Morning!
Our internet is working again. #Thankful
Our weather includes bright sunshine for the next 2 days so it looks inviting even though it is cold. This week we will have 96 consecutive hours below freezing. I have my eyes planted on a week from Monday when the temperature is predicted to be 72F. Winter countdown is happening with 31 days away from Spring.
I am challenging myself to see how many of the daily tasks I can complete today.

Good Morning Gals!
I slept well and had good dreams one reminded me of a time we were camping at a cabin.
The smell of wood stove was there. In my dream was with gals at a diff. lodge and had to walk out
I was packing my bag.
It is 33* & snowing big flakes outside now 100% chance of snow today we got 1" over nite and snow on the street I out front.
But 38* F is the hi slushy out but that is slick to drive on...
So cooking is how I'm going to be adding a wonderful aroma to my home.
Biscuits bread or rolls still deciding.
[Oen baked chicken thighs maybe even brownies / might do them tomorrow.]
I shoveled off part of the deck so the ddoggo will not track in as much snow.
I'll be doing more of that for some exercise. Drive way is not snow covered.
Knitting & crocheting is in my plans. I want to try to conquer a triangle shawl that has been eluding me.
Deviled eggs for bfast was a great plan!
Had my coffee with a drizzle of chocolate on top I've never done it that way before.
Did my journaling.
Trying to think of new ideas for art dates b/c of Joann's stores closing I have a list of things
I can do at home now!

Re: Make your Sunday sweeter smelling!
Spent some time in the kitchen to evaluate what and how much ready-to-eat food is available. Result = Almost none. The teens must have been hungry last night because this morning the refrigerator looks empty. Part of me is astonished how fast they go through food. In addition to the many things I have cooked this week it has been a rare week with eating out so many times = purchasing 3 pizzas 3 separate times, plus 3 meals at fast food place (hamburgers), and 2 potluck meals with friends. But none of that matters when I open the refrigerator doors and see there isn't food ready for today. So....starting to restock
** available = cornbread, biscuits, cooked apples
** A pot is simmering with Beans, Rice & ground beef
** in process of being prep'd = cod fillets, sweet teriyaki chicken, pork chops, riced cauliflower, liver & onions, roasted asparagus.

Re: Make your Sunday sweeter smelling!
Wind here is pretty intense, too, although not quite so unpredictable as Cathy's. It got loud and thunder-y last night, with rain beating down.
Hope lucylee's roof situation is holding for her, if she's had weather similar. HRH was going to check on ours and I haven't heard him complain, so maybe we're alright.
HRH went out into the wind this a.m. because his dcousin came by with a dessert casserole - she had made 3 early, kept one, and her dh was driving her to a grandchild and to us with the others. While he was outside the wind was just roaring.
Not-so-sweet-smelling would have described our fridge before the good clean we gave it. Never found the exact source of a nagging odor that was juuuust enough to bother us. But so nice to have all the surfaces clean and fresh again.
