Checking Back In ~
one class is over.
I have switched out the washer twins.
Chicken soup has been started.
Did some planning.
Brought up meat to thaw out for later to pre-cook when I make up pizzas to freeze ahead.
Sheets are folded and put away now.
Yea for progress!

LM glad you reminded me about the stress one can pick up around others I think that's what has
been going on for me at Sun. gatherings.
Also glad you got Mr. LM to eat.

Got dressed.
Biscuits will be done in a few min. I made 3.
Got more laundry upstairs folded & put away next and last is load in the dryer.
Walked out to the mail box got it all junk have not tossed it yet.
Just a few more rows on my current hot pad project. X = Done.

Walked and got my steps in for today yea!
Trash is dumped.
I dusted most of the Liv. room.
I got the dishes done after dinner.
Last load of laundry is folded now.

Glad Harriet has checked in.

Biopsy results are good — benign. Don’t have to do a follow-up appt! Thanks for your you all for your prayers.
You know, I feel like this whole thing was very unnecessary, but maybe God had something to teach me about trusting Him, especially now that I’m on my own.

Christmas tree is coming DOWN— as soon as these carpenters get out of my way!

mom decided to sit on the floor next to the dog - I suggested it might be hard getting up - it was - she wasn't thrilled with my suggestion but I showed her the video on how to get up with a chair. All I could think of is what do I do now! with some help from me and the video mom got up after 15 minutes.

So glad for good news on the biopsy, Lucylee! And yes, get that tree down, although I do have a friend who leaves hers up and decorates for Valentine's day and later Easter.

I had a sharp pain in my hip as I started my workout and wasn't able to do much leg work. I did upper body and left early. Doc got me in, he thinks it's muscular - trainer didn't think so - but X ray was okay. So I'm sore - I'm going to try to get in with dmassage therapist tomorrow afternoon but I doubt he'll be able to. And he doesn't work weekends.

And another thing I did this a.m. was to set up a repair call for icemaker in refrigerator - we are having company on Saturday night - so I might need to reschedule dcousin for lunch tomorrow. I'm going to message her and let her know that if the appointment ends up on the later side of the timeline I might need to reschedule.

Happy for blessed dmother getting up from floor even though it takes some thinking and planning. blessed, hoping her bruises/scrapes are not bothering her from yesterday and hoping the news from your dhusband's med pros is good, too. And that you are getting in bits of cheer such as planting, garden planning.

I felt ordinary during monitoring. We ate a little something when we got home and I went to bed for a long nap.

LadyM, hoping the day went well for you and also for your dh. Always hard to deal with sad occasions.

Good evening!

My big thumbs-up here is that the kids and I finally went for haircuts! The last time we were scheduled for haircuts was the day my mom died, and I never rescheduled. And that kept getting put off and put off, but now my hair is back to shoulder length, and the bottom inch or two is a lovely shade of blue. If I dyed it back to my younger shade, I've been keeping it the natural gray for long enough that it would be really obvious, so as long as it's going to be obvious, it might as well be obvious, right? Anyhow, it makes me smile.

Much running around today. Got DC to school, then home again so we could go out for the haircuts. Then DC wanted to be dropped at their girlfriend's and would* take the bus from there to play practice. Stopped for lunch on the way back and took DD to work, then got home in time for an online appointment with the nutritionist. The rest of the day was clear until I got to wondering if DC was on their bus. So I looked up their location, and it said they were at the college -- nine hours ago. Out of curiosity, I texted to ask where they were, expecting them to be in transit, but they said they had missed the bus and were still at their grlfriend's. Did they need a ride? "Please?" So off I went -- and discovered I was just minutes ahead of the next bus. DH is out on the pickup run now.

I like that "mental basket of well-being," Twins. I will have to copy it somewhere.

Sorry you're not feeling well, Nancy. Sounds like you're still quite productive, though.

I can give today a partial thumbs-up because the ornaments are OFF the tree and in their boxes. (Most of them don't have dedicated boxes, but they are all stowed away in appropriate packaging. Lights are still on, and I have noticed that the very bottom strand is out. I think that just happened in the last two days.

BIG thumbs up for household repairs being done. Total cost was $1185. I thought that was VERY reasonable, because
I had three carpenters/electricians/painters/etc here for most of four days.
The ceiling is repaired in the study, there is a "just in case" drain in the attic (which still needs some trim work on the pipe diverting any water to the outside; he says he will be back soon with taller ladder, when he begins work at ds' house.)
The bathroom floor and drain in the shower is repaired, plus I have a LIGHT over the shower for the first time in the 40 years since we built. (I don't know why ddad didn't put a light there in the original floor plans, but dh basically showered in a semi-dark shower the whole time.) The carpenter also promises to come back and put a sort of "transition" strip where the new flooring meets the old. It is definitely not a perfect match, but it is close enough and gives the impression that the shower area just had different flooring.
I ALSO have ring doorbells at both entries...
AND the light in my oven has been replaced.

Can y'all BELIEVE after all these years of talking about these embarrassments in this house, these things are DONE???
Dsisil2b acted like she was so proud of me for getting all this done "on my own" but honestly, I have to give DS a lot of credit. He sees the carpenter at least a couple times a month, and has had him do a lot of work at ds' house. He and his wife have been family friends since DS was a teenager (we met because he asked DS to play with a group of musicians he belonged to) and he and his wife practically consider DS an extra grandchild. So DS got the ball rolling to get him here to my house.

BUT -- thumbs down for me, with much regret and embarrassment -- when I started to go to town (to get money to pay them) I backed into the head man's truck!
Oh. My. Goodness. I was horrified. Luckily, it was barely noticeable, but when he opened the door, it made a loud creaking sound. Oh my. He was sooo nice about it. I offered to turn it in to my insurance or give him extra money with my bill. He just took a crowbar out of the back of his truck, popped it in the space where the door hinge was, and presto -- noise is gone. I still felt really bad about it and offered again to try to cover it if he wanted to get it checked out. He said the truck was a 2005 model, he only had liability insurance on it, and if I turned it in to insurance, it would cause my rates to go up, but there was no need in it. He started pointing out all the other little dings and scratches. And truthfully, I cannot see a scratch on his vehicle and very slight scratching on mine... but I still felt so awful. He finishes a lot of work for me, charges me a very reasonable price, and go out and crash into his truck.

Anyway -- it's done, and the tree is in the process of coming down, and this has been a good week.

AND another JOY for me, I will get to go to dgd's first game tomorrow, because DGS doesn't have practice after all. (DDIL and I were going to have to split up with these two tomorrow.)

Also, I am so happy I don't have to set an alarm tomorrow that I could turn cartwheels. (If I could turn cartwheels, LOL.)
