Got two more items out of the plant shed area.

This is a busy week. I have two out of the house appts tomorrow, then two online appts (all day institute, plus a 30 min zoom with mentee at a break) on Wednesday. And I'm cancelling my body work appointment which I made for Wednesday when I didn't remember that I had an all day webinar. I'd like to get the body work appointment, if I'm going every two weeks, into a less busy week anyway.

At first, I was confused and didn't think Mystery had given us a date, but I searched posts a bit and she did say it was the 24th, so thank you, LadyM, for discerning that. She had to be there at 9 something this a.m. for an 11 something procedure. Big hugs!

Was able to do some cooking today and made my pineapple-pepper skillet dish with several parts - smelled nice. HRH had a medium sized portion, a reasonable meal. Not exactly wolfing down a lot, but having appetite. It did my heart good. I needed a nap later, but then I didn't sleep well last night. We missed a rather routine exam this morning because he simply didn't feel well, so I cancelled it yesterday online. Theoretically, that can be done another time and no big deal, but my stamina does ebb and flow, so I hated to do it. Can't think when I've cancelled an appt with so little notice. We were both relieved last night, though, knowing it was done, and we couldn't change our minds if we wanted to.

We made a grocery order that will arrive in the morning. He insists on the 8-to-10 slot, even though whether he will feel well enough to be up before 8, unlocking, propping screen door open, etc. would seem less than certain. Added sweet potatoes to this order hoping that will be good for me - don't know why but I haven't wanted them for a while, and they have so many benefits. If I was supposed to be getting my weight back up during this time, well, it hasn't happened. Wonder if I will be disapproved of.

Ddolder reports that - surprise! - she had to make an urgent long Saturday drive to DangerBoy's campus, as did another set of parents and another mother. They had a walk-through tour of a townhouse apt for 3 roommate boys. The 4th had somehow made it in to the on-campus housing - maybe it is a lottery at some point, not sure. Anyway, their decision was required fast and all 3 were given parental permission, after seeing the townhouse and walking the distances themselves, to use parents as guarantors. Yesterday, everyone signed by doc u sign. Ddolder is glad to have met the other parents and gotten all their info, been able to give her own.

I know it seems incredibly early (February for an August change), but had they waited even another week they might have been reduced to looking only at housing across multi-lane streets from campus. Dd "clocked" the walk to Engineering building at 15 minutes, walk to the campus bus line on weekdays at only 1 minute. They leave their apt parking lot, walk through another apt parking lot and then through some woods to the actual campus boundary. One of the other boys will have a car - he's the only one. DangerBoy will have one of two smaller bedrooms but only on 2nd floor, not what I would call the large attic - another roommate is charmed by that one and willing to pay a little more percentage.

All I can think is that I want WonderBoy to stay home and go to school here!

Harriet so happy for Danger boy to have a good place for school such a big step however I understand
wanting him to go locally. Harriet glad to read that you were able to cook.

Safe after some winds that came through I was uneasy went to my office and did an extra QT lesson glad I did it was on PM Routine.
I need to pay attn. to that & wash up my dish. X
It is raining outside here now.
Was able to work through some thing that has been OMM today as well.
Prepped for trash day tomorrow this afternoon.

I certainly need to do better with my night time routine. A bedtime routine that starts at 2:00 a.m. isn't really very useful, is it? Well -- it's useful -- I don't go to bed without brushing my teeth and taking my meds, but still... I could do better!

Today, I have done most of my laundry and I have clean sheets on the bed.
S/S bathrooms, but master bath still needs a lot of decluttering. I'm still in that zone of "What Cries Out" and the books and papers in the master bath/office and master bedroom are REALLY crying out.
I also had a bunch of errands to run --
* pay car insurance -- got a little bit of credit back since I cancelled truck insurance
* post office
* drug store
* Wmart

Also needed to go to the county agricultural office -- I forget what it's called -- we I (will I EVER adjust to THAT) I have some acreage planted in trees, which is part of a government program. They pay on a yearly basis and the trees are supposed to grow for 15 years, I think. It is probably one of those programs that some would consider waste, but it's a preservation thing, I believe. Dfil started this long before dh passed away, so we just kept it going and I will continue. The land is kinda low and swampy and if anyone wanted to buy it to build on, they'd probably have to bring in some dirt to build it up.

I have also worked on my memory book for dmom's birthday. I have about 35-40 responses. I hope some more will come in before the week is out, but I know it is going to be a surprise and she will enjoy reading these responses.

Tomorrow I will take her to the foot doctor and then Wednesday is D-day for me. I sure hope Mystery is doing okay. I don't know exactly what her procedure is, but nothing that requires going to the hospital is a fun day in the park, is it? (((Harriet))) -- I know you're probably nodding in agreement on that!

I can relate to your wish that the next grandson stays closer to home, Harriet. DGS here, of course, has five years after this one before he will face college decisions, and he fully expects to go to AU, live in the condo we've had since his dad started there, and carry on the family tradition. I know a lot can change in five years, but I know it will pass quickly, also. And I would love to keep him right here, attending college at my alma mater, only two counties away!

And I'm so glad LadyM is seeing warmer temperatures!
And Cathy, although you have a ways to go before you can break out flip flops, LOL...
I guess that's true, anyway. It seems no matter HOW cold it gets, If I go to town, I will see someone wearing shorts. I don't know how they do it -- or why.
Here, it was pleasant today, will be better tomorrow, and may break 70 degrees by Wednesday.
AND MAYBE, if the lab work is prompt, I will have my Christmas tree down by Fat Tuesday.

Twins, it looks like you have been whizzing around like the Roomba yourself! WTG!

I am having trouble believing that February is almost over.
Part of my thing is trying to wrap my head around the fact that soon, I will be facing the one year anniversary of dh's death. I just can't really believe that, and when I think about it, tears still come. I can talk about dh and laugh about things he said or did, but I still can't really see ahead to the future.
But -- dgrands will be starting ball seasons soon, two schedules to keep up with, plus helping out when dgd's gymnastics conflicts with softball... dmom may be having surgery on that foot... life just keeps... happening.

Blessed hasn't checked in today, has she? Blessed -- hope your day has been good and all is well with your dmom and dh!
