Good afternoon, everyone!

So good to see Kathryn here if even for a brief minute. We do think of you when you're not around.

Thanks all for putting my misadventures of yesterday into perspective. Yes, the thing that matters most is that all is well.

Three things, hmm?
• Finish today's laundry (and yesterday's that I didn't quite finish)
• (Does nagging count?) Make sure DC completes the online portion of their driving class so they can sign up for road lessons.
• Do some work in the playroom/sunroom and make a list of what I'd like to have the offspring do

I hope you had a good lunch with your cousin, Twins.

So nice to see helia! So, we may have an influx of new/old faces?

I hope the EEG gives some answers, or at least some direction, LadyM.

I hope the cards help your mom, blessed.

Glad the coffee helped, Nancy.

Need to take DD to work. When I come back, I'll say something to DC, who has finally shown their face, and do my chair exercises. Then it will likely be back to the laundry.

Kathryn… ditto what mystery said. It’s nice to see you even if it’s once in a while.

Almost finished my list. I need to fold and put away the laundry that is sitting in the basket in front of me. Then I get to head out and play in the dirt.

Yes, good to hear from you, Kathryn, and thanks for working on the boards for us!

Three things --
* change sheets (making progress, sheets are in the washer dryer now)
* send teacher group email -- reminder for next week (DONE)
* clean bathrooms

I have also cleared out some emails -- for some reason, when I delete things in my phone email, it sometimes doesn't delete them from the pc, and I really don't use the pc as much as I used to. I use the Chromebook more.

I have been talking to ds on the phone, and texting with ddil. Change in plans -- ddil has the stomach bug, and has asked me to switch children this afternoon -- I will take dgd to gymnastics and her ballgame, ddil will take dgs to his practice, so she can just sit in the car. (DS is out of town.) I am picking up the kids at school also and just set an alarm to make sure I get in the shower in time.

Editing --
Also printed return slip for dmom's shoes that were the wrong size. LOL -- apparently 8M (while looking at WOMEN'S shoes) did not mean 8 MEDIUM, but rather 8 MEN!!! SMH...   )

MUST S2S now! Alarm went off!
Waving to all!
Tomorrow is another day.

Oh it's good to see Kathryn looking in on us! And I see my status has changed around here, I hope my head doesn't get too big, lol.

Dcousin J and I had a nice lunch of digustingly good burgers - not good for us but oh so good. I stuck around awhile to talk and visit. Some of the family things she has clued me in about recently have been on my mind and we talked about some of those.

I came home with the intent of making my second thing a nap. When I came to door from garage into house, tho, ddog met me, panting, and bolted out garage door before it closed (of course, it stopped when it sensed something going through) then she came right back to me. Something was emitting one of those high pitched chirps that completely freaks my dog out - I think it hurts her ears. She was so shook up out she wouldn't take any meds or even lick a mat to get them. But I figured out what was beeping - the CO2 monitor - got the battery changed, and all is well now. She will recover, and my heart rate is coming down, thankfully.

I'm heading for that nap next. The third thing may be something I haven't done in, like, a week, that is, to cook our dinner. I have pork chops thawing and have a couple of veggies available.

Dh is home tonight.

We had a successful medical appt, eating out and grocery shopping in the city. I went into the store with a handful of items on my list to buy and walked out with $230 of groceries. When the prices of groceries surprises me then I compare to what it cost to eat at home vs eating out. Then the price of groceries suddenly looks more like a bargain. As the price of food has risen, it has encouraged me to fine tune the pantry & freezer items we keep on hand. My goal is to have zero food waste.

The fella that is putting traps at our home to catch the raccoon has instead caught a possum in the trap. The fella said he is going to take the possum several miles away to be released. It is $50 to trap a racoon. I assume it is the same price for the possum. The racoon is destructive but I haven't had a problem with possums being around here. So do we tell the fella to turn the possum loose here? However, I don't want to keep catching him/her in the trap at $50 a time just to turn it loose again. Hum....

I'm so appreciative that you're considering our group, Kathryn.

Change will take time. We might not post in PWYC bc we all use long lists and I wouldn't want to clog your thread or change your culture. :) This group is fairly international with 3 Europeans that post regularly (one only on the weekends) and several Canadians; there are also several payroll SHEs, including myself.

I'm done with payroll. I managed to grade all the exams and update the grade website. I did not make progress on other things. I did jog the arb hill, which I haven't done for probably 6 months. I'm out of shape.

A dinner of leftovers is next. Dh and I will head out to the Lenten prayer group (I thought it was a Bible Study but maybe not) around 7:10 pm.

helia, I do hope we're able to work out logistics. I'd be wary of developing any old/new cliques; I'm sure we all can learn from others. We are all very wise women!

I'm hoping that bw2's first day with dh home has been successful!

I must have really needed that nap - I slept hard nearly two hours and was loath to wake up. Walked the dog a lap and then dh got home and we decided to use up leftovers from last night instead of cooking. That' was great because I'm feeling kind of drained. Dcousin and I talked a little about some family "secrets" and I feel like that is on my mind. I asked her today about the accident in which her father was killed - on a construction site where his brother, also an uncle, was the contractor, and if the contractor uncle was negligent. Apparently he was probably cutting corners. Also the realization of how close she was to my mother over the years, closer than me, even.

DD13 is home from public school. I just checked DS16 last homeschool assignment.
Drum roll please.........................................
Spring Break has officially begun!
I have 10 glorious days of no school activities.

I am thankful for the inclusion of SHE's who support others that have different lifestyles and locations. I am the only SHE here who adopted a baby and a 5 year old after retiring from a 35 year career. Each of us are different in many ways but the support is universal. I will be eternally grateful for the understanding, support and patience of this SHE village. ((((Group Hug))))
