Tuesday TA DA Tally PWYC
Count 'em up today!
I was up earlier than yesterday (barely!) and already got the garbage out. (Ta da!)
It's a beautiful day here, enjoy your day and its accomplishments. And our productivity is catching, we're inspired by our village!

Re: Tuesday TA DA Tally PWYC
Good morning!
The TA-DA's are starting to add up one by one.
** Trash to the road
** Racoon trap checked. Nothing... Texted the fella to let him know.
** DD13 to school with a little discussion. We will present both sides to her counselor tonight and discuss it more.
** Homeschool with DS16. He was up at 6:30am working on today's assignments.
** First trip to the garden enjoyed. Removed the night covers from tomato & peppers plants that have been transplanted into 8" pots. It is astonishing to see the plants grow so fast. Their size is increasing at least 3" a day in height and width.
Next up -
** Finish personal AM care. Teeth, hair and face
** Fill AM/PM slots in monthly med container for DH meds
** Finish morning walk. I got through 1/3 of it before leaving to take DD13 to school.

Re: Tuesday TA DA Tally PWYC
Morning girls…
Morning routines done
Footprints gone
Am eating my breakfast at the moment
Next up…
Check my garden
Design some activities for the kids tonight
Work on my side garden
Harriet… I HATE my side by side because the freezer is so small and hard to keep organized. It’s more like push and shove to get things in it. Or better pile on!
Each shelve has designated foods… one for beef, chicken and seafood and a very small basket at the bottom for odds and ends like butter. I use plastic dollar store basked to contain my food. I store quick dinners like chicken pot pies and such for Sweetie on the door slots. Most of the time if I need some thing I have to pull the contents of that shelf to find what I need.
I had a French door fridge with a freezer on the bottom which I loved, but it wouldn’t fit in my new kitchen.

Re: Tuesday TA DA Tally PWYC
Today I have a therapist visit and a guy coming to service the gas fireplace. I think I also have to call about the craft ice maker because it's working again.
Dh is bowling so I'm not cooking tonight.
My back is aching on one side this a.m. and I'm feeling just sore. Had 8K steps yesterday.
When researching upstairs last night I found something amazing - I had always assumed that William lived in Loudoun Co VA before he moved to TN in 1790s. I found a document when William and his Haworth brother-in-law bordered a survey in Frederick Co. VA in 1775. I'd think it was a different William White except that it borders the bil - proximity here is a probable indication of identity. So I need to double up research in Frederick as well and determine where he actually lived. There is a William White in Loudoun on a 1782 Loudoun Co tax list. Did he move back? His father and brother are on that tax list, too. What fun! So that has spurred on my research.
Already 10 a.m. Today feels like repeat of yesterday when the day got away from me. On to a.m. routine and shower....
LadyM, amazing that your garden is growing so! Do you have storms coming through this week? I think we have potential storms on Saturday.

Nodding in agreement. Side by side feels less roomy.Harriet… I HATE my side by side because the freezer is so small and hard to keep organized.

Re: Tuesday TA DA Tally PWYC
I agree with the side by side not really working well for food. my mom has one and it isn't great on freezer storage etc.
hello everyone.
wishing everyone a wonderful day.
I am taking the ta da tally and add a timer challenge to my day.
we were supposed to get dh's oxygen but now he needs the trac humidifier at night.- he says he won't use it.
but that won't be an option.
I have gained mental strength since he has been in the hospital so I think I can handle things better when he gets home. I was drained and now I feel like I am back to a healthier mind set.

Similar experiences here with fridge decisions. Ddolder and family still have trouble with the larger (as Ramblin' described) fridge at my previous house, in that the ice maker was a problem even early-on, no matter how much more expensive the original price tag on the fridge. It was/is, as Mystery mentioned, plenty large, since in that later-built home there was not just a confined space allotted to it in the house plan, so we assumed we'd like bigger better. And yes, I remember trouble getting it in the door, solved by taking off its doors or something - installers managed. I suppose a family of five with growing boys has been well-served by the size of it.
Enjoyed texting with ds this morning. I needed to make sure he wasn't traveling this week. He said even if he was out of state he would get a flight home for his pie, lol. When HRH finishes with some lunch he wanted to make in the kitchen in a little bit, I'll start the pie. it needs a day to chill before finishing tomorrow.
He wanted to know how I feel, and I said "complicated". We keep getting more info we are supposed to read and deal with/accept. When he gets a chance to actually have a conversation, I'll get into talking about my hip and about walking progress.
Twins', it does sounds as if you are having genealogy fun unraveling puzzles.
LadyM, your ds16 was really on the ball this morning.
blessed, those magic words, "The doctor says... .." are a great help. Even, "The doctor told us ... ..".
Mornin', Nancy.
Thinking of Cathy's household with potential flu worries.
Time to go enjoy this lunch HRH is setting out - smells good.

bw2, even referring to your notes to reiterate "the doctor said..." might be helpful. My mother would always respond with surprise, then, since I took notes, I would quote it back to her....
Need to leave for therapist in a little more than 30 min. I ate a healthy breakfast of omelet with cheese and kale, fruit and yogurt. Yesterday my weight fell nearly 2 lbs. One day doesn't help that moving average much, but it was gratifying to see. After workout late in the afternoon I had leftover grilled chicken with no sugar barbeque sauce and part of a sweet potato. Later, nearer bedtime I ate some cheese and crackers.

Re: Tuesday TA DA Tally PWYC
TA-DA's continue to accumulate one by one.
I took DH to get his hair cut. For the first time in his life DH had his nose hair & ear hair removal by wax because the hair stylist encourages it. It is $10 to do which seems very reasonable. HOWEVER, I question whether it is wise. I assume that we have hair inside our nose for a reason. Yanking all hair out of the tender skin inside nose makes me wonder if it is a health risk. I have never researched this and could very well be wrong. hum...
Our weather for the next 10 days looks wonderful. The lowest temp is 35F with several days in the 80's. I am so very tempted to start planting the garden. Our typical last frost is April 10th so it is waaaaay too early if I just look at the calendar.

Re: Tuesday TA DA Tally PWYC
Twins...The presentation I went to yesterday was to let us know in our community that there is a formal genealogy group here in this area. I didnt know that. They offer workshops and webinars several times a month with Saturday workshops, some in person usually once a month. It was just a general information presentation letting us know what they do in their organization.
I finally have things to do with my group today. I still can't find the necessary notebooks I need that has many worksheets I want to use with them. I've been through every box in my home and cant find them, so my guess is the notebooks are in the attic. I look for them another day. In the meantime I wrote up a very quick and simple work sheet with questions to be answered about school bullies. The grades my kids are in are wide spread from 3-8th grades. I wanted the survey to be anonymous and easy to answer. That will give the officers I am working with something to focus on when they are mentoring the kids.
I have several story writers within the group and also made a copy of my list of writing ideas to share with them. Not that they will use it, but to give them an idea on how keep their own ideas together so they can use them. And since I suspect I'll be helping different groups of kids at different times I packed my Mary Poppin's bag with games like Sorry and Uno, along with my Jacks. Yes I still have mine and kids just still seem to love playing with them. Mine are metal, not the plastic kind you find now a days.
Off to eat my lunch...waving to yall
