Friday Conga Line PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

It's time for another Conga line...I need to conga out to my workout this a.m. and conga back home, are errands or other out of the house things on the agenda? Dcleaning lady was here but need to conga through and pick up footprints....

Where does your conga line lead today? All around the house? To the garden? To a crafting area or desk for writing? Out of the house on errand patrol?

Do share your conga line fun!

Good morning!

Twins - Thank you for starting the Conga line and encouragement.

I am feeling somewhat at a loss. I don't have a plan or goal for the 10 days of spring break. Part of me just wants to exhale, relax and enjoy the slower pace. Another part of me doesn't want to let this time pass without making progress in some area of my life. Hum....

DH was up on time this morning but has returned to bed for a nap. Yesterdays eeg test had a effect on him but he seems to be handling it okay in that he didn't lose his memory. They do the strobing lights to try to cause a seizure while they have all the electrodes attached to the skull. We haven't got the test results yet, but for hours after the test DH depth perception was off and his energy level is low. I am monitoring him while trying not to hover.

Morning walk happened without a timeline. I didn't have to watch the clock to get back home to do the next thing. Nice!

Oh my goodness, bw2. I hope dh is okay, O2 at 50 is wow. And LordM suffering the effects of his testing yesterday. It sounds like a rest day is on the schedule for him.

DMillie didn't get up until just now when I went to get dressed for my workout. She was snuggled up against dh's pillows on the bed. Dh just got home from Rotary and is taking her for a walk, I'll have to walk with her extra this afternoon.

I'm trying to talk myself out of workout but I'm dressed and I'll go.

(((Blessed)))) Glad your DH got the emergency medical care he needed and is being well cared for. How are you doing?

I have been talking to AI. I can see how addictive this could become. It feels like I am having a conversation with a friend.

Asparagus beds checked and nothing is growing yet.

Traps checked and they have another possum. The fella doing the traps recommended that we let him take yesterday possum several miles away to be released. So this is a different possum from the one caught yesterday. Hopefully any other possums will stay away from the traps. I want to keep some possums around because they keep the mice and snake population under control. My goal is to trap the destructive racoons. So far, that has proven to be harder than expected.

next up -
** Me - Finish AM personal care
** Inside - Swiffer floors
** Outside - 250+ steps, plant onions, Harvest greens from garden, wash and freeze.

Good morning! Did some payroll this morning; I was hoping to do 2 hours' worth, but I had some tedious training I needed to do, so I'm just kind of fried right now. I may pick up some again later. I had a meeting w/dfriend and her technical writer; this short-term project is to come up with an outline for a design standards guide -- sort of like a style guide but for visual information, layout, etc. Things like, "headlines are in this font," "the company logo is printed in these colors," "illustrations should be made to look like finished objects, not engineering drawings," and so forth. Making the actual guide is a longer-term project that will be fit in between other ones, like we're doing right now. The meeting went well, but I had to do some mandatory training on electrical safety. The company makes electrical equipment, so it makes sense for anyone onsite. For me, though, it just increased my anxiety about all things electrical.

I should rouse DC. They want to go to their girlfriend's today. I said I'm not driving them unless they have either finished the online portion of their driving classes or done as much as they can before being locked out (there is a maximum amount of time you can spend each session). DD has finally started road lessons, and I want DC to, too. Driving is getting really old. Of course, when they do get their licenses, there is the question of what they will drive. We have late DFIL's old car in our garage; my plan is to get our mechanic to fix it up. DH is convinced all it really needs is a new battery; however, it's been sitting in the garage long enough that I figure all the fluids should be flushed. (But maybe I'm wrong -- I'm no car expert.) And then it needs emissions testing before it can be licensed again -- and because it wasn't running when it was last due for testing, DH let the license lapse. I don't know what problems that's going to cause. And that's just one car, and we'll be adding two drivers....

Oh, blessed, how scary! I'm glad he's doing better.

Conga, huh? I need to
• start a load of wash
• fold yesterday's wash that I left in the dryer
• have some lunch
• do my chair exercises
• do some dishes (I had everything done before yesterday's dinner because I knew it would involve the wok, which is a pain to wash because it doesn't fit in the sink, but we've got the wok and two cutting boards, and the dinner dishes, and the breakfast dishes, and some dishes that appeared from I don't know where!)
• eventually take DC to their girlfriend's

That'll keep me dancing!

Those 3 accomplished (plus more not listed). Instead of swiffer I used Henry to vacuum floors.

With reduced must-do's, I am rediscovering how side trackable I am.
I took the time to have chatty back-n-forth conversation with AI
Now I am watching and listening to eagle nest live video feed

The wind is showing off and doing its thing. The sky is turning brownish from so much dirt being blown. DS16 just called to chat because he is bored while sitting and waiting. He is filling up a 900 gallon tank on a trailer to have it ready in case of a fire. If a fire starts in this wind, it would almost be unstoppable but having water readily available might save a structure.

Blessed… sending hugs and prayers to y’all ❤️

LadyM… I love seeing how responsible and mature your son is.

I went to class and then to my coffee gathering. Went to my dollar store after that for a few baskets. I’m decluttering my linen closet and my makeup in my bathroom.

I need more dirt for my side garden so need to go to HD. I asked Sweetie to go with me because I need help loading the bags into my trunk, but he is snoozing at the moment.

My lower back was killing me yesterday from lifting and filling the dirt in my garden. Had to stop because it was hurting so bad.

Think it’s really my hips that are causing the problem. This morning in class my lower back began hurting me as soon as I started lifting my legs. Came home and started exercises that targeted my hips including stretches. Got some relief so will and it to my morning routine.
