I also kept dgrands' about an hour while DS & ddil went to chiropractor appts. Then we all went out for supper.
I ALSO have started a FB thread asking for happy memories to share with my dmom on her upcoming 80th birthday. I'm already thrilled with the responses -- typing them up and I'm on page three already. Her birthday is March 1, and I don't think she's up to a big party like my cousins had for my aunt on her 80th. I will probably need to do something to keep it showing up on everyone's page, because as the week(s) pass, it will get lost in the midst of everyone's timelines, won't it?
DGD woke me at 7:00 wanting Hotspot. I got that started and told her to please let me sleep till 9:00, which she did, and then we went to H*rdee's.
(No school for them today.)
She got frustrated with her AirPods and wanted to go home fairly early. I told her, "Just wait -- in three days I will have good internet again."
DGD's reply: "You have NEVER had good internet."
LOL -- she's not wrong. DS and DDIL promise me I will be amazed at the Flash Fiber when it is installed.
BTW -- I did take a nap after I took her home.
It is cold here, (30 degrees F right now -- 9:00 pm.) That will be our high on Thursday, according to the weather app. Wednesday, I have to go to Next Town and preregister for the biopsy, and the high is predicted to be 37 degrees. Wednesday night, we are having supper at dbil's fiance's house, and the low is predicted to be 16 degrees, but I'm sure we will be back home long before it dips that low.
Ha! I bet some of you (Blessed?) would consider getting to the 30s a big warmup! And LadyM as the week goes on. (We have been known to cancel school based on weather predictions, too! I know it is nice to be able to plan ahead, for parents and teachers alike, but it is strange how we sometimes didn't know till 7:00 a.m. whether or not we'd have school, and now decisions are made the day before the weather is expected, so sometimes they're home for a flood and the sky is blue as can be!
We actually have a chance for mixed precipitation Thursday also, but it looks unlikely that we'll get any measurable snow.
I recorded the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary show Saturday and I'm watching it now.
Cathy, that is really nice that y'all have a Family Day set aside as a holiday. I guess our school kids get out for something most every month, but I haven't really thought about it. I know when I was teaching, it seemed like a L O N G time between some of those holidays, though.
There must be a lot of celebrating for the day -- I just realized y'all didn't get past the first page! I will just wave to everyone and wish you all a good day tomorrow!
