Freezing Friday PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

Wow, a lot of us are stuck in a deep freeze - RR is sunny FL cold too?

It's a good time to hunker down with decluttering projects, or read a book by the fire, or do a conga Friday cleaning. Just stay warm!

Oy it's cold out there! It was feels like 6 degrees when I got up, warming up today to 40 or so (air temp, not feels like) so will be a cold sunny day.

I don't think dh is planning to go to the office today. He went to his Rotary meeting this a.m. and said he might play indoor golf this afternoon with someone from his office. He's going to a wine tasting tonight - invited by a friend who had an extra ticket so he's going. Tomorrow we are going to a matinee show of SIX, the show that Lucy's ds and ddil saw recently. After we'll have early dinner with A and V to catch up with them.

I'm hoping that dh will come in and walk ddog this a.m. I'm so cold! (Update: Yes, he did!)

Good morning, Twins'. Warm thoughts to you!

We had a cold night and each successive night is only going to get a degree or two warmer. By Mon or Tues night I think we see at least the freezing mark at night but then it dips down again. But I cannot complain much because it will be sunny each day.
Today 42 for a high so that's not so bad. (Said by someone without a dog who wants a walk.) Snow is leaving us and almost gone at some places.

lucylee, we have a cell phone and a landline with 5 of its phone receivers at various places in the house.

HRH had a hard night and he is still in bed. He will very much be a priority today, to see what's going on with him.

TaDa today is a spif of master bath already this morning. Cloth bathmat in the wash now.

And yesterday the SHE'S SPECAL DATES thread in MO updated through all of 2025.

Harriet & Twins - THANK YOU for keeping this SHE board going and taking care of all the behind the scenes actions needed.

This is our last day in the 105 hours of below freezing temp. I am looking forward to tomorrow around 10am when we have warmer temps. Sunday at 10am we start a 7 day period with the temps are above freezing 24 hours a day. Winter weather is almost over. We are 27 days away from spring.

No landline phone here for decades. I do make sure we have alternative means to keep cell phones charged. We can make calls through WIFI if the cell towers go down for some reason.

I need to get out of the house. I am feeling a bit of cabin fever coming on.

Taking a break.

I am working on March homeschool lesson plan and assignments. I decided to add another curriculum, so I spent some time researching those. Over the years I have researched, investigated, and learned what works for DS16 so many types of curriculums are easily eliminated as possibilities. However, with the announcement that ChatGPT and Khan Academy have teamed up, it sent me down the rabbit hole of all the new abilities that AI adds. WOW. Hate it or love it......having a free personalized A1 tutor is an educational game changer. I can't imagine or comprehend what education will look like in 10 years.
