[Twins' Mom]

Done again. I've emptied the internal dust bin three times and changed the filter once. It was stuffed full with dog fur., not surprising considering how much she's out there. It's still running this time and the rug looks good. I ask dcleaning lady to vacuum out there when we're using it a lot but I guess it's been awhile.

I hear the garage door opening, dh is about to load counters up with groceries to put away

Next round:
-brunch/lunch
-clear kitchen counters etc. and wipe down
-empty dishwasher
-set DR table and pull our plates to use (ten!)
-wipe out refrigerator a little

Had a nice omelet for brunch, so full of veggies and variety mushrooms that I couldn't keep it pretty when I flipped it, but still tasted extra good!

Put in a load of linen laundry. Somehow lost a pillowcase between bedroom to washing machine. I guess I will find that it had hidden in the curve of the fitted sheet, but I thought I went through all that. Happy that I made mental notes of how to reverse the sheets so they wear more evenly. It always frustrates me if I forget to do that.

Bank had sent a new card, so I followed instructions to activate that right away before forgetting. Says I have been a customer for 52 years. I remember when my Daddy used to take me with him to the nearby town's bank, when it was named for the town. This particular "recollection" of the bank's would place me getting an account there when I was a junior or senior in high school. They have changed hands to different banking institutions 5 times since then.

Lunch was awesome I bagged up left overs for later.
So it was well worth my time.
Walked took Rx waited so I did not have to worry about a low on the walk.
Sun is trying to peek through the clouds.
I could not find the sweats I wanted so just wore regular clothes with jeans as it was a bit cooler out when we left.
Nothing matched but I did enjoy my pink shoes!

Did kitchen clean up and reclaimed counters put those away.
Harriet your omelette sounded SO yummy!

Had to clean up the back part of the toilet chain caught the refill hose and it put water on the floor.
Good news all it well & I have mopped up the bathroom floor again.

Well everyone seems to be having a good day.

Thankfully I’ve only been depressed during a few personal events, s, but on the whole I’m a happy girl!

Harriet … you’re right I’ve been digging inthe dirt most of the day and Sweetie is still at it. He’s sawing and removing the tree roots that were left behind when we removed it. Tried to get him to come in, but he shooed me away.

I did several loads of laundry yesterday and today and every thing is clean and put away.

I just stopped by to say hi, but still have a few more things to do outside. Hopefully I’ll be so tired I’ll head to bed early and not be bothered by daylight savings time… see y

I have not cuop but I MUST CLARIFY --

NO TREES have come down.
I think I must have created a misunderstanding with a post about dgd's reaction to the windy day we had earlier in the week.
DGD was talking about a tree at SCHOOL and how it was bending in the wind. This tree did not fall either, but they were on the playground in the wind, and dgd was overly dramatic about the whole thing.

Nope, I've not been busy with anything except getting DGD to ballgame at 5:15 pm yesterday... and 8:15 a.m. this morning... and we were not early or exactly on time for either event. Sigh. I am so glad her parents will be in charge Monday. Both dgrands are at the other grandparents now and I am actually glad to have some quiet time after this busy week.

the omelet sounds wonderful d harriet - I like thyme in mine as well but I don't know if anyone else would like that

Yes I looked up where potatoes came from - Peru and the rest of south America - as soon as mom mentioned it - I couldn't help but look it up - lol we later had a nice talk with mom about what I found.

I had planned on making sole but mom ate a late lunch - but she did get up very late - breakfast was at 11:00 am for her
we are having a little problem with mom saying that 10pm/11pm/12 am is too early to go to bed from her days with dd younger. 8:00 am is too early for her to get up (I go to bed at 9 pm as I like to get up early lol.

it has not been a tiring day but a fruitful one!

I finally ordered the chair from pottery barn - we had our couch on a twelve month plan and we finally could get the chair that matched. lol it will not be here until August 20th. Mom came with me and then dd older and I went back - she thought we should do the ottoman as well.
We stopped by the faucet place and that was closed already (mom came with).
went to the post office and the bank.

After getting new sheets on our bed, with HRH's help (my grip strength just wouldn't tug that last fitted corner), I ended up breaking it in right away with a nap, lol. So glad to get that room's chores done today. Also washing dishes plus doing laundry today, so we were getting from point A to point B and keeping up.

We have had no company and almost no phone calls today, but that is fine, having seen several folks come by yesterday. It's okay to have a quiet day, although I wish I had a crystal ball to tell me in advance what to expect! I might get more done if I knew a day was so clear.

Well, surprised to have a late call after all. Dd26 called to tell about her day. She traded cars - another used car but hopefully one that will give long service and be very safe and reliable for the stop-and-go traffic she deals with every day. She had a long trip to the dealership where she found it after a lot of research, so she has had a tiring Saturday and looking forward to rest tomorrow.

We enjoyed watching old television tonight. Have a good night's sleep, everyone.
